21. Cleveland: Taylor; 22. Indy: Castanzo; 23. Philadelphia: Watkins; 24. New Orleans: Jordan

Cleveland, which started out at No. 6 and traded back to No. 27, jumped up to No. 21 to select Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor.

Taylor is a classic 340-pound nose tackle going to a team which us switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3. Huh?

Guessing the call to Anthony Castanzo was placed by the Indianapolis official that actually made the pick _ quarterback Peyton Manning. He’d had enough of Tony Ugoh.

Castanzo, at No. 22, is the first left tackle selected. Usually a few left tackles are gone by this point. Tyron Smith, taken No. 9, was a right tackle at USC and is expected to play that position in Dallas.

Baylor guard Danny Watkins gets the call from Andy Reid. It’s a tossup as to which one weighs more. Watkins, like Cal’s Aaron Rodgers, went to Butte College.

Speaking of Cal, Cameron Jordan went a later-than-expected No. 24 to New Orleans, a team in need of a pass rush. A life of the party guy, Jordan is going to the ultimate party city.

Rather have a multi-time pro bowler and team leader than a project tackle. Seymour for sure. I think NE blew it. They traded the 28th pick anyways.

    *********
Really? You had the Saints trading up for Ingram?

  41. TerrapinRaider Says:

with the B’more fiasco …was the Davis screwing around? Strange.

  42. r8eray Says:

SNAP…..it looks like New Orleans! SNAP!!

  43. YoungAmerican Says:

Apparently they were trying to work out a trade with the Bears, and the Bears backed out last minute.

  44. JB Says:

We really don’t have anything/anybody to trade other than 2012 draft picks. I don’t see AD moving up. Just draft at least 3 OL. The good news is that this draft is heavy with O & D linemen. The Wiz, if he’s the right guy will be available in the third. Marcus Cannon may be available in the 4th or 5th. So who is our #2 pick?
