…… So yeah lets create more Albert Haynesworth’s at the expense of the “FANS” smart guy.

    ————–

Bro, it’s not Albert’s fault he got that contract. Blame stupid Snyder for paying him all that money. Albert never forced Snyder to pay him that money. Snyder was the idiot that gave him that contract along with his history of bad contracts with other players.

  5. neilb Says:

This is driving me nuts.My posting problem is back.Talking early on with the morning crew and then it wouldn’t let me post. Now a few hours later I’m back.WTF is going on?

  6. KoolKell Says:

I don’t understand why taxpayers are asked to finance an Owners Stadium, then have to pay to get into it.

  7. irjonny Says:

so what do we do with satele? guard? backup center?

  8. Silverandblack666 Says:

Its what the market will bear AIG not what Albert was worth. IMO

Lets just agree that greed is hurting the game on both sides!!!

  9. KoolKell Says:

Taxpayers aren’t asked to finance the building of a new Safeway are they?

  10. neilb Says:

Satele has a 2nd rd tender.Doubt anyone will give up that.Backup all day long.

  11. Silverandblack666 Says:

Have you ever noticed that most people who own NFL teams have an other source of income?

    That should tell you something.

  12. neilb Says:

Kell,I’ve just paid for a royal wedding and didn’t get an invite.

  13. KoolKell Says:

    What does it tell us?

  14. Silverandblack666 Says:

Eddie Debartolo ran the 49ers in the “RED” most of those winning seasons they had in the 80’s.

He was not trying to churn a profit from his NFL team.

  15. DKnight007 Says:

Well, as I have been discussing the last two days with friends and fellow Raider fans and Tittles show today on 860am. I think the Raiders had a slightly above average draft.

Love the pick of Wiz in Round 2. Good value and he is a solid technician. He can play Center or Guard and will eventually be the starter at Center. At 6′3, 313, he is considered a big powerful Center. Most Centers go between 295 and 305. Wiz will turn into a good one.

I though taking Van Dyke was taken a bit high in Round 3 but he is a man cover corner and there weren’t many in the draft.

Nice to see them trade up to get big Barksdale (love the name from The Wire) he can play RT or RG and we just have to hope he isn’t the second coming of Mario Henderson. I don’t think he will be…he is more physical than Mario.

NOW, to my MAIN problem with this Raider draft…old man Al passes on CASEY MATTHEWS and takes another CB in Chekwa? Ugh….dumb….dumb….and dumb IMO.

Matthews would help against the run and on special teams and he can get to the QB in blitz packages and could play ILB in a 3-4 and nickel alignments and would immediately compete for the WILL OLB spot in the base 4-3. How many CB’s does the old man need now since Nnamdi is gone? It’s better to load up on LB’s ahead of CB’s IMO.

However, I like the back end picks with the the blocking TE Gordon, WR Moore and WR Ausberry.

Gordon will provide depth and he can block and catch every now and then. He just needs to be coached up. Moore from Tenn is a playmaker and I think he will definitely make the team. Ausberry from USC is a strong and physical possession type of WR and I think he has upside as well. Just needs work on his route running. He will make the team or at the very least be put on practice squad.

Overall a B- draft grade for me this year for Raiders….it would have been a A- if they would have drafted CASEY MATTHEWS like they should have though!

That’s the type of thing that pisses me off with the old man Al and when he decides to value CB’s over DLinemen or LB’s!

  16. neilb Says:

    We’re taking it in the ar$e ?

I think Taiwan Jones is the steal of this years draft. I know he played in a weaker conference, but the dude has nice jukes, and stop and go acceleration. Made defenders look silly and has the potential to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.
    Nice pick Al.

    ———————

Has potential but….needs to work on his fumblitis!

  20. KoolKell Says:

Bin-laden was killed by the Illuminati, AIG.

  21. RaiderRockstar Says:

The Raiders intend to use seventh-rounder David Ausberry as a wide receiver, but he could be moved to tight end down the line.
“Obviously this guy has room for growth,” said coach Hue Jackson. “I mean, this guy could get up to 255, 260 pounds. And who knows, he might be an unbelievable tight end.” He sounds like a good candidate for the practice squad as a rookie.
    Source: Oakland Tribune

    ***

David Ausberry = ex-cowboy Randall Williams or John Madsen?

Nah. If he can’t beat out Nick Miller, he doesn’t even deserve a spot on the practice squad imo

  22. DMAC Says:

Here’s my list of undrafted players I think we should take a look at…
    (Not in this particular order)
    Kendric Burney, CB, North Carolina
    Jake Kirkpatrick, C, TCU
    Pat Devlin, QB, Delaware
    Kristofer O’Dowd, C, USC
    Zach Hurd, G, Connecticut
    Kenny Rowe, OLB, Oregon

Should we limit the compensation to CEOs in corporate America? How many CEOs have driven their company into the groung or claimed no responsibility for their companies nose-dive and walked away with billions/millions.

Love the Haynesworth contract as example. Do you remember about two years before the Haynesworth $100M contract that he was almost booted out of the league for stomping on the Dallas’ player with no helmet on? Wow, who could imagine that Hayensworth was a headcase?

  24. Bauce Rules Says:

Kell you are pitiful…..birth certificate is obviously a fraud and the osama thing is a farce too. But how does those two things help our situation here at home?

  25. RaiderRockstar Says:

Taiwan Jones actually was a NEED pick …

Darren McFadden has durability issues and Michael Bush is in the last year of his contract.

Does anybody want to see Jason Campbell handing off to Michael Bennett or Rock Cartwright when DMAC goes down & Bush needs a breather?

    NO!

  26. Silverandblack666 Says:

Most people who buy an NFL team have made millions if not billions before getting into NFL ownership.

    Jerry Jones

    Paul Allen

They run an NFL team because it is their passion not their primary business. Do they expect to turn a profit, I think any business man would.

Bottom line is the owners take on more risk and responsibility than the players do in the overall business aspect of running an NFL franchise.

He will make the team or at the very least be put on practice squad.

Overall a B- draft grade for me this year for Raiders….it would have been a A- if they would have drafted CASEY MATTHEWS like they should have though!

That’s the type of thing that pisses me off with the old man Al and when he decides to value CB’s over DLinemen or LB’s!!

  93. YoungAmerican Says:

Raiders need a vet who understands how to beat defenses

    —————————-

Since when has “what the Raiders need” and “what the Raiders do” been the same thing?

