Thats the truth. Altough, when I was right out of H.S I sold auto parts for a few years. Anyways, we supplied parts to many of the city garages in the area, including Berdoo Sheriffs..They would come in off duty for parts for there own cars.. I got a lot of business cards.. helped me get out of a couple of scrapes back in the day..

  48. Kirk Says:

At the end of the first half on Monday night, Sebastian Janikowski lined up for what was called at the time, a 63 yard, record tying field goal. In the midst of a night full of random downpoors, Janikowski booted the ball just through the left up right, but with what looked like a couple of yards to spare.

This left many Raiders fans wishing that the Raiders had gotten just one less yard on their drive so that Janikowski’s field goal would have been from a record breaking distance as opposed to a record tying distance. Now, it appears as though the Raiders are doing more than just wishing.

The Raiders are planning to apeal the official distance of the field goal, claiming that it was spotted from 64 yards out, not just 63. If the NFL decides to change the official distance, it will mean that Sebastian Janikowski would be awarded the record for the longest field goal in NFL history, days after he had already made the field goal.

In an interview after the game, Janikowski said that the night before, he had a dream that he broke the record. While he was certainly happy to have tied it, it appears that his dream of breaking the record still may have come true.

  49. The Realist Dirty Raccoon Says:

    Two hours till Snoop.

  50. wasbanned Says:

Janikowski charged with beating a women. smh Better get the record before his suspension begins.

The more and louder Hue Jackson protest over the Hagan thing the more full of sh!t I think he is.

He might be the greatest coach in the world but he is as full of sh!t as a Christmas turkey.

  51. Whats a Drexl? Says:

“What is known comes from court documents in which Nicholson, 36, alleges Janikowski “did unlawfully violate (her) personal liberty” and “did willfully and unlawfully use force and violence upon (her) person” in Walnut Creek on Sept. 24, 2010 — one day before Janikowski and the Raiders flew to Arizona for a game against the Cardinals. No arrest was made at the time; Nicholson, a Berkeley woman, filed charges after the fact”.
    —————-

Now we know why he was sweating so much in AZ.

  52. GoooRaiders Says:

Raiders’ Janikowski charged with misdemeanor battery, false imprisonment:
Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who has lived a quiet off-field life the past seven years after a half-decade of routinely showing up on police blotters, has been charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment against a woman in an incident alleged to have occurred last year, according to Walnut Creek Superior Court documents.

Man just what we need right now :(
    I agree Wasbanned!
    Go Raiders!!!

  53. ghostraiders Says:

Kirk.. if the ball was placed on the Raiders 46 yard line… that’s a 64 yarder. .thus the record belongs to jano…. but I this k it was on the 46 1/2…. according to NFL rules… the shorter line to goal post is the one That takes it… meaning g it was a 63 yarder. . Believe me.. I ivestigated this at legnth… I think it was a 63

  54. The Realist Dirty Raccoon Says:

Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski has been charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment of a woman stemming from an incident that occurred last year in Walnut Creak, California.

  55. Method To My Madness Says:

  56. Method To My Madness Says:

  57. Silverandblack666 Says:

I have Comcast and you can get 13 minutes of highlights from Monday nights game in HD.

I was able to replay the FG several times and pause it and get a clean look at it, where the ball was spotted and where Lechler was when he held the ball.

Lechler’s foot was where it would have been 63 but his back knee was where it would have been 64 yards the question then was where did he place the ball before it was kicked.

It was half way but closer to his knee I would guess after 20 stop pause rewinds in HD that it was a 63-1/2 or 63-3/4 yards long kick.

  58. ghostraiders Says:

    Wtf is false imprisonment? ?

  59. ghostraiders Says:

    666..
That’s what I saw.. by NFL rule it would be a 63 yarder… if lechler had placed the ball extactly on the46 yard line… jano would have the record…

  60. Method To My Madness Says:

Come on Beecher…spew more bs lies about your she-he lover laughing at my posts. Holding someone somewhere they don’t want to be by some sort of means (i.e. a weapon, a threat, intimidating action or threat, etc.). For example, if person A stands in front of a door and won’t let person B leave person A’s room, that can be construed as false imprisonment.

