Yes, Okung and Trent Williams were both better… Veldheer gave up 10 sacks last year… 1 more than Mario Henderson… Let’s not overrate the guy. He did O.K.

How about a rookie MLB better than McPain?

Considering McClain was pretty much the only MLB as a rookie… this is a default… You can make the argument for Spikes at ILB for the Pats tho.

Losing Barrett Robbins was just one piece of bad luck out of many that the Raiders faced in that SB.

One week layoff as opposed to the standard two was another; for a roster of aging greybeards facing off against the dude who wrote their playbook, I thought that was crucial. I remember having a bad feeling when I heard about that and a worse feeling when I heard about Barrett.

Barrett was a very good football player who cracked under pressure at the most important moment of his career, and has been in a downhill spiral ever since.

Don’t want to say that he doesn’t bear responsibility for his actions, but I think his story is a big argument in favor of the improvements the players want in post career health care. It’s needed for all kinds of reasons.

I’ve always been of the belief that starting a pro bowl center over a bench warmer is a huge difference. I think Barrett would have given Gannon maybe half a second more int he pocket. would it have mattered..yes..it would have been a closer game ..but Chucky just had our number.

The loss of Barrett Robins was critical & I think the primary reason we lost to the Bucs. Adam Tru was terrible and was worse than a turnstyle. Granted our coaching staff could have planned better but I personally believe that our plays would have worked nonetheless if our O-line QB (Robbins) had been in there. Not only was his position degraded by his absence but the overall O-line play was not working as one like it should have been. That’s ALL on Barrett Robbins absence and Adam Tru playing ability.
