ZM’s departure will hurt. Anyone who thinks different is in denial.

Here’s a solid question though. How does he keep the players motivated and staying positive about the season when we just keep taking hits.
I think losing a guy during the season would come as a larger blow than now.

The “replacements” still have time to establish themselves and earn their cred.

It’s on Hue to get them (The team) to play.

I’m betting they will play hard…and well

Floyd does not excite me all that much. his jersey would be cool to wear to a pink floyd concert tho, if they ever tour again.

  • Loosing Miller kinda stings right now. More from Being a die hard Raiders fan but hey its called Free Agency people choose where they want to play the ones that chose to stay with the Raiders wanted to be here. I like Miller but if you are a true Raider fan look at the Money he got and look at his stats. not exsactly T. Christiansen numbers We will be fine everyone on here says he could not block thats big. also I do question his durability.

  • RaiderDebo

Losing Zach is a shock. Seattle is putting quite a supporting cast together on O. Don’t think it’s going to matter which guy starts at QB. Lucky guys.

  • not much work Jhill,soo…

Ive been planting a HUGE crop and it b lookin real good!

  • raidertay

Hue and Saunders will definitely earn their money this year. Defense will need to show up in a major way.

  • Al saunders scheme calss for more a blocking TE
Its rather unfortunate but it is what it is.

    coumsi coumsa
    now lets move on!!!

malcolm Floyd would be a nice pick up!!

the worst i can say bout losing z miller is its going to piss off our fan base more than J Campbell

  • raiderjhawk

We haven’t even played a game yet and some of you cats are already throwing in the towel. I’ll stay optimistic.

    CODE BLACK 2011!!!!!!!!!

  • kidseven

I think the days of dumpoff are going the way of Cade McCable. The WRs and RBs were becoming a bigger part of the offense by the end of the year. Relying on Miller is a losing strategy.

  • raidertay

Doesnt Seattle have those swirling winds in that arena. Well I guess it cant be any worse then catching a Jamarcus pass.

  • Wow,did we lose Howard???

    if so that really sucks

  • Raiders are sure taking their sweet time getting FA’s in here!!

    Getting a little antcy here…..c’mon Al..front office!!

  • raiderinparadise

    Z. Miller was our leader in recieving for 3 years, we have no “possession wr’s” just one big play WR in Jacoby Ford who broke his hand. You think our passing game was bad last year? If Chaz can’t stay healthy, Murphy needs to learn to catch and DHB needs to be cut. We have nobody.

  • raiderjhawk

I don’t know, most of these guys we are losing have been with us for our losing era, might be a good thing. At least it will make the younger dudes step it up.

  • Seymour Bush

Looks like the Richard Gordon/Brandon Myers era at TE is about to begin. I actually like Myers. Gordon has size and speed. He is a good blocker from a very solid Miami program. Problem is he can’t catch. Thank God Adam Henry is our Tight Ends coach.

  • mikedlopes

Time for the next Miller to step up.. I’m expecting big things Nick!

  • BeAlwaysUrselfCommittingtoExcellence2011

    Yall sum btches

  • raiderjhawk

oh now we’re crying for losing Howard? For the love of Pete people get a hold of yourselves.

  • Overheard on intercom “Greg Papa, report to Herrera’s office”

  • J Hill

Zach Miller = 4 catches for 40 yds a game.

    4 catches

    40 yds

Dakota and JFB, in terms of the things you point out re: our salary cap going forward, should we really have paid Miller, or any pass catching TE, 7 million a year?

If so, I’m curious to hear you explain how that wouldn’t have been in the “crazy Al Davis signing” category.

    4 catches

    40 yds

  • J Hill

    You still in FL?

  • wHO iS “YA’LL”

get’em JHill, at least somebody else in here is making some sense.

Oakland Live…..who cares if Zach left?

Brien I read about Oakland Live about 3 days ago as a proposed idea that was in the beginning stages. Is there more info out on it now? Is it a definite go?

    Update me please fam…

  • jmcclain

Ya we lost two key players but we got something this yr we havent had in a long time and thats coaching. Coaching makes a huge difference. They can make players play better and team perform better. All of raider nation should be jacked for that alone. Thats why this yr is and will be a great yr.

  • Is anyone sure Al is still alive?

  • Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

Zach just didn’t fit in with CODE BLACK.

Did you order the CODE BLACK?

  • BeAlwaysUrselfCommittingtoExcellence2011

Cain….doom n gloomers who say we wont win

  • mILLER WILL BE MISSED BY FANS. not by the Raiders offense.

    Print that!!

The Raiders offense will be just as good if not better than a year ago..

    Print that too!!

  • Got you be always your correct

  • raiderjhawk

Ima getting out of here 1 way or another yall lol

  • Orthodoxdj

It happens. Moving on. Next man up.

  • raiderinparadise

4 catches for 40 yards a game is Millers stats? So your saying thats bad?

Well when your passing offense throws for 165 a game, that 40 yds is looked at a little differently in OAK.

He is worth 7mill a year if wimbley is worth $$$$67396491364031 million

  • BeAlwaysUrselfCommittingtoExcellence2011

    Armchair they approved it

  • Raider E

Seattle just made a 4 year $40 million dollar offer for Michael Bush…come on Al and sign this guy before this happens…R U asleep?

If this is true we will have the first pick (from Seattle) and the last pick (ours) in the 2012 NFL Draft. Andrew Luck anyone?

  • I compared the Boss to Miller stats just about the same and Boss was probally Eli’s 3rd option. Hope we get him heard Carlson from Seattle may be avaliable

  • I love Dvorak’s string quartets. You guys should listen to more classical music. Maybe you wouldn’t be so angry all the time.

    More info please brotha!

  • Raider E

Al didnt offer them schit! Awesome!

I think it may be feasible to sugggest that maybe Al did all his offering before the Lockout and once guys like Miller and Nnamdi held out for more, Al just lost their numbers 🙂 I like it 🙂

First off, what kind of fan hopes for a former stand out player of the team to get a concussion or any other injury?
So if you’re mad at a player leaving fine, just don’t go out saying you hope they get a serious LIFELONG injury, because i’ll bet those of you calling for it have never had a sports injury, and just might be some type of puss.
    Just sayin’

Once you leave the Raider Nation, you’re our enemy and we will try to destroy you.

I hope his monkey azzed eggshell like head splits open like a ripe watermelon.

  • jmcclain

Miller 17 mill guaranteed not worth it seattle can waist money on miller lije that glad the raiders didnt. Sorry peeps but davis is right on this dont waist money on just a few players. Get a good core of players are decent and have this coaching staff make them better.