Better hope she’s on good terms with you when you do otherwise she could land your fanny in the slammer. LOL

In this case it sounds like someone (the DA) is piling on the charges. Often, this charge is levied along with kidnapping.

It sounds like Method may have been close in his explanation. Some lady is now making up charges well after the fact. I believe the article said the cops were notified at the time but there was no arrest because it’s one of those he said / she said events. A police report was probably taken and then forwarded on the the DA to see if they wanted to prosecute or not based on the evidence. Just because he gets charged doesn’t mean he’s guilty of anything. That’s what trials are for. The DA is just shooting across SeaBass’s bow to see if he’ll flinch. It may be a prelude or effort to a negotiated lower level misdemeanor/infraction. Chances are if it is just he said/ she said, nothing will come of it and the case will be dropped.

  71. rob_raider Says:

it’s really a pretty simple picture w/ the raiders wr’s.

dhb hasn’t really done much. we all know that. but none of them have. they have a lot invested in him and they are gonna want to see if he can do something. there is nobody on the roster that has done anything in a meaningful game that would be knocking down the door.

ford made a lot of nice plays last year, but many of them were in the return game and on reverses. he really hasn’t done much to suggest he is a reliable receiver yet either.

chaz has looked great in what seems like the distant past. but in that time, he did look like a legit wr. injuries may well have ruined his career, but we’ll see soon.

denarius looked great in preseason. but he’s rookie. he’ll get chances but they’re not going to put at the front of the line yet.

hagan looked good. but you what he really looks like? a good #3 or #4. not larry fitzgerald.

murphy is hurt and his chances are diminishing. but he has looked the best in regular season games than any of them.

miller. gee, he played his way onto the team 3 years ago in preseason. looked great. how has he panned out?

for the millionth time, preseason don’t mean sh*t.

  72. rob_raider Says:

hue jackson on the wr decisions. “I get to make that decision. Nobody else. Me.”

u see. he was addressing the rather ridiculous assumption that al davis decides who starts.

it’s like this: when al davis hired hue, he likely discussed the personnel and who he would like to have opportunities. they probably agreed dhb would get a good long look.

did bruce campbell start? many of u were saying he needed to start, and most would think al davis wants that. supposedly that’s one of the things al was mad at cable for. but guess what? if cable wasn’t playing him, didn’t that mean cab;e was deciding? and since bruce didn’t start, and in fact didn’t even dress, doesn’t that mean hue calls the shots on who plays?

  73. ghostraiders Says:

Dude… Lets face it… after Mondays kick… that greedy chick wants a payday. .. that’s what this is about. ..

Dude… Lets face it… after Mondays kick… that greedy chick wants a payday. .. that’s what this is about. ..
    **********************

    Entirely possible/probable.

  75. ghostraiders Says:

I assure you if jano was living in the basement with mom n pops like McCallister from the ravens… we would never hear from this gold digger. …. put me on the j Aury… you know which way ill go… And ill go in there with my Raiders cap and my jano Jersey on…

  76. 504 Raider Says:

Jano probably asked her nicely to leave. She cursed him out. Then he goes to the door and turns the deadbolt to lock.

    “Now yous can’t leave.”

And proceeds to KICK her rump.

He got that from a gangsta classic.

probably hagan but chaz/moore/murphy all look like they could be reliable plus have more upside. it will sort itself out. if a few games go by and nobody is grasping the opportunity, then they will look to other options. but hagan will likely get a chance this week.

  79. Bob Marley Says:

    Really simple.

If Al Davis is calling the shots, he needs to be credited for signing Derek Hagan, right? Hagan was a street free agent, other teams weren’t fighting over him but Al Davis outsmarted the whole league once again by picking up this guy for nothing, right?.

So, why wouldn’t Al want his “find” on the field so people could talk about him?.

Unless you want to say Al Davis didn’t sign Hagan and didn’t approve him making the final roster, but that would mean Al doesn’t really run things right?.