Moore will make the 53-man roster and the coaches will find a way to use him. If Al drafts a WR, he doesn’t do it so the coaches can practice squad him. He’d sooner put Stevie Brown back on the practice squad.

  147. RaiderDebo Says:

Now a word about draft grades.

I have nothing against my peers grading drafts. It’s harmless fun. Like mock drafts, grading drafts has become a spring tradition that fills space and, I suppose, generates good talk show fodder. There’s a difference in the two, though. When you do a mock draft, you’re predicting who each team is going to pick … presumably based on some knowledge you’ve gleaned though some people you know in different organizations. But when you grade a draft, at least when I graded drafts in the past, I always felt I wasn’t qualified in any way to do so, because I just didn’t know the players beyond the top ones well at all.

I looked back Sunday night to the 2006 draft, and the grades handed out in the days after the draft. I always considered two writers to be the best, and the toughest, at this: our own Paul Zimmerman and Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News. And after the 2006 draft, Dr. Z and Goose gave A grades to Arizona, praising the drafting of Matt Leinart, Deuce Lutui, Gabe Watson and Leonard Pope. It’s five years later. Leinart was a disaster, Pope barely passable for three seasons, Watson a part-time starter. The only player sure to be on the Cards now, five seasons later, is starting guard Lutui.

Gosselin spends three months learning these players and getting the scoop on 300 of them every winter and spring. He’s the best. I just don’t think it’s very easy, or very logical, to grade teams before players have had their first practice with their new teams.

Peter King annoys me sometimes, but he’s been on fire the last couple of months.

  193. aig-raiders Says:

Strangest B+ grade of draft I have ever read on yahuuuu. Not sure if this dude was complimenting or being sarcastic.

    Oakland Raiders
Picks: C Stefen Wisniewski(notes), CB Demarcus Van Dyke(notes) , OL Joseph Barksdale(notes), CB Chimdi Chekwa(notes), RB Taiwan Jones(notes), WR Denarius Moore(notes), TE Richard Gordon(notes), WR David Ausberry(notes) .
    Grade: B+
Analysis: The Raiders get credit for getting DL Richard Seymour(notes) two seasons ago with the first-round pick they gave up from this year. Seymour has turned out to be a fine acquisition, even if he’s getting long in the tooth. Starting there, this draft simply reeks of Raiderdom, starting with the selection of Wisniewski in the second round. The latest Wiz will not only play for his uncle, former Raider great Steve Wisniewski, but will probably start from Day 1 because starter Samson Satele(notes) just wasn’t that good the past two years. From there, the Raiders basically drafted a 4 x 100 relay team with Van Dyke, Chekwa, Jones and Moore. The Raiders are nothing if not consistent.

  194. Silverandblack666 Says:

If I was a right wing religious republican I would be more concerned about who is going to run against the president and have a chance to beat him rather than what grades did he get in college.

I dont argue with conspiracy theorist and you shouldn’t either. They are the people that think they are being cool by being non-conformist but are really just conforming to the other non-conformist. They get a majority of their info from unsubstantiated, unsubstantive, unreliable, and (often times) unstable third party sources. Unless you witness something first hand you have no way of being sure that you aren’t being conned when you hear the news from a third party source. I will bet you Huey and even Chuck B wanted Matthews more….but old man Al needed someone to agree with him on another DB like Chekwa and of course Woodson agreed and thats all the old man Al needed to take another freakin CB.

I am basing it solely on what I saw at his all-star game.

Mayock was saying it was his time to shine, he got dominated the first two days of practice, than showed up the 3rd day and said he was injured (but wouldn’t let the staff check him out), and Mayock implied that many NFL teams looked at it like it was orchestrated by his agent to prevent his draft from slipping further.

So instead of manning up and fighting through it he lied and tried to game the system.

He will be out of the league in a few years, book it.

Other than that pretty happy. Like both the corners, especially with how awful McFadden and Ware were last season.

Between Ware and McFadden, and both these rookies, I only think two will stick, and I think Walter McFadden will be gone.

If you think that Walter McFadden will be gone you are crazy…he has the best pure cover skills of any of the players that we drafted this year or last year. He had one bad game coming off of an injury, on the road, in his first pro action and all of a sudden the guy can’t play.

I remember the Titans game, the tackles just seemed to let them romp on Jcamp. JCamp got up looked at his linemen and took a knee.

The linemen didn’t even seem to regret it. Jcamp looked shocked by the lack of heart in his line and did’nt recover for about four games.

Wiz 2.0 should at least bring some of that heart, although I’m still left with a bad taste in my mouth about these LSU kids all talent no desire so hopefully Wiz can ruboff on this Barksdale kid.

  286. RaiderRetribution Says:

Barksdale vastly improved the O-line of LSU, hopefully he carries that over to the Raiders.

Wisniewski will be an all-pro, hopefully Vahldeer, Campbell, Barksdale, & Loper follow him.

Something tells me Gordon is going to be converted to a DE/rush OLB.

  287. Just Fire Baby Says:

Again I am basing my assessment of Barksdale what he did at his all-star game.

He failed miserably that week, according to all the stuff I read and watched that week.

Could have been just a bad week for him. I do know that when assessing Prince falling to #19, John Clayton said he heard teams thought he was almost too smart and a little soft because of it.

Well Barksdale is very intelligent, and I think the same soft label gets applied to him as well.

  288. Just Fire Baby Says:

An O-line of Veldheer-Loper-Wiz-Campbell-Barksdale may be a good O-line in 2013, but that will get Soup killed the first couple of months of next season.

  289. Harder2000 Says:

Seen a couple of LSU games watching Barksdale, and he seems plenty strong at POA! Seems to me that his biggest weakness is speedrushers, he is way too slow to seal the edge on some plays! He also seemed to have troubles when trying to reach 2 level where he was a bit slow and had a tendency to launch, too often failing to make the block! He does however look to be a great addition with the mold that fits Hue’s scheme imo!
After what I saw it seems that he would fit best inside at Guard where his strength and reach could really help him give a push in the runninggame, while not having to face speedrushers every other minute! B. Campbell or a FA might be better fit for that!
Also, Wiz Jr. is a great study of the game and has all the potential in the world – but whether you will it or not, watching the games show that he initially lacks some strength to get a good push on bigger linemen (takes good angles though)! This he can work on, and he will – my guess is that he will gain the strength needed after putting in some hard work in the not too distant future (already has been bulking up from his playing weight), but in the meantime, Big Barks strength could really help him anchor the inside, and they would complement eachother really well imo – although both could use a bit more of a Mean streak sometimes (guess Wiz Sr will see to that)!

