Screw the safety call. How did the Niners not get flagged for hitting Stafford below the knees???? It happened directly in front of the official and he didn't even flinch.

Raiders planning for the future

By Bill Williamson
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Raiders are seeking advice by three former Raiders’ employees as they transition after the death of owner Al Davis.

Davis died at the age of 82 on Oct. 8.

Schefter reported Davis’ son, Mark Davis, is talking to John Madden, Ron Wolf and Ken Herock. Madden was the Raiders' coach during their glory days of the 1970s and Wolf and Herock were personnel men for the Raiders.

It’s no surprise that the three are being consulted. Mark Davis grew up with the team and he knows how much his father valued all three men.

Mark Davis and coach Hue Jackson are making the personnel decisions since Davis’ death.

The Raiders will likely pursue a general manager after the season. Jackson, though, will likely continue to have a key role. Schefter reports that Packers director of football operations, Reggie McKenzie, has been recommended to Mark Davis.

McKenzie is an excellent football man who has a history with both Wolf and Herock, as well as with the Raiders. He played for the Raiders from 1985-88. I think this is a candidate to keep on eye on after the season.
