We absolutely can beat the cheatriots. The offense has to play well and put up a lot of points on a mediocre defense, and the defense needs to fly around and make some stops and get a couple of turnovers. I don’t look for the defense to stop N.E. but they do have to slow them down a little.

anyone know why Sterling Moore was let go?
    ===============================================

Yeah. Chimdi Chekwa and Joe Porter played extremely well. Chekwa had a surprisingly good game and Porter might have had the better game considering he wasn’t even drafted. With those two playing that well, Moore was not needed.

    ——————-

    Kinda…

6-0, 210 lb SAFETY in Parker. Eugene IR, MM34 undetermined status, Michael Huff Concussion.

Chekwa showed he may be battle ready, DVD in the wings, Sterling a 5-10, 190 CORNERBACK.

Thia may be why but CJ is a question mark 4 sure after one horrible game and a lingering injury so maybe Sterling comes back?
    ============================================

Porter was playing safety and some corner. Like Huff.

I guess for some people here and Corks, if the player doesn’t pan out, is Mr. Davis pick, otherwise is someone else, or maybe Mr. Davis had an epiphany, right, that’s objectivity for you.

No….moneys tight right now. Wish I could. Only game we have lost that I have been to was Farve throwing for a billion yards after his dad died. I think im good luck.

  • raiderkoolaid

It will be big if we can preasure Brady with a four man rush.

  • DonManoukiansNeighbor

I wish i could root for Wash in this game. I hate Dallas but hate Shannrat more.

  • raiderkoolaid

If there was no foul then why did they throw the flag?

it would be nice to get some picks on Sunday Brady threw 4 last week lets shoot for 3 on Sunday

6 days until another sellout at the OAKLAND COLISEUM!

  • JB

I hope we start seeing more Boss & much less Meyer. On my card, I have Meyer as the #4 TE. By the end of the year I’m sure it will be that way on HuJack’s card too. Boss is a BIG weapon and we need him in there if he’s healthy. He’s a much better blocker too!

  • beach

I don’t miss Zach Miller at all. Kevin Boss can catch, and more importantly, BLOCK!!!

Kevin Boss will prove to be a significant upgrade to Zach Miller. And yes, he is a much better blocker. We were very lucky to have gotten him to join the Raiders. His loss was one of the dumbest things the NY Giants let happen.

It will be interesting to see what the Unpaid Bills did defensively to confuse Brady. I was watching some of that game, but with the sound down.

I think this week’s defensive effort should be STUFF any/all run attempts and all linemen GET YOUR ARMS, HANDS & LEGS UP to close down the passing lanes in the middle to Brady’s TE’s. A defensive alignment of 5-0-6 should get it done.

On the offense, just keep doing what you’ve been doing. I don’t think the Pat’s defense will be able to stop us from scoring.

I predict a high scoring event. It will be a shoot-out & I just hope our gun is bigger than theirs.

  • Sullivan44

This is why everyone makes fun of us. It’s one thing to be jacked about a big win. But this is why they laugh at us:

“Nnamdi sucks! He sucks!!! Al was right! Al was right all along!!!! Nnamdi Asomugha is the worst CB in football!! He’s horrible! Al was right!!!”

Good headline for when Hue and Al’s relationship hits Kiffin status.

  • lefty12

I saw where earlier the discussion was Revis and who he was covering.I just watched the 1st half and he was on DHB every play until there was 4 minutes left and then only for 1 play. Then on 1 play during the drive right before half. The only times he switched sides was when DHB switched sides.

  • Sullivan44

It didn’t take long for Kiffin to ruffle Al’s feathers, and it didn’t take much.

Hue’s already talking about the team playing “in his vision”. His vision? That can’t sit well with the old man. Some of the Davis worshipers in here are already suggesting Hue should “edit” himself, and be more like Belichick, reserved and quiet. Those of us who just know this team, know that it’s deja vu all over again…

  • freeshot350

So I’m a little p!ssed after watching the highlights on Nfl.com. They show the long catch and run by tomlinson with no mention of Chris Johnson being held by the DB. They chalk it up to “he’s still got it” or “he always does that to the Raiders” Then they show the long McFadden run and start it off with Steve Mariucci saying Kevin Boss got away with a hold there. Oh well guess I’ll just chalk it up to “the media hates the Raiders”

DHB has regressed from last year.

