A kid in Cairo picked up a spent tear gas cannister and showed it to a TV news crew.

    Ouch!

Looks like Cable is making moves already.

Seahawks sign OG Paul McQuistan for future contract.

Only in the hood do you still have drive-bys though.

    ……….

That’s true. I think Loughner was on foot. I guess his victims can take some solace in that, that they weren’t killed in some ghetto drive by, instead by a guy on foot.

  • Just Fire Baby

Cable’s O-line in Seattle is going to smash on that division.

  • alex7

    JFB,

    it’s not 50/50. It’s about 80/20.

Here’s the point to those that didn’t get it.

The Raiders would be much better served using a mid or late round pick on a non QB position that shows a higher rate of success at those rounds, than to gamble on a QB that, even IF they are still in the NFL a few years later, has a 90% chance of being no better than JC.

Hu Jack is in total control. He is hiring and firing all of his own staff, and seems to have the keys to the ferrari, in a way most coaches never have. Not just on offense either. Davis must really trust hu jack like he never did cable kiffin bugel white or norv.

  • Just Fire Baby

McClain is just a mean angry dude it seems.

Good quality in a MLB, plus he loves the game.

We need just to keep him away from Tequilla (his sister).

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

The person doing the shooting in the McClain incident thanks you guys who are blaming the victims. Believe me, you’re helping his case. The more anger there is toward the perp, the more pressure there is for the DA’s office and the police to nab him. As long as you guys are blaming McClain for it all, the shooter gets more of a window to get his stuff together and get out of dodge. He thanks all of you.

  • Just Fire Baby

    Alex,

Since we don’t have a first round pick this year, what do we do?

Just stop looking at college QB’s altogether? I think you still have to look at a flyer in later rounds.

KK, guys arguing with Alex is about as wise as arguing with a giraffe. That guy makes unfounded statements for breakfast lunch and dinner. He just can’t figure out that talking isn’t learning, listening is. If you don’t know something ask and listen you go a lot further in life.

    ==================================================

Wrong. Hu jack and Davis are working in lock step, because Hu Jack is a younger version of Davis. This why Hu Jack said he leans on Davis and it would be foolish not too.

Its not davis vs. hu jack

Its Hu jack & Davis together in unity.

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

I’ll bet you a better GM would have gotten Seymour without giving up the number one.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

It feels good just to see Mr. Davis go on TV and express how he feels about me as a quarterback,” Campbell told the Post. “Just to have him in your corner, to have an owner in your corner, is just a great feeling. And to have guys embrace you and make you feel welcome … and just the season we had. You know, Oakland has been through some rough times. And for us to go out this year and to become a team that’s getting that respect again, a team that has young players with a bright future, it’s an exciting time. It’s an exciting time in my life, career-wise and off the field.”

JC on Davis and the raiders

Funny, raider haters & impostor fans scream that our team is dysfunctional, and lacks direction. Yet then when Davis and coaches and players are on the same page, they still complain.

Davis- Hu Jack- Saunders – Wiz – Campbell,.

Exactly, Davis and Hu jack have the exact same philosophy, this is perfect

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

JC spends any where from 14 to 18 hours a day at the facilty. he is a real leader and a play maker, and davis and hu jack have his back.

Ben Roethlisberger and Aaron Rodgers probably spend a total of 8 hours a day between the two of them at their team facility. But Campbell needs the work.

Like I said, with a better GM we wouldn’t be in this position.

  • r8rwill

a7 don’t get all defensive bra, it’s all good..but it is true you do take stats out of context all the time, and then you state it as facts,,usually using the stats that fit your argument and conveniently leaving out others..you know who it was that said “there are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics??? it is good that there are stats and stat keepers but that doesn’t mean they will fulfill every situation..

  • bigblackdeath29

the position of trading for a probowl dt.maybe the pat`s gm should`nt of traded him?since they have drafted 7 de and dt in 2 drafts to replace him.and will use a first round pick again this year.i think the raiders got the better of that trade.

