Cartwright unsure if he’ll attend dinner

The possibility of a lockout has Raiders running back Rock Cartwright wondering if he’l be able to attend a dinner in his honor Saturday night in Oakland.
Cartwright won the Raiders’ Commitment to Excellence award as voted by his teammates and was looking forward to receiving the honor in front of some teammates.
On his Twitter account, Cartwright wondered if attending would even be possible.
“Waiting to see if were lockout or not.. This is crazy.. If lockout happens, I may not be able to attend CTE dinner tomm. Get something done!”
The annual banquet at the Oakland-Airport Hilton is hosted by the steering committee for booster clubs of the Raiders and features current players, former players, Raiders executives, silent and live auctions, music and dancing. Proceeds go to a charity of Cartwright’s choice.

The only award the Raiders have to offer better than the Commitment to Excellence award is a trade.

Rockstar,
It was a must win for the Heat and they barely scratched out the win at home?
Not too impressed. The Lakers never pull out their tricks against a team the may potentially meet in the finals…..but the Heat don’t stand a chance against Boston….but you never know….injuries etc and the Heat might stumble into the finals, so better to be cautious and not show your hand in March.

Herrera prefers to sit next to Al at these functions and pretend to be a mafia member.

Longer they continue to argue the worse the affects will be. People are facing very hard times all over the world and these rich guys can’t decide how to split up billions. THis is sports when you are trying to decide how to spend limited funds or less disposable income and you see this, it will change how you feel about it no matter how much you enjoyed it before hand. Times are just tooo difficult right now. Gas prices are rising which affects all sorts of the things and refineries in the middle and far east being destroyed. This sport is going to get pushed into the backwash of lists of priorities.

We German-Americans deserve reparations for what this country did to Germany in WWI and WWII.

KoolKell,
Real-world realtor questions here.
Looking for the upgrade the wife and I, but since we don’t qualify for FHA and have to go conventional, curious on a few type of loans.
Piggy-back and the 80/20 or 80/15/5?? Are they still around?? With PMI set to go up about 40% here in April, we are frantically looking to come up with ways to avoid PMI.
March 11th, 2011 at 2:13 pm
It’s all about the financing right now. To avoid PMI you have to put up at least 15% normally.
Don’t qualify for FHA???????????
March 11th, 2011 at 2:16 pm
We both have outstanding FHA loans already.
Debt/income is no-issue for the conventional, and could probably muster the 20%, but would rather not if we could.
So no piggy-backs or 80/20’s??
