# Just Fire Baby Says:
April 16th, 2011 at 10:28 am

My manager lives in Denver and has followed Jimmy Smith for awhile (he also went to CU).

Told me that he is from a terrible area of town and a horrible family environment.

People have been bending over backwards, mentoring him, watching over him since he was 15 years old, yet he seems to screw up almost every year and get in trouble.

Not sure what he will do now that he has some money, and can distance himself from those that have tried to help him.
===========================================
My gut instinct tells me, although they want him, they'll pass and either overdraft Chris Culliver at 2, hope Ras I. Dowling doesnt go to Jacksonville right before they pick, or just yawn and take Ben Ijalana, then take a bunch of fast lb's who tested well, like Jeremy Beal

Boy the 4th rnd over the years has been damn near spectacular. It was at it's best last year with JFord. And who could complain about Bush. I also think Louis Murphy will acquit himself next year for the soph jinx. I'm getting a little itchy about the draft now I want to see what we do.

Jerry FAIL… Michael Bush had a career best 177 yards on 27 carries and 2 TD’s against the 2008 season finale against the Bucs.

Jerry doesn't believe in proofreading. Jerry, didn't you go to college?

Also why are you guys drafting safeties?? we have a glut of safeties. Corner makes a lot more sense. It seems no one is focused on WR's or TE's which IMO we need.

      Here's my Oline for next year:

     LT= Veldheer
     LG= Mario Henderson
     C = Satele depth rookie
     RG =Bruce Campbell
     RT= Walker 20lbs. lighter more powerful.

        It's young atheletic and talented and powerful Veldheers has to add 20 lbs. upperbody strength.

YA you're slotting some very average players in rnds where you can get much better value. Mason Foster IMO is rated too high he'll be there in the 5th. Jerrel Powe is a late rnd pick I'd slot Kendrick Ellis in that position. Same with Ian Williams who's a 6th maybe even UDFA. Greg Salas you can get in the7th I'd take the kid from OSU Zansenberger or whatever his name is. However I do like Portis in the 7th or Ederline from Idaho.

      Just a couple of thoughts I had no big deal.

Baldwin doesn't look too slow, he builds up speed. And why would Mason Foster be there in the 5th? He is a 2nd-3rd round projection and is one of the top 4-3 olbs in the draft.