  • priesttj

Man getting Seymour here was HUGE it was the best thing for TK and some others his rings speak volumns I have watched him during games literally lift this defense to another level. He is very vocal in the huddle and his leadership has had a dynamic affect on this entire team. Guys like him cannot be measured by simply looking at his talent alone. If you do that you totally miss the point. I wish Nnamdi was half the leader Seymour is we would have a dominant defense. Hopefully Huff is stepping into that void in the secondary.

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

Oh, so it turned out ok because the team we dealt with is hurting, too. Now that’s the winning mentality Al Davis is known for, BlackDeath.

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

I never said we shouldn’t have made a move for Seymour. I just said a better GM, specifically, a more lucid GM, probably could have got him here without giving up a number one pick.

  • RaiderRetribution

Raiders offensive coaching staff is nearly set, only a O-Line coach to go!

Defense I am really intrigued by who AL & Hue select, hopefully Winston Moss.

More impostantly though is that the Raiders resign:

Mr. Seymour and the cornerback coaches and QBs fear the most, Mr. Nnamdi Asomugha!; (and Mr. Wimbley too).

Add Woodley and Mankins to the team and one veteran WR, and bring back Mr. Bush for it is going to happen. What is it?… Raider Nation Domination!

  • bigblackdeath29

no it turned out o.k. because the guy is still a pro bowler, dominant period.and if i could trade the second pick in the draft for a pro bowl player at offensive guard i will.

  • RaiderRetribution

Trading for Richard was an excellent trade, the other parts around him have not worked until this season, primarily QB & LT/WR as well, but also our LBs has been weak every other week.

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

It’s just a matter of negotiation skills, BlackDeath. Al means well and he’s very lucid for his age. But a more lucid, perhaps younger, and perhaps more versed in the modern day league GM probably could have landed Seymour without giving up a number one. That’s all.

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

I think Belichick takes advantage of Davis. Shines Al on with the “he’s my friend” stuff, and that disarms Al. That’s how I think Belichick got our number one draft pick this year, for a player that he probably would have given up for some cash and late round picks.

    ———————————————–
i i`m sure a gm offered a second or third round pick and the raiders offered more, but the same gm`s in retrospect would now give up the first round.

  • TerrapinRaider

Seymour was a huge acquisition. And he wants to be here which is even better.

Huff will be back. I read he wanted to return a Raider. Al wil sign him. Huff is turning into a solid FS after spending too many years as a SS.

The communication in the 2ndary has to be cleaned up though. I think a lot of that is when they are in some sort of zone coverage. They’re just no good at it really.

Again, the most important thing that will be done this offense will be who they bring in on defense. That is a critical move.

  • http://www.aldavissucks.blogspot.com The Real MaddenRaider

I just hate to see a lot of these coaches shine Al on and take advantage of him. It’s kind of mean. Belichick wrote the book on it. Says all of this “Al Davis is my friend” stuff to disarm Al. Al just eats it right up, so happy to have a successful modern day coach praise him. It’s like complimenting the old lady next door excessively, then asking her for a hundred bucks. She’ll probably give it to you. It’s just not right.

  • TerrapinRaider

Maybe getting a successful vet WR in here can help these young WRs just as much as Seymour helped that defense. It could do wonders for DHB although he works hard enough to make it on his own. It may just fast forward his development.

  • RaiderRetribution

Mankins, (via Yahoo report) does not expect to be back in NE, unless he is franchise tagged.

  • bigblackdeath29

point black ,belichick blow the seymour trade.can`t take it back.seymour had a lot more left than belichick thought.

  • RaiderRetribution

Terraps I agree Raiders get burned when they go zone, as they probably only practice and play it 20% of the time.

Should they go zone, they should bring in a whole another set of DBs that practice it for that series.

  • bigblackdeath29
