Good morning all. I think one of the most valuable things that Seymour brings is what he is teaching the younger players about being a professional and about how to take care of there bodies. Also, insights into what the other team is doing. He is priceless to this unit. I love Asomaugh but, I would rather have Seymour. He will only help this young talent learn to win. NO offense to Namdi but, he has never won. So, hre really doesn't know how.

Absolutely.

Nice post, Bob.
Best of luck to Tim Brown.

One last note on Seymour. Hue said he wants to build a bully. Richard Seymour is a bully. He plays with a nasty disposition.

He plays like an old school Raider. He can get down and dirty. That's the ultimate compliment.

Unfortunately for Tim, he kind of got type-casted as a stat compiler more so than a dominant player.

Having his best statistical year in the disaster that was 1997 (Joe Bugel) didn't do him any favors to change that opinion.

I think he is a HOF, but I don't think he will get in for a few more years, and probably rightfully so.

Once your in your in anyways, nobody really cares how long it took to get in.

Also, about Tim Brown and the Hall of Fame.

During his best years, Cris Carter played next to Randy Moss and Jake Reed with a pretty good RB in Robert Smith.

Andre Reed's offense in Buffalo was among the best ever with Hall of Famers Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas.

The fact that Tim Brown endedp with better numbers than both of them while playing most of his career around less talented teammates should be enough to earn him a spot before them.

But if that wasn't enough, Tim Brown had over 4,500 return yards, 4 TD's and a Pro Bowl berth as a return specialist...Carter and Reed combined for 256 yards and no return TD's.

In fact, only 4 players in NFL history have more total yards than Tim Brown's 19,679.

Good luck Tim, you deserve it.