Btw, watching the games really makes me hope we get Terrence Toliver as a priority FA, cause he can do it all – block, run, jump and catch, would be a great addition to our WR squad!
Any LSU guys in here that can supply a more thorough opinion on Big Barks?

  290. Harder2000 Says:

@JFB, they would definately make him run for it when making some expected rookie and unexperienced faults! Could really use some veteran leadership! Personally im still rooting for Yanda and Gaither from Balt, as they both seem to be leaving Balt and Hue + Saunders has ties to them.. They could really add power and strength, as well as Yanda could add leadership, to this young, eager but unexperienced line! Mankins could be a great addition, but trading for him seems difficult, although it could be Seymore deal part 2..

Did you guys see McSahay yesterday on BSPN? What a D-Bag. They were giving out there draft grades and announcing the winners and losers. You know the obligatory Raider bashing is coming. But McShay strained any credibility he ever had. IF ANY.

Mel questioned the Seahawks. Didn’t like the fact they didn’t take a young QB. That’s typical Mel. Thought they reached on the OT in the 1st. So did everybody. Hell, even his old coach Nick Saban seemed shocked when that kid went in the 1st Rd.

Then Todd announces his loser. Oakland of course. He said all their picks were reaches, including Wiz 2.0.

To be honest, I wasn’t crazy about the pick at the time. But Todd, lol…said he like Wiz, and thought he was going to be a good player. BUT, Oakland could’ve gotten him in THE FOURTH OR FIFTH ROUND.

Really, Todd? That’s nonsensical. Nobody believes that, so why would he say it? For Effect? To try and make the Riaders look Bad?

Wiz was a solid 2nd rd pick. IF he made it out of rd 2 he would’ve went early in the 3rd. McShay said the only value pick he liked was Taiwan Jones. But that Oakland took a similar player in Jacoby Ford last year. Except one is a RB the other a WR.WTF? I guess he thought he was only drafted for kick returns.

Overall, I thought McShay came off looking like a clown. But, that’s nothing new. I’d give him a D-.

Maybe downgrade it to an F for his fake John Boehner spray-on tan.lol.

    Raiderrockstar sucks Pitos

  295. bcz24 Says:

Mcshay’s talent was summed up as such by a PFT post quoting a working NFL scout… “Most people at my level feel McShay is a joke. People in the league respect Kiper. He is not a true scout but he does work at it. A lot of his info he gets from connections in the league, and over the years he has made quite a few. When he was younger he used to burn some bridges. He doesn’t do that any more. McShay does not have any good connections. Higher-ups in the league think he is an arrogant a$$hole. A know-it-all. And he really knows nothing. Whatever he says about a quarterback, take it to the bank, it will be the opposite. McShay is a pretty face who comes across like he knows what he is talking about. He does have good presence, but knows nothing.“

  296. Just Fire Baby Says:

Kiper is clearly the best in the business, and McShay is the pretty-boy face for TV.

Interesting note, by the time Wiz 2.0 starts the first preseason game, it will have been 18 months since he snapped a balll in a live game.

I hope he plays at least a half of each preseason game to catch up.

  297. Just Fire Baby Says:

Clayton had an interesting point that he has heard in NFL circles that African-born players are getting the “soft” rap like all European basketball players.

He said that some teams feel that football is not ingrained in their culture, and that they are so highly-intelligent that they just aren’t your typical NFL grinders, they have other interests and things they want to accomplish.

Said it was the main reason he felt Prince fell to #19

  298. Daven Says:

I just watched Taiwan Jones pro day on YouTube. Very impressive. I hope he pans out.

  299. inonewordraider Says:

Plaxico will take a year or two to get back to form if he’s ever able to get there (see Vick). Wouldn’t mind giving up Murphy for Johnson as they’re similar down the sideline type of receivers as opposed to guys who go over the middle. At this point I’d like Owens and think he could make us a playoff team

  300. RaiderRockstar Says:

Todd announces his loser. Oakland of course. He said all their picks were reaches, including Wiz 2.0.

    ***

I’m not concerned about what McShay thinks. The Raiders needed OL & DB’s

Asomugha & Huff are gone. Gallery is gone, too.

My best guess is that between Carlisle, Walker, Henderson & Barnes – at least 2 of those guys will be gone as well

Stevie Brown & Hiram Eugene aren’t starting calibur players. Just special teams aces. Branch got burned a little too much for my liking last season, but overall is still a good football player imo. Mitchell remains a question mark in coverage, but had a few solid outings last season when given the opportunity

McFadden & Ware are unproven at corner and the only guy behind them is Joe Porter (who ???)

The Oakland Raiders had a fine draft

  301. RaiderRockstar Says:

I suppose the Raiders could have drafted Ryan Mallett at #48 and either Jah Reid or Clint Boling at #81

    then Curtis Brown at #92

but I think it worked out ok

Wiz, DVD & Barks will do just fine!

  302. RaiderRockstar Says:

    NoLuv4Hoes : grow up

  303. Buckeyeraider Says:

    Daven #298,

Yeah, I really like the Taiwan Jones pick. Especially where they got him in the 4th and not @48.

Unfortunately it seems inevitable that DMac is going to miss 3 or 4 games a year with lingering hamstring/toe injuries. I hope not. I’d like to see what kind of damage he could do in a full 16 game season. But we can’t count on it.

So now when he’s out we have a nice change of pace to pair with Bush. Sounds like if you give this kid a sliver of daylight, he can take it to the house.

The draft guide I have says he’s an experienced kickoff and punt returner. I’d like to see him get a shot at returning punts. If he has the elusiveness and acceleration that he’s supposed to, he’d be a real big play threat to compliment Ford on kickoffs.

  304. RaiderRockstar Says:

I’m not upset about the Raiders not drafting a young QB, either. I feel it would have been the way to go if Dalton or Kape was available, though

As it stands, Matt Moore, David Garrard, Vince Young, Alex Smith, Carson Palmer & Tarvaris Jackson would ALL be better #2 QB’s than Kyle Boller imo

grab one and let’s play ball

I wonder how much the Cincy owner hates Palmer & Ocho?

Would he trade them here for Boller, Schilens and next year’s 3rd rounder? At least then he’s not releasing them and paying heavily for it or forcing his “franchise QB” to retire

  305. Daven Says:

    Buckeyeraider,

Taiwan Jones draft profile stated his durability is questionable. kockoff and punt return duty would be high risk. What’s your take on this?