    So which one is it?.

By the way, DHB got open and caught the ball, including a couple of key plays, not to mention the out of bonds long ball that helped keep the Denver defense honest, think Hagan could have done any better?.

  80. Bob Marley Says:

Look, I like Derek Hagan and I disagree with monday’s decision, I would have had him active over Nick Miller with Moore returning punts, but to say it’s all an Al Davis control plot is absurd.

  81. rob_raider Says:

exactly. hagan was brought in w/ chad jackson as practice fodder while so many guys were hurt. i don’t think anyone thought he would even make the roster. but he played well, and they kept him around. he’ll get a shot and if he does well, he’ll get more shots. it’s not like he did anything amazing. he made some nice catches. he did have a nice td run. people are just restless w/ the wr’s we have and they are grasping at anyone who does anything remotely good. patience guys.

  82. Method To My Madness Says:

    Ghost……..that is awesome….money!

  83. Method To My Madness Says:

Lol….you Hagan detractors dont get it. We dont think dude is a pro bowler. He gives you the one thing you dont have….a possession wr who can run routes. Why cant you see this? Talking meat and potatoes here

  84. willflo818 Says:

He forgot to list an injury for the Raiders.
    Pos. Name. Injury.
    WR. Chaz Schilens C’mon seriously?

  85. Method To My Madness Says:

You guys have your opinion I guess….but Im over confident abouut him playing with JC for this offense. So much will open up for this offense with consistent snaps. 6′2 215 with good hands. See HANDS?

    Madness

Hagan has plenty of fans here, myself included…looks like he will get a chance on sunday and I’m sure we’ll be rooting for him.

  88. priesttj Says:

Then why was he waking the street looking for work?

We do have poss/rec’s anyone who can catch a pass is a possesion rec’r. That crap gets overplayed way tooo much. Dmoore is as much a possesion rec’r as anyone so is Chaz so is DHB for my money that catch he made to ice the game was as possesion as it gets………..period

  89. ohioraider Says:

Father Pride & Poise, you’re ranting senselessly again. DHB a possession receiver? A possession receiver is sure handed, but perhaps a step slower than the speed burners. A possession receiver is money in the bank. Remember Biletnikoff? Get the picture?

  90. priesttj Says:

Bob they think we don’t like the kid, we ALL like Hagan but this worship because he had a good not even great preseason is looney.

  91. ohioraider Says:

Let’s face it, Jackson got owned by Corkran in that interview. Too bad.

  92. priesttj Says:

Possesion rec’r is a guys who supposed to be used underneath everyone knows that even dead dogs. But trying to select some guy out of these kids as the guy is what gets me. Saying Haagan is the only guys who can fill that role is foolish.

  93. priesttj Says:

Murphy can do it, Chaz can, Ford can and certainly a TE can whom is the most likely to be the guy. Possesion WR is as overused as #1 WR is you need playmakers…………..period

  94. Bob Marley Says:

I’m out Priest, enjoy the weekend people.

  95. priesttj Says:

You can take any rec’r nd make him your possesion rec’r all you do select who plays the X,Y and Z. You guys are way too full yourselves.

It happened one day before he missed that game winner in AZ last year.

  100. RaiderSam Says:

He should be arrested by now, and maybe they will wait until after the Bills game. Jackson will be absolutely thrilled by this. Very little specifics, and it took about a year to “build a case”, so in other words – monetary civil damage hunt. Rape is serious, and they wouldve not only did a test, call in Jano for questioning, this means they had a very thin case from the get go, and wanted to get the “facts” straight. Walnut Creek meaning a money place, and a so called “family-type” atmosphere, so the moral climate is just right to go after a big old bad Raider.

Jano has really messed up. What is inconclusive is whether he was drinking or not at the time (so he is subject to the League disciplinary policy). They timed this perfectly, right after he tied a record, and before a key game as well. Thanks, media and thank you , Jano for another idiotic off-field incident (allegedly).

