The problem is Seabass makes 1 great kick and then falters. In Arizona he missed 3 the last one killed us. That game alone would have kept us with a fighting shot at the playoffs against the Colts. Then his horrible kickoff after Mcfadden scores a Touchdown in Jacksonville. Jano has one games for us but it is the inconsiticy that kills us.
As for the offseason We need to bring in Mankins, and draft a good Guard. Shift Mario to Right Tackle. Could be a special line. On D we need OLB that Howrd falled to be, and we need to figure out the safety situation, rid the contract of Chris Johnson & figure out what the heck is wrong with Stnaford Routt.

Truth is this is a QB starved league, great QB's aren't walking the street with nothing to do. You have to be in the right place st the right time and even then the guy may not pan out. IMO JC is already in the top half of the league. I'd bet that most in here wohuld consider Eli Manning a great QB because they won a SB. Well IMO if JC had the same team and system around him as long he'd probabaly be better.

I was somewhat impressed with his lastr outting and it wasn't anything worth wrting home about in fact it was rather ordinary. Buyt what he did is kept us in it by not turning the ball over and causeing the game to get out of control. If we scould've broke a few tackles or big gains we could've won. The Indy defense tackled better than we did and won that game.

The RB's weren't special at all but they got and extra 5 yards almost everytime on bad tackling. On the other hand they got our guys on the ground. We went away from the run much faster than we shguld as usual with 17 carries for 2 great backs in a tight game. When you take the ball out of those two HB hands and start throwing you better hit on some big plays because they are your bread and butter. We just seem to think we have Lerry Fitzgerald at WR as well Roddy White. It's DUMB IMO to go away from your best players and try to win. But we do it consistently.

Our record is 7-8 and I gaurantee you those 7 wins we ran at least 35x's each game. The loses we average less than 20 between those two HB's. Which begs the question WHY??????

I think ppl get frustrated that Jano is the highest paid kicker. Esp when he is mediocre at best in the clutch and his kickoffs are getting shorter by the day.

Look at the Mia, Jax, Ariz and yes even the Colts game, how big would the kick before the half have been? JC drove us into FG range to see Jano miss it when it could have totally changed the game esp toward the end.

But if you like meaningless long FGs once and a while and high scoring out of a kicker who can't help you win games than Jano is 1st round talent

jano is worth every bit of that first round pick, and he is still at the top of his game...59 yards on a cold, rainy heavy air day from a mud puddle,,and he had room to spare..dude is money.. you can spin it any way you want

By the way, why all the hate on Jano. He didn't draft himself in the 1st and who cares about his salary, Al pays it, not us. It would also be very easy to make the point that with the exception of Asomugha, and possibly McFadden, he's the best 1st round pick the Raiders had this century. Of the 31 1st round picks that year there's only 6-7 of them left in the league so the return on that investment isn't that bad after all.

I see Woodson and D.Hall both made the Pro Bowl. Hall was beyond awful against Denver but I still find it hard to believe that with millions of dollars and a couple of draft picks involved we gave up on him so quickly. If nothing else, with his tackling ability and ball hawking he could have been the best nickel back in the league.
