Bauce one thing you have got to understand man is that there are no perfect corners. I don't care how many you go through you will always have issues with them for one reason or another.

I have been a Raider fan for 45+ years the only corner that I can think of that I had zero probelms with was Mike Haynes. Even CWood used to piss me off because he just wouldn't play sound defense and would give up easy TD's because he got bored. No one threw at him so he would get lazy and get beat. Nnamdi doesn't do that even Willie Brown who was an unbelieveable talent wasn't perfect.

I have zero issue with Nnamdi doing what he does he's the best inthe business. And we have him not someone else.

You know Bauce I'm a firm believer in someone not missing their water until the well runs dry. I would much prefer Nnamdi on our side tghan someone else's..............period

JFB

the ravens are one of the best defenses in the league. i can't remember who their CBs are can anyone else? bet everyone remembers suggs, and lewis. i agree that a DB needs to be a sure tackler, but every DB misses a big tackle every now and then because of the open space on the edge. yes even Nnamdi and Revis. teams don't run on the edge of the ravens more because the LBs and DEs don't let it happen. that's where we need to go with our defense. the CB position much like the WR position has one high paid high calibur guy and decent players of that position to compliment. routte is that guy now. just like we have to focus on our o-line to protect our weapons, we must focus on LB,D-line to protect our defense.
huff is gone, Nnamdi is gone (unless he takes a pay cut) let's accept that. if we want a sure tackler at the FS position how about mike mitchell and use eugene in the cover1 single high for speed?

Hiram Eugene best option? He isnt better than any safety on our roster. He is a spec teams player and that's it. The other 3 guys are much better

I really don’t think MM34 or Branch will be our starting FS (unless we change defensive philosophy, which is highly unlikely) and I would lean more towards Hiram starting back there week 1 if Huff isn’t resigned

eugene is a serviceable option and the best option if huff is gone. (which he is). there is a swarm of free agent FS out there who won’t need the paycheck like huff. we don’t need our DBs to be super stars

Hiram "stiff armed" Eugene has a fan club?

JFB & irjonny, get real fellas!

Dont re-sign Aso. Time to move on. We have seen teams move on from real good players to have success the following year. Nothing against Nnamdi but his time is up.

I like CJ37 as more of a complete corner. He’s not afraid to stick his nose in there. He’ll come up and knock the piss out of people on those swing routes.
His problem is he was a late bloomer and now he can’t seem to stay healthy.

***

he has only missed 9 games in 4 friggin years!

yet YOU PEOPLE are so concerned about playing against Bob Sanders twice per season, who has only played in 9 games over the past 3 seasons!!

hello?

Nnamdi is not asking for $16 mill he just wants a solid contract. All this speculation that he's asking for that kind of money is wrong. Nnamdi is a very level headed kid. He and Mr Davis could work out a contract in minutes if there wasn't a lockout. It's a matter of Mr Davis wanting to keep him in the organization.

Whatever happens I have enough confidence in Mr Davis to get it done. Nnamdi cannot play forever at some point you must replace him if we do it now and do it right I'll be cool with it. As long as we don't try to do it with unproven talent. But Personally I cannot see Nnamdi not being a Raider in 2011. If FA were active maybe then more teams would be putting in a bid but due to the lockout I think a lot of FA's will stick and stay at least for short term deals.