  101. willhacket Says:

It’s ironic for the conspiracy theorists that Hagan may ‘have’ to play despite who or what they think is controlling the lineup.

But chew on this. Much has been made in national and local media of the Bills horrible run defense playing well in KC. But they gave up 108 yards on 18 carries. That is exactly 6 yards a carry. They did not stop the run. The Chefs stopped running because they were behind or stupid or both.

So, who cares who’s catching the ball. The Raiders will be able to run. . .and win.

    ===============
How much money does DHB make? That answers the question..the guy not only will play , he will be thrown to. He has no choice but to succeed or make a key mistake, which he will sooner or later. Hagan had inconsistency, and QB turnover in Miami, then was buried behind a Giant WR roster with Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham. Hagan will be lucky to see the field, he was added only as camp fodder, and actually made some plays. The speed bias is on Nick Miller’s side…although he hasnt been elusive at PR, quite frankly he is taking up a roster spot. End of Story.

I don’t believe Ford being out is that big of a deal, because I believe we are deep at that position and both Moore and Miller can fill in for him.Miller has been running the same plays since the beginning of camp.I remember reading early in camp Miller was lining up in the backfield so after seeing what we tried to do with Ford, obviously,Miller and him were running the same plays. That is why he sticks around-his versatility.Miller and Ford are the same players-only Ford is better-if you get what I’m trying to say.

Thanks. It was worth a try. Guess I’ll have to call hererra in the morning and get to the bottom of this. I doubt he’ll give me a straight answer tho, ha, let alone even taking my call. But if he did, I would say ‘john, what the hell is goin on when you sit a guy that can help the team? what is goin on man, pull your head out of the dumpster and git. Go get us winner now’.

  169. lefty12 Says:

Priest,I don’t dislike JC,I’m just not sold on him.I do believe he is our best option at this time. However, unlike most on here-surprise,surprise-I like Boller. If our line turns out to be as good as I believe they will be,JC better step it up or Boller, who throws a beautiful deep ball, might get an opportunity, probably through injury, and surprise everyone.Pastorini/Plunkett if you will. But let it be noted,I hope it never comes to that.

  170. priesttj Says:

No I totally agree in fact I was trying to sy the same thing earlier when these guys were ripping the kid. JC raves about Miller so I know he has confidence in the guy. He can make athletic plays and has great hands they don’t rely on him for no reason.

  174. priesttj Says:

Lefty12 OK my hope is probably the same as yours with JC he’s got to get better and better. I would just like him when he does throw to a kid deep mak sure he gives the guy a chance to make a play because that gives these kids confidence.

O Herrera and I talk occasionally he’s a great guy, who knows he may talk to you. I haven’t spoken with him since maybe a couple of years. I just haven’t wnated to bother those guys like I used to anymore.

  175. priesttj Says:

O I hope you guys aren’t disappointed by Hagan you all seem to have such high hopes for this guy. It’s going to be hard for him to live up to them.

  176. lefty12 Says:

I doubt if I’d be surprised because I believe he is a decent WR.I just don’t see what he has to offer that the guys that are already playing offer. For instance,if as he did last game,DHB makes the plays he did plus has the advantage of the long ball due to his speed, what can Hagan do DHB can’t?Now,if DHB were still dropping balls I could see your point. But he isn’t.

  177. PlunkforHOF Says:

Happy Fri evening Raider fans.. nice to be where we are right now, don’t you think? I’m feeling we have a great shot at taking out the Buffalo Gals. Thats funny, cause if I lived near by I would bother them every chance I got. I would be at the doorstep, I would be in their kitchen. I would hound them 24/7. Eventually, they would either find a spot for me or give me club seats just to shut me up. Even if it was makin lunch runs or sweeping the sidewalks, they would do it. Eventually I’d have ADs’ ear.

  180. priesttj Says:

Left I think miller is going to shock some folks the kid has great hands if they give him half a chance he’ll score as a rec’r.and DHB should’ve scored if the ball is thrown better.

Don’t get down on Hue over Hagan now fellas.

Putting guys in who aren’t ready is only going to hinder this team.

