McClain, Shaughnessy, Reece not at practice

Fullback Marcel Reece, middle linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive end Matt Shaughnessy are not at practice today.
Reece and Shaughnessy missed the past two games, Reece with an ankle injury, Shaughnessy because of a sore shoulder. McClain hurt an ankle against the Houston Texans last Sunday.
The Raiders worked out linebackers Prescott Burgess and Kevin Malast on Tuesday, but they opted against signing either player. Also, Ricky Brown was placed on injured reserve Saturday, so he is out for the season.
For now, McClain’s backup is Darryl Blackstock, a core special teams player to date. He played under defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan with the Cincinnati Bengals in the past and in the UFL last season.
Tight end Richard Gordon (hand) also is not at practice. He did not play against the Texans as a result of the broken hand he suffered against the New England Patriots.

Cornerbacks Chris Johnson and Chimdi Chekwa are back at practice, though it appears as if they are limited. Both didn’t play against the Texans.

A player is wearing No. 32 at practice. Coincidentally, running back Nic Grigsby is not at practice. Well, at least in the white No. 32 he wore last week, when he was signed to the practice squad.
It appears as if Grigsby has been converted to defensive back. We won’t know for sure until practice ends, and coach Hue Jackson and the players are available to the media.

Kicker Sebastian Janikowski was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his four-field goal performance against the Texans.
Three of his field goals were from at least 50 yards, only the fifth time in history a player has accomplished that feat.

Rookie quarterback Terrelle Pryor is practicing with his teammates for the first time since his five-game suspension ended. The Raiders now have three quarterbacks on their roster for the first time this season.
Not that it matters much, the way Jason Campbell is playing. Backup Kyle Boller has yet to take a snap in any of Oakland’s five games.

Former Raiders running back Napoleon Kaufman is a visitor at today’s practice. Coach Hue Jackson attends the church that Kaufman preaches at in the east bay.

That’s how I read it, yes. Some pick next year, not necessarily a 1st rounder

Wow, read some trippy sh!t fellas, and I might be late on this so if ya’ll already discussed, please know that I’m too lazy to read up on all the posts…anyhow, makes the play forever known as the “Divine Interception” even crazier. Apparently, we only had 10 men on the field for the last play when Huff made the pick. Have to check myself, but supposedly this has been confirmed by Paul Gutierrez from the CSN Bay Area network. Saying some crazy ish like Al was the 11th man. Giving me chills thinking about it.

don’t get your panties all in a bunch, jr.
    It’s simple.
JC is last as far as the current starting qb’s in the AFC West go.
You post stats, I reply to stats, and all of a sudden you want those stats left out?
I’ll say it again. You heep praise on JC for wins, and post over and over how it’s not his fault on losses.
You seem to change your mind a lot, along with avoiding facts.
Lowest qb rating of the four starters.
Lowest completion % of the four starters.

Now you want to just discuss the fact the Raiders beat div rivals, but not JC’s play?

    convenient.
weak, oh so weak, but convenient.
Like you said, don’t like it?
    too bad.
    ======================

you must be having trouble reading i havent omitted any stats, i havent asked you to remove any stats form the topic, other than tebow and his half of a game.

You are only considering comp% and qb rating, i am looking at the whole picture to base my assessment. If you dont get it i cant help you.

here is the original post although i know it kills you to read these facts.

    Interesting facts

    phillip rivers 125/186 67.2 cmp %1536 yards 8.26 yard per att 6td 7int 4 fumbles rating of 87.6

    orton 91/155 58.7 cmp% 979 yards 6.32 yard per att
    8td 7int 2 fumbles rating 75.7

    cassel 93/140 66.4cmp% 945 yards 6.7 yards per att
    8td 5int 2 fumbles rating of 89.7

    Jc 94/156 60.3 1118 yards 7.17 yards per att
    6td ( 2 rushing td 8 total) 4int 1 fumble 84.3 rating

Looks like Jc is on par with any qb in our division.
he only trails rivers in cmp % yards and rating, but he has less turnovers, and throws the ball down field more than rivers.

In fact “captain check down” is leading the afc west in throwing down field, and turns the ball over less than any qb in the division.

Jc has the best td to turn over ratio in the division as well. rivers is the only other qb to have a rushing td giving him 7td / 11 turnovers. Jc has 8td/ 5 turnovers.

Dont look now but at this moment we are being treated to the best qb play in the afc west!

“Not a good business move if the whiners own the place and take a cut of the Raider revenue. The Raiders would be renters.”

Come on dude of course its not a good business decision if they are a renters no one would agree to that.

Are the Jets or Giants renters?

That is the kind of deal they are looking for and has been suggested by the commissioner himself.

I understand that most of you don’t want to travel to the South bay for a football game but lets be real here its a lot better than driving to Los Angles every other Sunday. The City of Oakland is not going to make an offer then what are we left with?

  • TheToozFan55

Did you all see that we only had ten men on the field

Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah BUDDY!!! Plus, on a side note – Gannon is calling the game Sunday with Marv Albert. Not sure if that’s classy of the Raiders to allow him to call the game being Al banned him from the facility or not. I’m sure Al had love for him though. It’ll be interesting to see what Rich has to say.
