So many mistakes made Sunday that I won’t even go into it. What made me really mad, though, was the cheating by the refs on that PI call.

During preseason everyone was saying how the O was the weak spot on this team and the front 7 on D were our strong suit. Now that we are a quarter way through the season it is obvious that the O and ST are good enough to win the AFC west but the weak link is the D. We can still end up 9-7 or even 10-6 if the D can get its act together, but we are still one decent draft away from being a true contender. We MUST draft a top level CB and need to add depth at LB. Otherwise it is going to continue to be more of the same next year.

Most of the players on defense fall into the category of “buy ‘em for what they’re worth, sell ‘em for what they think they’re worth”.
McClain ” I tackled pretty good”…. at the top of the list. He seems to think his job is to tie up a blocker until the whistle blows. Until he learns to come off a block and find the ball he’s a bust in my book.

His tackle stats are deceiving in that a good number of them happen 5-7 yards down field. Not much success in that formula.

These Head Coach press conferences are a waste of time. Week in and week out nothing is ever said, it’s just one cliche after another. It’s horrible.

The Raiders will win teh AFC West. San Diego barely beat an 0-4 Minnesota, 0-4 Miami and a 1-3 Kansas City Chiefs. Some of the so called experts have the Chargers in the top five powerranking poll. By the end of the year the Raiders will have this division.

Don’t get me wrong Hue Jackson is doing a pretty good job, but conservative play calling at key moments was driving me crazy. McFadden breaks off big chunks of yards, so you rest him on the sideline? You just made NE’s job a lot easier. I also seriously question having a rookie cover Wes Welker, the best receiver in the league should be covered by Stanford Rout. Period. Running plays and underneath dink and dunk is this teams true weakness. Especially when you have so many missed tackles and dumb penalties and dumb refs. Coaches C-, players, C-. The good news will come after Houston, but the Raiders need a win to get back on track and stay close to SD,

Come on Raiders, you need to get better now!!

The offense isn’t the problem, but when you basically abandon the run with the best RB in football that becomes a problem. The real problem with this team is the secondary and LB’s. They have guys who can cover 1 on 1 not to mention can’t tackle. They didn’t address this issue in free agency (I don’t count Giordano cuz he is horrible). So now we have to dominate the time of possession every game with the run to compensate for a sorry defense. If we can still win AFC west game and get a bit lucky then 10-6 is possible. I still will never trust Big Dick Seymour again.
