Raiders expected at facility Tuesday, in Napa on Wednesday

By Steve Corkran
Monday, July 25th, 2011 at 3:02 pm in 2011 Preseason, Oakland Raiders.

Just spoke by phone with Raiders senior executive John Herrera. He confirmed that he expects to see players “trickling in” Tuesday, as soon as 7 a.m. and that training camp will commence in Napa on Wednesday.

“We’re still on track for players to report on Wednesday, as scheduled,” Herrera said.

Coach Hue Jackson has not released the training camp schedule yet, so it’s uncertain whether the Raiders will conduct their practice Thursday or wait until Friday.

We will keep monitoring the situation and update things as news warrants.

RRS, don’t let Krappy the Troll King pull you into a political discussion! It’s classic old troll behavior.

I wonder how that steam & sauna treated the old fool. I’m sure he got his dirty diapers cleaned but turned the facility into a health hazard.

Wonder if the good folks at Kane & Associates know their dumpy old realtor hasn’t even tried to hustle up a listing in years?

When Al Davis called him “Jerr”, his credibility was compromised.

So what if the guy was a right winger. He is still a lunatic who should be burned at the stake. Torture the basturd for all I care.

But tell me one thing, rablerouser, would you feel any different towards him if he was a leftwinger? Would you have been sympathetic towards him because he was a leftist?

I know you’d like to put all rightwingers in the same boat, agry man, so good luck with that.

  19. YoungAmerican Says:

TE Zach Miller needs to be re-signed.

Re-sign C(/OG?) Samson Satele for depth.

FS Jarrad Page should be brought in to compete with Mike Mitchell, Tyvon Branch, and Stevie Brown for the starting FS position. UDFA S Joe Lefeged could also make sense.

Sign OG Harvey Dahl, OG Justin Blalock, OG/RT Marshall Yanda, RT Tyson Clabo, or OT Jammal Brown for a solid veteran presence on the offensive line. Also work on bringing back either OT Mario Henderson or OT Khalif Barnes if either is willing to come back for a discount.

Bring in OT/OG Byron Bell or OT/OG David Mims, DE/DT Brandon Bair, NT Ian Williams and QB Josh Portis as UDFAs.

I think everyone is, to be honest. I don’t see the Raiders bringing in any outside free agents who would be anything more than depth guys.

  23. lefty12 Says:

Not everyone. Some want to see our young group of players get the playing time and take over this team. Not everyone wants to fill the team with other teams cast-offs.

  24. omniscience Says:

I said before the lockout helps the Raiders most teams are now going to sign there own first when FA begins that means we get first crack at our guys if Miller was serious about wanting to be a Raider he will sign hopelly caught a break with Bush under contract sign Wimbley long term deal maybe we can get Aso long term if he goes we will be alright Al signed Seymore,Henderson,Routt,Wimbley and others before lockout smart moves just think if we had to sign these guys also now our D is solid remember # 2 in sacks last year if we can put preasure like that this year our DBs should be fine Brown or Mitchell can fill in Huffs spot if Aso is gone he did take away half the field they say but know takeaways? Maybe we get more picks from new CB
Sign our own and we will be good for Fa would go for Vet Gaurd and Wr maybe OLB

    one of ATL gaurds
    M.Lawson
    S.Moss

  25. raiderfankirk Says:

Love Bush, all kinds…beer, beaver, and Michael. But if you think about it when you need a big back we have Reece behind Huston or Huston behind Reece ( could you imagine ).

CANT BE SO SURE THESE YOUNGSTERS ON THE LINE WILL WORK OUT THIS YEAR

ALSO WE CAN BRING IN VETS FOR CAMP AND IF THEY ARE GETTING RAN OFF THE FEILD BY THESE YOUNGSTERS THEN THEY CAN GO AS WELL. BUT WE NEED COMPETITION IN CAMP AND WE NEED TO SEE WERE THESE YOUNGSTERS STAND TO AN NFL PLAYER AS WELL. MOST OF THE PLAYERS WE SHOULD GET COULD REALLY HELP US ESPECIALLY ON THE O LINE

  29. 89052RAIDER Says:

DHB will put up ALL-Pro numbers. Think if Al cut this excuse for WR then we could go out and sign some OL and DB’s that can help this team compete.

  30. 89052RAIDER Says:

It is also time for AL to cut his favorite pet, Sam Williams and let MS take over for the over-rated(valued) Trevor Scott)__see Houston film. I agree another safety needs to be acquired as well as OL. I am not sold on Mike Mitchell. He is out of position more often than not and whiffs attempting to make big hits–just saying..Roll the film.

  31. meeze Says:

GIVE MITCHELL A CHANCE HASNT HAD A WHOLE LOT OF SNAPS IN THE NFL IT IS HIS THIRD YEAR IF HE STINKS THIS YEAR THAN HE SHOULD GO BUT I THINK HE DOESNT AND HE HAS ALL THE TALENT IN THE WORLD. WATCH FOR IMPROVEMENT ON HIS PART