  306. Gust372 Says:

Daven, I don’t know if I want to see Taiwan Jones’ “kockoff” abilities.

  307. Gust372 Says:

Rumor has it Javon Walker was good at kockoffs.

  308. bcz24 Says:

I think the #1 reason that Palmer wants out of Cincy is Ocho… They wont be reuniting anywhere soon I dont think.

  309. Buckeyeraider Says:

    RRS,

You’re not the first..somebody else was hoping to reunite Palmer and Ocho in Oakland the other day. Can’t remember who it was.

I don’t see it happening. In fact, I think Chad and Owens were a big part of Palmer’s disgust and declining play in Cincy. One reason why he was contemplating retirement. He’s sick of Mike Brown and the incompetent franchise in Cincy for sure.

But he was also fed up with OchoCinco and his disatractions, his self promotions and nonsense. Especially Chad freelancing his routes.

Palmer had a bad year and threw 20 int’s, but his production was actually better with young recievers like Jerome Simpson and Jordan Shipley in there.

I think he was disgusted with the OchoCinco and T.O. freakshow, and wants nothing to do with reuniting with them in Oakland or anywhere else.

  310. bcz24 Says:

Palmer would start over Campbell for sure. Facts are facts and a healthy Carson Palmer is a better quarterback the Campbell. That said, I dont think we bring in any of these vet qbs, but it would be kinda funny if we brought in McNabb to take Jasons job again.

    Jason Cole draft grades

  318. r8eray Says:

    National Football Post:

    Oakland Raiders

A typical draft in Oakland where they brought in a lot of highly gifted athletes who can run. I don’t like the DeMarcus Van Dyke pick in round three and actually like Chimdi Chekwa — the corner they took in round four — more. RB Taiwan Jones adds some big- play ability to the backfield and WR Denarius Moore gives them another vertical threat on the outside. However, the addition of Stefen Wisniewski will give them an instant upgrade inside at center and he should be a starting pivot there for the next 8-plus years.

    Grade: C+

  319. Just Fire Baby Says:

If you think that Walter McFadden will be gone you are crazy…he has the best pure cover skills of any of the players that we drafted this year or last year. He had one bad game coming off of an injury, on the road, in his first pro action and all of a sudden the guy can’t play.

    **********************************

    Severe,

There is nothing on the football field that Walter McFadden can do, that Jeremy Ware can’t. And Ware plays, and plays well on ST’s.

Plus, Ware played almost all season, even experienced a smidge of success with his INT against KC, and never got hurt.

On the flip side, McFadden played all of 4 games, managed to play the worst 20 minutes of corner I ever seen in my life (at home against Chad Henne no less) and got hurt for months in a non-contact play.

  322. DMAC Says:

According to NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora, the 49ers explored trading up for Colin Kaepernick late in the first round before ultimately settling on dealing up for him at No. 36 overall.
Citing multiple league sources, La Canfora says the 49ers were “persistent” in trying to acquire Kaepernick. Both San Francisco and Oakland had discussions with New England for the No. 33 pick, before the Pats called it off and settled on Ras-I Dowling. Ultimately, the 49ers wound up using the equivalent — per the NFL Draft Value Chart — of a first-rounder on Kaepernick anyhow (1,103.5 points, equal to a top-15 overall selection).

The Prez is making a huge mistake by sitting on these photos. Hell, he has already waited long enough to let the same nutcases who think the towers were professionally demolished by Dick Cheney now have ammunition to claim the photos were faked.

Hell, for years some idiots thought Hit1ers was alive and living in Miami.

    People amaze me.

Come on Prez, you handled this situation perfectly up until now….don’t blow it.

  324. bcz24 Says:

McFadden was much better in coverage than Ware before tearing the hammy. Lets see what happens when we dont have a paddy cake hold your hand walkthrough week of training camp with these guys. Maybe their hammys will hold up and we can see their real potential

  325. Buckeyeraider Says:

    Vegas,
Congrats on the Danarius Moore call. You were all over that two or three weeks ago.

I think that was a good pick. You read his description in the draft guide and wonder if this guy isn’t a little underrated. You read about him and wonder why he has a 5th rd grade and rated the 23rd WR prospect. Was this class really that deep?

He sounds like a promising prospect. Has good hands, runs good routes and has big play ability. Sounds like he was hampered by his surrounding cast at Tennessee.

  326. DMAC Says:

Bills GM Buddy Nix strongly indicated on a radio show Monday that the team has no intentions if retaining free agent SS Donte Whitner.
    =============
I wouldn’t mind bringing in Whitner, but I think he’ll be too pricey.

  328. Buckeyeraider Says:

    Bcz,

I like the Chimdi Chekwa pick. I think they got good value with it too. He was projected as a 3rd rd pick.

I don’t think he’s as good as Antoine Winfield or Nate Clements were coming out of OSU. He doesn’t have the hands or ball skills to grab a bunch of INT’s.

But the Raiders got a good player, who is going to play hard. provide some nice, physical coverage and not be afraid to come up and stick his nose in on run support. He’ll probably be solid on special teams too.

I don’t know if Chekwa will ever be a star or considered elite. But, he’ll be a solid pro, and was a good pick, IMO.

  329. priesttj Says:

Unlike last year where we had several players play and some start I don’t think any will this year I think this draft was for depth purposes. I thin the Starting C will still be Satele and the the rest of the line will be players already on the team (I know they are FA’s right) but they played for us last year.

I think Wiz and DVD will see playing time as well as Mooore and especially TJ but it could be a year before Barksdale, Chekwa Ausberry and the rest see anything representative of starting time.

But this draft does help put talent for development on the team that could help us down the road and in pinch this year. But IMO all these players are developmental types. Bothe Olineman are in serious need of prolevel weight training. DVD and TJ need to get stronger and the others just need time to adjust to this level of play. You may see quite a few UDFA’s as well a QB, Dline and more Oline help from there.

I csn see DMoore and TJ playing quite a bit but everyone else I think will get spot duty unless like Ford did last year they just bust out and get the coaching staffs attention. That could be DVD and Ausberry IMO.

  330. KoolKell Says:

No need to release photos of Bin-Ladens face blown off, to prove anything to the Birther wackos.

