Saunders, Raiders talking

Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said today the Raiders had requested permission to speak with senior offensive assistant Al Saunders, while NFL.com and the National Football Post both reported talks between Saunders and coach Hue Jackson were going on today.

Each publication cited “sources close to the situation.”

The National Football Post reported Saunders was “likely” to get the job. Jackson acknowledged Wednesday he wanted to Saunders but had other candidates in mind as well.

LMFAO at Pagano. Dude sure didnt hold anything back did he. I am 100% certain the league owners and coaches have lost all respect for Al. They’re just too afraid to say anything in public for fear of being Sued for Slander. During the next HC presser, Al will take credit for grooming Pagano though.

Funny as heck to see the reaction of the Al Davis loyalists…..

Yesterday felt like that SNL skit from last year where the guy playing Michael Steele was beign zapped into saying all the right things by Rush Limbaugh. Hue hid it rather well though I must say. no twitching, spastic movements or smoe coming out from the top of his head. Maybe Big Al was light on the zap button.

dude, read that you are from San Jose and dont go to the game anymore. Do you know of any good bar that Raider fans hang out at in the Southbay on Raider Sunday?

    Jer

The 1st press conference, Hue Jackson was impressive optimistic, talked about building great staff.

The 2nd Press Conference, Al Davis was petty, vindictive and chasing good staff’s away.

    He’s sooo counterproductive.

  • RaidingTexas

Aig, I hear you on Pagano. It’s getting difficult to defend this team.

Oh wait, it has been difficult for nearly 10 fkn years.

K…..sooo…here we go…”Ode to Alzheimers AL” (please sing this to the melody of the Beverly Hillbillies’ theme song):

Come ‘n listen to my story ’bout Alzheimers AL
A shadow of himself, at the moon he would howl,
And then one day, dreamin of days gone by
Purple Drank appeared causing AL to sigh,

JaDumbarse, that is, black gold, BamaBoy…

Well, the first thing you know, AL’s 2 and 14
Nother seasons gone by, AL still has a dream,
Told ole Lance Californy is a place you ought’nt be
So Lance loaded up the truck and moved to Tennessee

    Hollywood..vertical attack, man-on-man, 1969…..

So AL’s still thinkin its 1969,
With a vertical attack everything’ll be fine
And Big AL know alls he gotta do, grab a Plunkett incarnate name of Campbell boo…

After 6 long quarters Campbells a slug,
ALs frothin at the mouth while Cable pulls the plug,
Overhead projectors burnin a hole, better turn AL out fore he has em all on the dole.

Well, now it’s time to say goodbye to AL and all his kin,
AL would like to thank you folks for kindly droppin’ in

Insanity and alzheimers, superbowls and gin.

You’re all invited back again to this locality
To have a heapin’ helpin’ of AL’s hospitality
Dementia, that is, set a spell, take your shoes off

    Y’all come back now, hear?

  • al d. davis

Alrighty…..here we go w/Alzheimer’s AL and his stanky stuff……entitled, “Revolving Coaches” (Please sing to the melody of “Green Acres” TV show.)

AL’s folly is for all to see,
Oakland Raiders is the team for me,

Coaches spreading out so far and wide,
Keep hiring and firing, just give me those days gone by.

Coach upon coach is what I’d rather do,
Dementia and inconsistency is the cardinal rule,
AL just adores paying coaches half the price,
    Dah-Ling I love you, but AL’s fantasy is not-so-nice.

    Vertical attack, 1969
    Man to man, mighty fine,
    Revolving Coaches, aint so cool…..
    AL knows best, nobody’s fool….

    You are AL’s life,
Cable’s gone, now Jackson’s his wife,
    OAKLAND RAIDERS WE ARE THERE!!!

  • weaselbit

Had Boldin not dropped that pass….
    ravens D is awesome.
wouldn’t mind having that mentality in Oakland.

And if all you fgrkishruing trolls hate the Raiders so much, just go away and jump on another team’s bandwagon.

Tired of having to take the time to skip over your pathetic posts.

Jim Mora turned down DC job offers from the Bronco’s and Eagles today. Could he be eyeing a return to the Bay Area?

  • http://no_knuckleheads! 909RaiderLifer

If Saunders really wants the gig, he should have stopped on the way from the airport and picked up the cheeseburgers and slaw…That would seal the deal..

  • weaselbit

    Mora 0-6 post season

  • imaquaman

after tom flores took a year off from coaching he joined seattle ,his response on money “I bet they offered you a handsome package that you couldn’t refuse?”

Flores: “No, not really, just renewed my contract, there wasn’t any package at all. I wish there was though, there was supposed to be but it just never materialized.”

the money thing is not just the raiders ,hell its more than nfl wide its world wide ,everyone wants the best deal they can get.if im not mistaken you do get to read your contract before you sign ?

  • http://no_knuckleheads! 909RaiderLifer

    Doesn’t Mora jr. run a 3-4 system?

Plus, his buddy Knapp has probably told him not to get within 100 miles of Alameda..

    Mora 0-6 post season
    ——————————-
Actually Mora’s 2004 Falcons got all the way to the NFC Championship game before losing to the Eagles.

  • aig-raiders

I think Mora wants to be a HC again. I doubt he will come to Oakland. He wants a job where he gets a shot at HC again for sure.

  • RaiderDebo

Cable on Sirus 124 tonight at 7pm. This should be good.

  • http://sportmag.us/images/Lester_Hayes_November_1981.jpg RaiderDogg

Personally I would rather have Dean Pees at DC over Mora anyday.

  • aig-raiders

Thanks Debo. Damn, Anyone knows how you can listen to that?

  • aig-raiders

    Well,

That didnt take long for our new HC to be involved in another media frenzy controversy……
