I called it the minute I heard Curry was on the block. Obvious Davis move that Jackson hinted at in a previous post about how Davis and him had already planned stuff prior to the trade deadline and for this season in terms of player acquisitions.

Good pick up. This is the kind of athleticism we need at LB. We just need McClain to become a thumper, or find a thumper to put at MLB and move McClain to Sam backer.

We need run stopping LB’s, and someone to shed blocks and make tackles. Curry needs to learn the middle, prefereably alongside McClain. While DL is the strength of hte front seven, look at the age, Seymour, Henderson, and Kelly is not that young. A multiple front approach, mixing 3-4 looks with 4-3, with Wimbley rushing is good. He is not a OLB, but he doesn’t stack and shed OT’s either. He is an edge rusher, period, and should be brought in on passing downs.

Curry, McClain, Burfict in 2012

Vontaze is an animal and I would love to see him in a Raider uniform. If Curry can come around and become an effective OLB, McClain improves and the Burfict. Wow, son…Start getting the rings ready

Very, very interesting trade. Not so much because Curry is coming, which is great!, more so because of what it means. Someone with clout in the Org. saw what we saw: we have DEs playing LB positions. It was Al’s dream to succesfully convert one of these combine freaks into an OLB, much to the chagrin of the team.

Hmmmm. What to do with Wimbley now? Cut Trevor Scott and move Wimbley to his natural DE position? We need help at DE, Shaughnessy will be out a while.