  331. Mistic1 Tha Supavillain Says:

I love this. We have put together another nice draft, we have a new coaching regime. Our team has young players coming into their own, and we are establishing a new identity. I am truly eager to find out what the future holds, as we are reloaded, and poised to pounce on the rest of the nfl, with an explosive, powerful offense, & a fast dynamic defense! yet the haters are everywhere, including right here on this board.

You want to run out a qb that had a decent year, and finished on the upswing. You want to cast off the qb that went 7-5, and has the respect of the entire organization, from Al Davis, to Hu jack, to the locker room. Instead of keeping a talented young qb entering the prime of his life and career, you want oakland to become the Cincinnati bungles remixed?!?!?!?!? Carson palmer & & Ocho,?!?!?! Two faded and wildly overrated players that are key cogs in a toxic environment, full of finger pointing and dysfunction?!?!?

You have got to be kidding!!!

By the way can we stop with the excuses for Palmer. Palmer has a career record of 41-47! Palmer has been sacked 160 times, and is struggling with turnovers and injuries. There is no way you bring in a washed up palmer, that is also proving to be a locker room cancer.

  332. priesttj Says:

DMoore is underrated because he had a freshman QB who struggled most of the year. If he had a better QB he may have put up some serious #’s he has all the ability of someof the kids that went much higher and he has good size speed and catches everything he’s a good looking kid.

But TJ is just way underrated IMO this kid has star type talent he’s a little ove 6ft and capable of carrying 205-10 lbs. And that is prototype HB size he’s bigger and more ophysical than people think. This kid has as much talent as you can ask for he’s got moves galore and runs with balance and vision and extremely explosive. If he can stay healthy this kid will challenge for playing time, HE IS LEGIT……………period

  333. Just Fire Baby Says:

Predicted two of our picks in my first mock (Wiz and Moore) before I jumped on the trade up for Kappy bandwagon ahead of Wiz.

Not sure why people are sleeping on Moore. Got size and speed, and always thought he made plays even though he was there only real big play threat (didn’t see many Vols drafted this year).

  336. YoungAmerican Says:

Even if Jones is good for 5-10 touches a game, and if McFadden or Bush goes down he’d be capable of sharing the load, it would be a good pick. Having a potential home-run hitter, even as a part-time player, can only help your team. Maybe he’ll never be Chris Johnson, but he doesn’t have to be to help the Raiders.

Jones and Moore will be worked into their respective rotations and will hopefully develop into solid role players as rookies.

    Wiz and Barksdale will start.

Not sure what to expect from Chekwa, DVD, Gordon, and Ausberry. I wish we knew that training camp was coming soon so we could find out…

The Raiders will use No. 92 overall pick Joseph Barksdale on the right side of their line, either at guard or right tackle.
Barksdale is a top-notch athlete with requisite tackle length. The knock on him has always been his lack of physicality, as Barksdale was considered to have all the tools at LSU but never played up to his ability. The Raiders’ biggest sore spot is right tackle, so that position gives him his best shot to start.

Let me throw this out there for good measure as well. i heard Cam Newton on Mike and Mike in the morning. I couldnt have been more impressed by this young qb.

Cam is clearly bothered by the notion that he wont be able to learn terminology, and clearly has a chip on his shoulder where this ic concerned. Cam said that he already has the play book and is studying it. Cam demonstrated a dogged determination and work ethic, claiming that ha isnt waiting for the lock out to be resolved, he is preparing now. Cam continues to work with coaches on fundamentals and throwing drills, as he has since the college season ended. Newton said he studies is playbook at night!!! He isnt out there partying, and spending his new money! he is working hard to be the best he can be, & beat the hell out of all of the nay sayers.

I have never seen this kind of talent matched with this sort of competitive will. He is far more driven than the qbs you try and compare him to. This kid is eating and living nothing but football. He will be a great player!

If the Raiders sign one free agent, I hope it’s Harvey Dahl or Marshall Yanda.

SilverandCRACK what is your problem? If this is the kind of thing your into that is your own business, but why subject the rest and drag down the quality of this board?

I think Cam was a great college qb. he was one of the greatest of all time in my opinion based on what he accomplished. back to back national titles, undefeated season, and heisman trophy. many here have trashed him for lots of different reasons. How ever most disturbing have been the questions about his intelligence and work ethic or dedication to football. Well this interview proves the opposite of what blog clowns have been saying about him.

Based on your comment, the only things that really should be questioned, are your own intelligence, and orientation.

    …………………………………………………

JFB its simple. I said JC has everyone respect. JC will have to earn his extension, however this does not mean he doesnt have the respect of the raiders top to bottom.

I didnt say he was going to be given anything. Clearly based on Davis and hu jacks statements over the last few months, they are in full support of JC and impressed by him on several levels. hu jack saying he wanted to bring in a young arm doesnt mean he wants to replace JC either. With only 2 qbs’ under contract you need depth at the position, & why not bring in a young arm that you can develop. That is just practical business sense, a low risk diligent move that could produce a player for the future or a quality back up. So what.

i dont know if you noticed but, the raiders DIDNT draft a qb! We have no idea who they were targeting to move up and take, and they had chances to draft some of the qbs. They even passed on guys you along with others were so high on like kappy.

As much as you cant stand the idea, it does indeed appear that the raiders are ready to roll, and have hitched their wagon to JC & his rocket arm!

I just get annoyed when people say Cam has a sense of entitlement and Gabbert got a free pass throughout the draft process. Cam won three national titles in three years in college and the Heisman trophy, along with countless other awards. He had a multi-million dollar contract in hand before the draft process even started, yet he worked out for the media and threw at the combine. Gabbert wasn’t even in the same universe as Cam in terms of on-field accomplishments, but declined to throw at the combine. I still don’t get that move. I’ve got to assume scouts secretly held that against him. How else can you explain Locker going ahead of him too?

Love how you Dems conveniently forget that Prez Clinton failed to capture UBL for about 3 years after the African embassy bombings…

    //////////////////////////////////////

Bush failed for 6 and then for some reason dismantled the team that was tasked with his capture in 2006

    ++++++++++++++

That CIA team was dismantled because they were getting a little crazy, but the CIA simply assigned new assets to the mission.

But yes, Bush failed to get the job done and eventually the focus went to going after mare active terrorist elements to prevent future attacks. Sounds like a great strategy, especially since it worked.

Again how is he doing this because simply got drafted….so did about 215 other guys in case you were wondering.

