More on Raiders passing camp

Either Raiders players decided to junk the whole secrecy thing or defensive tackle Richard Seymour got a better rate from Competitive Edge Sports by throwing a little publicity their way.

Seymour issued a press release through his management firm which detailed the dates and times of the “team passing camp” to be held in Duluth, Ga., next week.

According to the release, Seymour is “personally funding” the camp and his invitation to teammates opened with, “Men, I hope everyone is well and staying in shape because we are going to out-work everyone we face this season and it starts right now in the off-season.”

The camp will run May 24 through 27 and include on-field drills, weight lifting, swimming and nutritional counseling. There will two one-hour periods of media access on May 24 and 25, although it doesn’t appear the workouts themselves will be open to the media.

As quarterback Jason Campbell said last week in interviews with SiriusXM radio and PFT Live, he would run the offense and Seymour would run the defense.