Hue just beat a div. rival on the road, on opening week, and on National TV, against all vegas odds and snide media remarks. We all know how easy that is!

Now he has a short week to take the team clear across the country and play a team that is coming home from putting up a 40burger in Arrowhead, and had a full week to prepare for their Home Opener. On top of that, his Kicker being accused of battery and kidnapping appears on the National Media. Great Life!

If Hue wins this thing, he will be the Man! So please, let him lose a few before you throw him under the bus, not because of Hagan.

Sebastian Janikowski charged with battery over 2010 incident

Posted by Michael David Smith on September 16, 2011, 8:41 PM EDT

    Getty Images
Just days after he tied the record for the longest field goal in NFL history, Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski is in trouble with the law, stemming from an incident last year.

The Contra Costa Times reports that Janikowski has been charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment against a woman stemming from a 2010 incident.

According to the report, the woman says Janikowski used “force and violence” upon her, but there are no more details than that. Janikowski and the Raiders were unavailable for comment.

Janikowski has had multiple legal problems but none in the last few years. He was arrested four times while a player at Florida State and has been arrested three times since the Raiders drafted him in 2000. His most recent arrest was in 2003 and related to a fight at a restaurant. Those charges were later dropped.

Funny stuff right there bro. Fans may have no effect here in blog land, but when there is a lack of them at home on game day, I’m sure it has an some effect. Some players like to have a packed-house crowd to get behind them. I’m sure Coach Davis would love to see asses in the seats cause it means a lot of good things when that happens. Green things. When the fans are packing the house, it usually means the Raidahs’ is winnin. When seats are empty, well you know the story. Don’t need to hear it from me.

But hey, you never know if Coach Davis or Coach Jackson be reading things in here and take a pointer or two away. You just never know. You can’t say they don’t cause you can’t prove it.

  197. priesttj Says:

Their family and friends tell them most of what they hear. Fans are fans they leave it at that even players have no time to read this crap and why would they 99.9% of it is horsecrap.

Denver game our passing numbers were terrible. We only passed when we had to. Who’s to say we aren’t a lot better than we look. What if Hue will only run what he has to win. Why show too much against teams you can beat running the ball.

That “innocent until proven guilty” only applies to TV and the world of fantasy. When they arrest you, you’re guilty in their eyes and you’re treated like shzt from that moment on. Ask anyone who has every been arrested and in jail, any jail. You’re a piece of scum from that moment on…period.

Hey guys, I’m sure most, if not all, of you guys have seen the Raiders Report, Week 2, posted 9/16/11, with J.T. Brick. It’s a 22 minute segument on our home site and it’s really awesome. Great review of highlights from our Denver game, as well as comments from the players and coaches. It’s a must see. Oh, by the way, it has a good closing session with over 100 women trying out for the Raiderettes and that segument, in and of it’s self, is well worth watching. Wow, some beautiful women. Enjoy!

  235. CanuckRaider Says:

#232: Yeah, I was one of the ones hoping that was the case at the end of pre-season. So far it looks like we might have been right. Could explain why Big Rich was laughing during that sideline interview while being asked about the run D concerns.

  236. kidseven Says:

Raider 17, Bills 14. Another frustrating Raiders victory coming up.

  237. CanuckRaider Says:

Yeah…I picked 24-13 but I think it will be closer due to injuries.

  240. CanuckRaider Says:

Buffalo uses a spread passing attack so this game will also be a good test for the Patsies game in two weeks. They use two athletic TEs instead of 4 WRs but it’s the same basic philosophy. The matchup game is just a bit tougher against the Patsies due to the TEs size.

Thanks for the intel…The team sounds comfident, and jacked up…..

The team went in to Denver a hated opponent first game of the year on monday night and won…

Going to do the same against buffalo, go into NY and beat the hell outta them…

  251. morilla Says:

Maybe not news to them, but it is to the league. This will turn into another Roethlisberger fiasco.

  252. Thec07 Says:

Listening to the guys talk in that interview you can feel the confidence…

  253. HueKnows Says:

  254. RaiderRetribution Says:

I do not remember MNF showing him in a box suite.

  255. morilla Says:

He’s been charged with a pretty serious crime. A suspension is coming.

  256. Sullivan44 Says:

Buffalo’s receivers are not going to drop passes thrown to them right between the numbers the way Denver’s did. When you consider that, and the fact that we BARELY squeaked by Denver, you can see at least one valid reason for my cynicism.

it wouldn’t matter what happened, u would still say the raiders would lose. y do u come here?

b.lloyd led the nfl in receiveing last year. yeah, the broncos somehow have the worst receivers in the league according to you and the bills are amazing. ur stupidity knows no bounds. why do get on here and repeat urself over and over? what’s the point? get a life, dude.

  260. rob_raider Says:

u r a hater–everyone knows that. u have never said a good word about the raiders in any regard. no matter who we are playing u predict the raiders will lose. u denigrate every player and coach. u support anyone who we don’t like. u say how great any opponent is. ur just a troll who apparently dedicates their life to trying to be a d*ck on a raiders blog. pathetic.

  261. 2romes Says:

Chaz Schilens blocked pretty good last week but he needs to do a better job. If he had sealed out Dawkins on the play when the Raiders where back on their end zone Mc Fadden would probably still be running. He needs to take full advantage of his big body on passing plays and blocking plays.

The Raiders did a good job protecting Campbell and he still seemed to be a tad timid. I recall the play he made the first down while near the Broncos end zone. It seemed like he did not if he should slide or stand for the first down. Thankfully he made the first down but he just did not look confident.

It is OK that Campbell continue to mostly attempt the short passes but he must continue to confidently step into the short passes to be a accurate as possible so the running backs and receiver can run after the catch. The run after the catch is where are backs and receiver can do most damage to the opposing teams.

  262. BigTed707 Says:

People in here were talking like the team was gonna’ lose respect for Hue if he didn’t start Hagan.

Is that why they dumped Gatoraid on his head on MNF? They gave him a Gatoraid bath because they were pissed about Hagan?

    I think not.

Hagan played in 4 preseason games, and the Raiders went 0-4. Hagan didn’t play in the one game we won – just sayin’

  263. BigTed707 Says:

In My Book – Hue can backpedal as much as he wants as long as the Raiders are winning!

Hue is not the first coach to lie to the Media, and he won’t be the last.

who ever commented anything remotely close to the above statement has lost it….

Go look at the interview with JT the Brick, nobody appeared to be trippin off DHAGAN…

The focus is on the BUFFALO BILLS, and beating them…

No. They said he will not be traveling to the games this year.

  267. BigTed707 Says:

Thec – I’m just saying that those making a big deal about the team resenting Hue for sitting Hagan were dead wrong.

Obviously, Al and Hue like Hagan, otherwise they wouldn’t give him a shirt with a number on it.

Prediction, you will grow tired of kicking him in the A$$….

  269. Sullivan44 Says:

BigTed, who said the team was going to lose respect for Jackson if he didn’t play Hagan? I didn’t. I just said that Hagan would greatly improve the chances of winning. If Hagan’s performance in the preseason would have even remotely transcended into his performance in Denver, we probably would have put the game away in the middle of the 4th quarter. Instead, we barely won.

  270. Thec07 Says:

Obviously, Al and Hue like Hagan, otherwise they wouldn’t give him a shirt with a number on it.

HAGAN will get some burn tommorrow, I hope he does well…

Ridiculous…Only thing that prevented a blowout was penalties…

  272. Sullivan44 Says:

Thec, after Hue Jackson wins his 3rd Super Bowl, I’d imagine then that any surliness or inconsistencies in his statements to the press will be passed off as some sort of cool style of his, as is the case with Belichick. In the meantime, Hue would be better suited being forthright and open with the media, because he’ll be scorned for anything less. You’ve got to pay your dues. Belichick’s paid them. Hue is a green, wet behind the ears rookie in the world of NFL coaching.

First Monday night win in several years.