“Cam newton is one of the greatest players i have ever seen in college football history”

so was Doug Flutie, Danny Wuerffel, Tim Teblow

COME ON MAN just admit you have homosexual tendencies and you are in love with Kim Newton!
    ======================================

1.) Yes he is revolutionizing football. The offense he ran in college is one of the hottest schemes in football. Nfl & college coaches are studying various aspects of that sort of spread offense. In my opinion cam rabn it better & accomplished more in that offense than anyone I have ever seen.

2.) I said “Newton is one of the greatest I have ever seen” This is strictly my view and opinion. You may have fluite, wuerffel, and tebow in you all time great list, but they dont even get a sniff on mine. We clearly evaluate qbs’ through different criteria.

The Bush admin had intel that said a AQ was trying to strike in the united states using airplanes and did nothing with it. Also the economic collapse started under Bush, and has gotten better under BHO. I think that it should be much better right now, but it is far better than what it would have been under the failed trickle down economics of the W administration. That tard took a massive surplus and turned it into a huge deficit. Reagan, Clinton, and Bush set us up for this recession with their policy of deregulation. Bush compounded that problem with the biggest tax cut in history.

This should silence the Kim Newton lover:

This year, Gruden has exposed one of the stated concerns regarding the man widely expected to be the first pick in the draft: Cam Newton.

In a segment from Gruden’s second annual QB Camp playing currently in the perpetual SportsCenter loop, the former Raiders and Bucs coach tries to show Newton how different an NFL offense will be from the one he ran at Auburn.

“You know, some of this verbiage in the NFL, I don’t know how it was at Auburn, but it’s — it’s long. You’ve got the shifts, the plays, the protections, the snap count, the alert, the check-with-mes,” Gruden said, snapping his fingers after listing each element of an NFL play call.

Then Gruden rattled one off: “I mean, flip right, double-X, Jet, 36 counter, naked waggle, X-7, X-quarter.” As Gruden was firing off that play, Newton shook his head and smiled, as if he’d never head before anything like that, ever.

    Then Gruden pounced.

“Call something at Auburn that’s a little verbal,” Gruden said, obviously knowing the answer to the question. “What would be a little verbal? Any recollection on that?

    Newton: “Um.”

“Gimme something,” Gruden said. “What’s an Auburn play sound like?”

“I mean, you’re putting me on the — on the spot,” Newton said.

Spread offenses are all over football right now. This is another version, and many coaches have gone to auburn just to study it, regardless of the methods used to signal or call plays. Its ok little guy I understand you got your feelings hurt because of your man crush on Mr Newton, then your ignorance was exposed for all to see on top of it. Must be humiliating, I will leave you alone now so you can go tell everyone how Cam Newton will Revolutionize the NFL on a 2-14 team.

By the way colleges get accused of using pro style offenses not the other way around.

WOW the Packers sure are winning more games once the moved to the coveted Auburn spread offense. ROTFLMAO
    ============================================

twist and turn all you want but you cant worm your way out of this.

Bottom line, nfl coaches study under college coaches and college coaches study under pro coaches all of the time. It doesnt mean that NFL coaches will suddenly change their offense and trade playbooks with auburn. It only means that coaches want to be on the cutting edge and may use some concepts in their own offense.

Please go take your nap, and stop acting like a baby. You opened your mouth but didnt know what you were talking about.

VIDEO: Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) Denies Existence Of Billions In Special Oil Subsidies

Earlier this year, the GOP voted in lockstep to extend
billions in tax breaks to oil companies. The subsidies include special tax breaks only available to oil and gas companies. For instance, there is the “Intangible Drilling Costs” tax break ($7.8 billion over ten years); a deduction for “tertiary,” or enhanced oil recovery methods ($67 million over ten years); and the percentage depletion allowance for owners of oil wells ($10 billion over ten years).

Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT), a staunch ally of polluters and top recipient of oil industry campaign contributions, was asked last week at the Toole County Republican convention if he supports such tax breaks to big oil. An incredulous Bishop retorted that “there are no special subsidies or tax breaks for oil companies, period.” Rather, Bishop claimed that there is a media conspiracy to fool the public into believing in oil subsidies:

Politico reports that supporters of George W. Bush are “irked” that the former president isn’t getting more credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden, despite the droves of conservatives lawmakers and pundits who have been rushing to give Bush equal credit as O-bama.

But this praise for Bush relies on rewriting history to obscure the fact O-bama re-prioritized the hunt for Bin Laden after Bush had largely abandoned the effort to focus on Iraq.

While many conservatives are triumphantly replaying Bush’s September 2001 declaration that he would find Bin Laden, just months later, by Bush’s own account, he was unconcerned about the terrorist mastermind. Asked about the hunt for Bin Laden at a March, 2002 press conference, Bush said, “I truly am not that concerned about him. I am deeply concerned about Iraq.” “I really just don’t spend that much time on him, to be honest with you,” Bush added.

By 2006, the trail for Bin Laden had gone “stone cold” and Weekly Standard editor Fred Barnes said Bush told him that hunting Bin Laden was “not a top priority use of American resources.” (Indeed, there was a flailing war in Iraq to fight.

People on the right just refuse to give BHO any credit for anything….partly because he is a liberal, but mostly because he is black IMO. he has done some very good things, and there are things that i wish he would do better

In terms of Mendenhall, best case scenario he takes a lot of heat from the media and is asked uncomfortable questions about his political views. Worst case scenario is that he becomes the focal point of protests and loses sponsorships.

He has to look within himself and find it. He can either view having a QB drafted above him and having to sit as a sign that he has to self improve, or he can take the Jamarcus route of everyone is against me and play the victim. I think that he will play the victim, but thats just me. He doesnt come off as being particularly hungry and motivated to be better than where he was drafted. Its almoast as if he thinks everything should be handed to him and that he would take the NFL by storm just because of who he was.

I thought Cable had something to do with it as well but now no way.

You guys just don’t get it it’s always all up to AL if you have something to say he listens but he has the last word it’s always been that way. If you feel strongly about a player he’ll listen but WHERE he picks them is all up to him.

Where players get picked is strickly up to him he runs the draft in that way. If he wants a guy bad enough NOTHING you can say will make him wait to draft him. If He wanted Campbell in the 1st rnd HE would’ve darted him in the 1st rnd…………period

He took him where he wanted to take him.

last year we drafted two Olineman and Campbell was drafted second so it’s obvious he got him where he wanted him. Mike Mayock doesn’t know everything about the Raiders eventhough you’d never be able to convince him of that.

If you are going to take a vet WR what is the criterion?