After 3 games this year he has 5 catches for 49 yards.

Last year after 3 games, he had 10 catches for 140 yards.

    Hue has moved on……

    ——————————————————-
u can really say some ridiculous sh!t at times. the guy played in 2 of the 3 games this year not all 3 like last year. he was open enuff times to get a few more passes but jc isnt doing his job. he beat cromart on the pi he drew and jc just threw the ball out of bounds. he had enuff room to fit that ball in between cromart and the safety. he also shouldve thrown that endzone pass to the corner where dhb could run to it. why the hell is jc getting a pass for underthrowing a wr who runs a 4.3? the guy had a step on strickland and once agian jc missed him. u hella funny cuz u went from making the asinine prediction that cartwright would rush for more yrds than dmc last year and u even said that heybey would have a better career than russell and dmc. well russell flamed out but there was no way heybey was ever going to outshine dmc. he needs to do a better job of attacking the ball but there are times when our qb shouldnt make him have to.

“Lets face it, Sanchito is not in the neighborhood of great QB’s yet as he won’t even be able to match the way the 2nd best QB in the AFC East did last week against the Raiders.”

Fitzpatrick only threw for a 5.7 Y/A last week. He threw 2 more passes than Sanchez did against the Cowboys (who are a better defensive unit IMO), for 70 less yards. Both were at home, so that’s not an excuse. They were both in comeback wins, so that’s not an excuse, either. In fact, Sanchez did not have the luxury of a successful running game, so the Cowboys were basically setting up to tee off on the guy, and he still had a great comeback and second half.

They also have almost identical completion percentages for the season (63.2% vs. 63.4%). So if Fitzy is the “second best QB in the AFC East”, then what’s Sanchez? 2.01? Also, I think you should win some games (and not spend every week throwing 40 passes) before you can be “better” than someone. Stats aren’t everything.

And last I checked, Jason Campbell still runs the Raiders offense. He hasn’t been notable since Auburn. He scares me about as much as Luke McCown did. “no 3&outs”…PROVE IT! They have 5 3&outs in two games. The Jets have 8, but 3 were in the second half of Sunday’s game while running out the clock, two when the backups were in. 4 of the others were in the first half of the Cowboys game (when they tried to run into the teeth of an 8-man-in-the-box blitz party).

“Expect the Raiders to take their shots vs. a very overrated Cromartie who’ll keep drives going with flags. ”

Maybe Campbell should shoot a text over to Luke McCown to ask him what happens when a mediocre-at-best QB throws deep balls against Cromartie. You don’t beat Cro going deep, you beat him with complicated, multi-move routes. Please, by all means, chuck up arm punts to your WRs, who are probably worse at making a play on the ball than Cro is.

“On the bright side for the mucus, the D will still keep them in it but can’t make up for the O’s ineffectiveness. Raiders win 24-13.”

If the Raiders score 24 points, I will tattoo a Jamarcus Russell jersey onto my back.

    This was fun.
    ”””””””””

I wish I knew this guy.

  • freeshot350

@188 I went to the AZ and @SD game last year and I pretty much watched Asomugha the whole time on D. Watching good corners on tv doesn’t do them justice like in person.

  • Try Some Reality

Don’t go getting your britches all soiled, MR.

Just an interesting headline I came across, especially considering that a virtual rookie was making catches over him and running through him with help from another teammate, no less (on both plays). It’d be interesting if it was Revis too. Nnamdi is discussed with the best of them so he’s gonna be under the microscope, dude.

Besides, you’d be gyrating like a school boy just hitting puberty with a naked Jennifer Aniston poster in his hand if Nnamdi was playing lights out and lighting the world on fire. Don’t lie, you’d be giddily telling us just how much Davis fumbled. Hypocrite.

  • raideredoutL.A.

  • Try Some Reality

Still concerned about our D, folks. Sanchez gave us a gift with that pick in the endzone. Wondering how we would have faired against a real QB.

  • lefty12

My TIVO ended at 5:33 left in the 4th-was so excited watching the game forgot to extend the time- and Revis was on DHB all but a handful of plays up until then.

  • raideredoutL.A.

Need to activate another CB, IMO. NE is going to spread it out all day.

Cj37 will forever be getting hurt and Huff will probably have to get through the whole concussion thing to play.