    1. Play now.
    2. contribute on the field with performace.
    3. Contribute to the development of the young.
    4. No off the field distractions.
    5. Dedication to the game
    6. Unselfishess.
    7. Desire to get the NATION to the next level.
    8. etc.

How many of the WR’s that have been disscussed remotely fit into the above criterion???
    ——————————————————-
Well, PLAXICO could be a distraction with a previous prison record, but he must TRY to redeem himself to get back in the league and make$$$ for all the lost time.

OCHOCINCO has no such incentive to redeem himself. He was more concerned last year with his TV shows to produce on the field.

As for mentoring the younger WRs on this team, PLAXICO has been to and won a SuperBowl. His EXPERIENCE during the playoffs will help our younger WRs in big games and in the event that we make the postseason.

I have never been as impressed with Chad than with PLAX talent-wise. I believe that Plax has a size advantage over Ocho anyway. (6-5, 226 vs. 6-1, 192)

Al said he lets his coaches draft, and when he fires them he takes credit for the good picks and gives blame the fired coach for the bad picks.. if you havent noticed that trend you are blind..

ONE thing is evident, 1st round pick is pure AL, he trades it or makes the pick, each year… then he gives the coach 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5h if he he can see a reasoning behind it.. and then he uses 6th and 7th rounds as play toys…

why did our drafts before Kiffin suck? because it was all AL, he didnt believe in Art’s reasoning…

when Hue is fired, he will either claim its was Hue’s fault we drafted Wiz2 in the 2nd and not in the 4th or Al will say it was a steal planed by himself…

QB- Jason Campbell. Sub-par 2010 season, and that’s being kind. Had to be saved by backup QB in two wins, games in which he was horrible. Any coach would have removed him.

He wouldn’t be so much as a towel boy for any other team, let alone make any sort of personnel decisions. He’s locked himself in as general manager of the Raiders, because he’s the owner of the team. You want to talk about union job security ruining the business world? What do you do when a guy who has complete control of a franchise through a general partnership agreement, something that’s nearly impossible to change, hijacks the CEO desk? Until Al Davis retires and allows someone else to be in control of Raiders’ personnel decisions, and gives him control in writing, he deserves nothing but ridicule. And he’ll get it. On a platter. It is unclear if any players will sign contracts with the UFL as that would keep them out of the NFL for the entire season, if the NFL season ever starts.

    *****************

The UFL will not release players from their roster, unless an NFL Team pays out a 250,000 grand release fee.

A lot of NFL clubs were reluctant to do so last year for some players-I think maybe Dominic Rhodes was one of them?

Anyway, the Undrafted rookies are really going to have to think twice about signing a UFL contract, which the only way they can break it, is, if the NFL team who wants them, is willing to really pony up.

The player’s agent most likely will advise them to hold off in hope of the big check, while a $50K contract, at 3% minimum for an agent is peanuts….$1,500.00 or so for the agent, and what do they really care? Focus will be on the big $.

Then oral argument will be June 3, and the ruling will be sometime — probably no more than a month, but who knows? — after that.

He wants to be a bigger part of a team and loathes standing on the sideline watching someone else do it. He see’s the writing on the wall and did in fact tweet about it. “Its been fun New Orleans” . Who else not in a desperate position to fill seats is going to give Reggie that much money?

The reason Reggie has been successful and not a bust is because how Sean Payton helps scheme the offense for Reggie. Putting him in space bouncing him around creating mismatchees.

I would love to see him try to be an every down back with SD. He would get smashed. LMAO!!!!! Less carries will help him extend his career.

Plus New Orleans stood by him when he was going through his USC situation. Hopefully, he takes that into account.

  644. CJ Legend 34 Says:

I really doubt that would happen. He could stand to make more money entering the draft next year even after the 5 game suspension.

No, word here in Columbus, OH that there is any truth to that story.

out of a 53 man roster. let’s be generous and say that 30 of them make real nfl money. the other 23 are competing to be starters, sign with other teams as a free agent, and 6-15 players don’t make a squad because teams can’t work them out or let them compete for a spot. i’m not saying the players should win the appeal, but there is no reason for them to grant a stay to the nfl in these conditions this late in the game.

  647. guest123 Says:

    Back to the lockout:

The decision won’t be on June 3. It will probably be sometime within the next month after that. (Maybe a week or two, maybe four weeks, possibly longer.)

It will either uphold the preliminary injunction against the lockout — in which case the lockout will end unless and until it is determined to be legal (probably sometime in 2012).

Or it will overturn the preliminary injunction against the lockout — in which case the lockout will remain in effect unless and until it is determined to be illegal (probably sometime in 2012), or until the owners voluntarily decide to end it (perhaps by agreeing to a new CBA), whichever comes first.

No, doubt he’d go high in the supplemental with so many QB’s already taken and so many potential FA QB’s. I just think it’s interesting that college cheaters still have a get-out-of-jail card the supplemental draft offers. I know it wasn’t meant to be that, but for guys like Pryor, it is.

Sources: NFLPA is bracing for the NFL to be granted a full stay of the injunction to lift NFL lockout until the appeal is heard.

    Quote:
Have heard the rumblings all morning. What full stay would mean: The lockout is on until 8th circuit hears case on June 3, rules thereafter.

    Quote:
Full stay would, in essence, eliminate offseason programs for ‘11. Generally those wrap in mid-June, which is earliest we could get ruling.

    Quote:
@ECpackers We have to wait for official ruling 1st. 8th circuit could pull a shocker. Barring that: OTAs/minicamps gone; FA/trades delayed.

Plus, for what it’s worth, from Ochocinco:

    Quote:
#OCNN Unfortunately a union source expects that the stay will be granted today n that the lockout will now continue 4 at least several weeks

    Quote:
#OCNN Our awesome owners will take the short term pain of an extended lockout, for the long term they’ll gain a favorable CBA. #Beinghonest

    Quote:

I like Taiwan’s potential, but he’s still not a lock to produce equal to big Mike if/when DMAC gets banged up again. too bad Rock Cartwright is our special teams captain, because even though I love him on ST, I’d much rather keep Rankin as the 4th RB on the roster

  663. guest123 Says:

  664. r8eray Says:

Technically, Chad Ochocinco broke the news, citing a union source. What we don’t like about the report is that free agency and trades would be delayed for at least a month. What we do like is that it would give the sides a chance to head back to the mediation table to try to hammer out a new CBA. A stay would wipe out all offseason programs, keeping the doors locked until at least mid-June, if not July or August.

So assuming the 2010 rules apply and that above list of FAs is correct, it cuts down the Raiders’ options dramatically. Best bet might be to aggressively go after UDFAs for at least some kind of O-line depth, even if they just end up being practice squad options.

    UDFA targets:

    OT/OG Byron Bell
    OT/OG David Mims
    DT/NT Ian Williams
    DE/DT Brandon Bair
    DE/DT Cedric Thornton
    QB Pat Devlin
    QB Josh Portis
    S Mana Silva
    S Joe Lefeged

    OG Reggie Wells
    DE Dave Ball

Remember when Jamarcus Russell was “allowed” to play in the first weekend minicamp before getting cut? The Raiders essentially risked $6.5 million that Russell wouldn’t twist his knee and score some big money.

The rules of compensation under CBA protect both the player and the owner. In this case, the owner risked big and got away with it. In Brees case, he’s playing outside of contract parameters, but also subjecting his teammates to similar risk under less than agreed upon ideal NFL conditions.

Would love to see Santonio Holmes, Vincent Jackson, or even Braylon Edwards, but with the young guys already on the roster it’s just not going to happen. Plus Edwards is likely to be retained by the Jets, and Holmes and Jackson will likely require a trade that the Raiders don’t have ammunition for.

Whatever vet comes here (it’s unlikely that one will get signed anyway), he’ll have to be happy with very limited playing time (read: not Ochocinco). Ford, Murphy, and Moore will get the bulk of the work. DHB will get playing time because he’s DHB. Chaz will play if he’s healthy.

I say Santana Moss is the most logical option because he has extensive experience with Al Saunders and Jason Campbell. If he’s just going to see a few snaps here and there (if he even makes it out of whatever is left of training camp by then), his main role will be a teacher to the young guys on the roster.

    This is the big one

Will there be an NFL lockout in 2011?

    Yes -500

    No +350

Odds are favoring the fact that we may not have a season at all.

  728. YoungAmerican Says:

The US put Saddam in power, put the Shah in power, supported recently-ousted Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak until the very end, funded UBL and continues to fund Afghan warlords, continues to fund a Pakistani government with just as many ties to terrorism as the Taliban and Saddam ever had, displaced an entire population of people for the sake of making room for Israel, has assassinated countless Latin American leaders who wanted to nationalize their industries to help their own people instead. And that’s just in the last 50-60 years, off the top of my head….

  729. RaiderRockstar Says:

So we shot OBL in the melon and his wife in the leg and his brother is dead? Where is his wife? Where is his brother?

We collected all sorts of intel from his PC, DVD’s, Documents, thumb drives…..and that didn’t lead to NOT 1 arrest or raid ???????

    ***

    Brown,

OBL had a PC, DVD’s, & thumb drives?

even 54 year old Saudi Arabian dudes are more tech savvy than Al Davis!

  730. guest123 Says:

    Are these real odds?

I agree with Vegas. No season at all.

Those were live odds when I cut and pasted them. In other words you could have placed a bet right then and there with those odds.

  734. guest123 Says:

I am not a gambler for real. What do the +200 and -500 mean?

And isn’t already a lock that we have a lockout in 2011? Since we are currently in one?

  735. RaiderRockstar Says:

oddly enough, DeAngelo Hall made the Pro Bowl with Washington. this dude feeds off of dysfunction :P

  736. Silverandblack666 Says:

+200 means that if you bet $1 you would win $2

-500 means if you bet $1 you would win .20 cents

  737. RaiderRockstar Says:

does anybody really care what Rashard Mendenhall thinks of the OBL situation?

He’s not an owner, GM or Head Coach. He certainly doesn’t speak for the Steelers organization or the fans.

he just runs his mouth and people eat it up like he’s Chad OchoCinco.

    not that interesting folks, seriously

  740. RaiderRockstar Says:

here’s a look at seven free-agents-to-be who could stand to do well on the open market.

    #1 Nnamdi Asomugha, corner

By far the top prize of this free-agent class and the only one of these 200-odd players who could rightly make a claim to being the very best in the world at his position. He’s without a doubt in the top two or three, if you want to put Darrelle Revis first. Asomugha is creeping up on 30, but is still in line for a massive payday that will exceed $15 million per season. Houston and Dallas are not shy about spending money, and both could use a corner. The Jets were a rumored suitor, but in this scenario still have Antonio Cromartie as a restricted free agent. Given his age, Asomugha makes the most sense for teams that are already playoff ready or just on the cusp

    By Jason La Canfora

  741. YoungAmerican Says:

I wonder how much of the stuff bin Laden had was given to him by CIA.

  742. RaiderRockstar Says:

Pretty funny that most Raider fans on this blog thought Nnamdi Asomugha would gladly accept the contract we gave Stan Routt at $10 million per season when other teams around the league are gladly willing to fork over 15+

    Spurious timing that.

The DAY Panetta becomes Sec of Defense and General Patraeus takes over the trillion dollar CIA spy network.

Then they supposedly kill “U”sama and warn about retaliation just before the vote on May 27th on whether to make the Patriot Act law.

DVD- has to put on some serious weight and then we’ll see what we got
Barksdale- has all the physical tools plus got a late start at oline, good need pick
Chekwa- guy is a willing tackler NFL body and Raider speed, gna make a run at the #2 corner spot
Moore- undersized and lacks Raider speed but the guy catches everything, year one contributor
Gordon-solid blocker at TE, will push Myers
Ausberry- Reece 2.0, good insurance plan for Reece who’s become a game changer for us

    ***

    G123,

Nnamdi loves Oakland so much, he’d be willing to give up $5-7 million per year to stay?

Most people around the league notice that Al Davis overpays for average talent and pays good players more than GREAT players on other teams. You know #21’s agent is asking Coach Davis for $20 million per season if he’s paying Seymour $15 annually and big Rich isn’t even a Top 5 DE or DL. Nnam might be the best shutdown corner in the biz.

At the end of the day, it’s still a business. Asomugha has a family and realistically only 5 years max left in the NFL

  767. RaiderRockstar Says:

Steve Smith (CAR) is trash. I’ll pass

Jacoby Ford will be better than that turd …

He turns 32 years old next week, hasn’t been to a Pro Bowl the past 3 years, he’s injury prone, he punches some teammates and throws the rest under the bus.

    He’s under contract 2 more years at $7 million in 2011 & $7.75 million in 2012

  768. RaiderRockstar Says:
