End 3rd qtr: Chiefs 21, Raiders 0
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 at 3:28 pm in Oakland Raiders.
The third quarter ended on a 21-yard pass from Carson Palmer to Darrius Heyward-Bey on third-and-9 to the Oakland 44-yard line with the Raiders trailing 21-0.
Palmer has had some timing issues with wide receivers but has not turned the ball over.
Running back Darren McFadden, linebacker Rolando McClain and safety Matt Giordano are all out of the game. Giordano has been ruled out. McFadden and McClain are unlikely to return.

21 points off turnovers. Damn score should be 7-7 at the worst…

Pryor
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:31 pm
Thats exactly why I said not to put Palmer in, he is not ready.
No reason to kill his confidence as well as the fans confidence in him before he even gets a chance to learn the offense.

Very unCarson Palmer like pick 6
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:31 pm

JB – Where have you been. That was a very, VERY Carson-like pick
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:31 pm
OK now its like a live practice..i would put in the subs..don’t risk injury with anyone else
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:32 pm
Oh well, put Pryor in.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:32 pm
Not knocking you, just saying I’ve seen Carson make poor reads like that numerous times.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:32 pm
so, all u idiots who said we should “wait and see” w/ boller, have u seen enuff? i told u guys he sucked. was the palmer trade necessary to get us to the playoffs? like i said.

Yes. The blame goes on those two. With Bresnahan as a close second.
The score should be 14-0. Not 28.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:33 pm
Palmer is an old pro.His confidence isn’t going to be a problem and what the fans think doesn’t mean sh!t.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:33 pm
Hmmmm. Gives credence to the idea that all of Palmer’s interceptions last year were the fault of “lazy” routes by TO and Ocho. Whatever.

October 23rd, 2011 at 3:35 pm
should never have put Palmer in.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:35 pm
this is a preseason game performance by these guys.
lack of heart on hue. these guys clearly had no faith in boller.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:36 pm
Now you guys are just reaching….look, I’m pulling for Palmer, but that pick was all on him. Moore ran his hitch and didn’t even have time to come back to the ball before Flowers was all over it. Put the blame where it’s due on that play. Carson will bounce back, but that was an incredibly poor read
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:36 pm
Palmer has easily thrown at least three more passes that were dangerously close to being picked.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:36 pm
This is on Hue and Boller.
This team will be dangerous with Palmer.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:37 pm
Moore and Ford aren’t looking very good lately. They both need to step it up and show more.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:37 pm
can bush not run for a yard without going airborne?
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:37 pm
This offense will look 100x better after the bye week.
Also, to the Bush haters—try watching those replays on the 4 downs. The Chief linebacker was getting good low shots on him and beating the blocker.
You all play way too much Madden football on the video game…..try WATCHING the real game for a change

October 23rd, 2011 at 3:38 pm
LMAO! 28-0 vs. The Chiefs? LSU could beat the Chefs for frick sake. Great playcalling Hue. Al will be haunting your ass tonight! Pathetic. You aren’t building a bully here, you are being bullied. Don’t give me the no D Mac excuse either. The O line is soft today. Oh yeah nice trade for Palmer too. 2 1st rounders? A 3rd for pryor? You got owned Hue.

October 23rd, 2011 at 3:43 pm
I still think these are good reps for Palmer to be getting.
DVD is playing really well.
Curry is playng really well.
Bye week will give us time to heal up.
I think Hue will learn from his mistakes and won’t be so inclined to go with the trickery.
I think this team is still headed to a division title.
Not worried at all.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:43 pm
this is on Boller…and to a lesser extent Hue…..Carson should not be in there throwing picks.
Boller should have finished this and taken the beating.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:43 pm
hit Moore in the hands and just didnt make a play. But more importantly watch him hang his head after the play. they been doing that since the 2nd quater. there all ready to go home.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:43 pm
oh well, it’s just one L. Carson looks like he’s gonna be an improvement, but too bad for us, it wasn’t soon enough. Hue had a terrible game calling plays, and we’ll bounce back. Hopefully McFadden isn’t back to being McFragile. What really sucks is the possibility of McClain being seriously hurt. Shouldn’t have even been out there considering Hue said the ankle was worse than last week.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:43 pm
Well…….I knew I was worried about this game for a reason.
4-3 at the bye, I am cool with that.
Really need Palmer to get his sea legs under him and get ready to get a big lead against the Broncos, so we don’t get Tebow’d at the end of the game.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:43 pm
I am upset that Kyle Boller couldn’t do his job.
I am upset at Hue getting all fancy way too early in the game.
That lost the game right up front
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:44 pm
KC wanted revenge,, this game was circled on their calendar along time ago. They showed up today that’s all. Carson will have 2 weeks to get things together,,DMAC can rest, and we’ll come back looking like a brand new team.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:44 pm

….yeah I don’t either.

October 23rd, 2011 at 3:47 pm

October 23rd, 2011 at 3:47 pm

This is absolutely unacceptable for a team with playoff hopes.
The QB may play poorly, but that doesn’t give the rest of the team the excuse to take the day off.
If I’m Mark Davis, I don’t pay a fuc’in soul this week.
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:47 pm
Boller threw the game away early. Our DLine has been man handled. McFadden misses the whole game. This is a throw away game going into the bye week. Palmer will get plenty of reps with the receivers to get the timing down and open up the whole playbook. Hopefully DMac will be back too.

At the end of the day, we’re still in the same position as we were when we started. Injuries killed us. Palmer still looks promising. This game is on Hue Jackson. There was some really dumb play calling going on. This is 2 weeks in a row where his play calling had been suspect. Wished for 5-2 but I’ll take 4-3 going into the bye…

You should be upset with yourself for thinking he could do the “job”.
This guy went 0-3 as a starter in ‘08, had 3 times as many turnovers as TD’s, and than (rightfully) was out of the league for the entire 2009 season.
Why on earth did anyone think he would be any better?
October 23rd, 2011 at 3:48 pm
We abandoned the run way too early in this game. Our ground game sets up our passing game. It’s been predictable that they know we pass on every play. This game is squarely on Hue. Hopefully this will calm him down a bit.

This embarrassment is all on HueJax. He has trouble as a rookie coach, and then on top of that try to be GM. HueJax will learn soon enough that you just can open your mouth and talk crap. Now the raiders have as many losses as the chefs, hard to believe.
At least for this game, it’s obvious the team was far from being prepared. Of course, it doesn’t help not to have DMac and RoMac playing.
But, I can’t believe the defense took the game off as well. I guess not playing with your top players is a mountain to climb.
But, too play this bad. What a wasted opportunity. And as I said, Carson will not be the answer, this guy is an interception machine.
It’s all on HueJax now.

He’ll say “that was not Raider football, and we’ll get it fixed”…

Hue was in such a hurry to get Pryor in a tie game to run a QB sneak, yet can’t find a play for him when we are down 28 points?
Someone explain this to me.
=================================================
Makes no sense to me either
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:00 pm
Murphy is laying bush league ball
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:00 pm
everyone keeps dropping the ball!!
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:00 pm
Palmer is going to figure out that throwing to Murphy is as good as an incompletion.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:00 pm
JB …I know….I was being sarcastic…
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:00 pm
yeah the wrs did nothing today….
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:01 pm
Hue has to stop the bullsh!t and get back to fundamentals.
Execution on offense… yes please.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:01 pm
I hope you are kidding

October 23rd, 2011 at 4:01 pm
Why is Murphy in there and why is he throwing to him?
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:01 pm
Do you guys finally see what the offense looks like without Campbell at helm? You all took him for granted. Palmer is rusty for sure, but Kyle Boller shouldn’t even be on an NFL roster.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:02 pm
I don’t want to see Chaz benched for Murphy again
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:02 pm
Hue needs to take total credit for this stinker.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:02 pm
Look at that empty stadium. Sucks for you Bay area guys. You’re not likely to sell out another game now.

=============================================
Think the issues with the signing and everything got the best of the team and the head coach.
TEam really didn ‘t come to play….stupid penalities, dropped passes, dumb$$$ throws…just bad football
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:02 pm
Cut Boller AND Murphy.
They both suck!
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:02 pm
LOL at people thinking we could trade Murphy for anything.
Brandon Lloyd was traded foro a 6th round pick.
Murphy wouldn’t go for whatever Ron Parker left in his locker.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:02 pm
Raiders (Hue) distracted by media during the week forgot to prepare for KC.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:03 pm
12 penalties 6 picks…..now THAT’s Raider football as we know it. Hue blew it and put in that chump and now he has lost this team…..they don’t believe his BS any more than we do with those ridiculous plays he’s calling and his poor judgement with Boller.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:03 pm
Murphy has looked raggedy for sure
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:03 pm
JFB,I agree he does suck.I didn’t think he was that bad.My question would have to be why didn’t HJ call a game similar to what he did with JC-just manage it?
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:04 pm
anybody suggesting that this is on palmer is high…completely totally on the media hungry hue…hue pat yourself in the back again….
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:04 pm
Weak crap by Routt. What a sore loser.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:04 pm
The D is angry, they are going to beat the snot out of the offense after the game.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:04 pm
THese penalties are embarrassing and a disgrace
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:05 pm
105 yards in penalties…6 picks
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:05 pm
This team has such an appalling lack of discipline and that goes back to the beginning of this game.
Its not cool leading the league in offsides, holding, encroachment, pass interference, hands to the face and personal fouls
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
I know why but its still just funny that we have more passing and rushing yards yet getting beat by 4 TD’s.
Outstanding Raiders and I thought after 9yrs, games like these were in the past.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
Wow. The refs just need to end the game. The Raiders are losing it. Someone is going to get hurt.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
I’m afraid Murphy is done as a Raider. Dude plays scared.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
Wow skunked at the crib by the Queefs……..
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
Hue got caught up in his media power trip…..the best trade in football…..GET YOUR TEAM TO PLAY DISCIPLINED BALL instead.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:06 pm
we r breaking records today
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:07 pm
I hope during the bye week they are practicing twice a day
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:07 pm
Man this is embarrassing enough without that dumazz Houston doing that.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:08 pm
14 penalties…why the hell are they imploding totally?

Way too much talking from Hue on this one. Needs to take a page from Al Davis and only feed the media what they need to know
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:08 pm
I think the two earthquakes earlier this week were actually Al turning over in his grave. How many times will Hue say “obviously” at the press conference? Obviously I say at least 5 times. Obviously…
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:08 pm
Hey, how much did they pay the new Kicker?
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:09 pm
I think a good dose of humble pie is a good thing for Hue and his Raiders going into the bye week.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:09 pm
I’m sure we could have just traded one #1 and our #3 next year for Ponder or Dalton, instead of two #1’s and a #3 for Palmer and Pryor.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:09 pm
HueJax been gettn a lil Rex Ryanish lately,, I think it’s time for him to be just a tad bit quiet and focus on playing solid football from here on out. The Al Davis momentum is now gone, so we can’t rely on emotional highs to win games for us anymore. Less trick plays,, more smart plays. DVD coming of age so our cb2 spot is ok.
I was afraid DMAC would get hurt sooner or later. Hue just calm down and don’t get ahead of yourself and we’ll be fine.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:09 pm
Penalties have nothing to do with this loss. C’Mon.
Hue has a lot of explaining to do. Hope he has his Irish coffees. Which by the way, it’s not a cool thing to announce to the media that you F-in do. I love my drink more than the next man but FFS.
Hue thought he was a rockstar this week.

October 23rd, 2011 at 4:09 pm

San Diego defeat wasted
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:10 pm
they got wacked by the Queefs….in all phases of the game. They had a gameplan and we didn’t. Now they are committing even more penalties just to prolong the crappy performance instead of taking responsibility.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:10 pm
hue days obviously as much as he says “i”
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:10 pm
Ugly, ugly, ugly. Too much jawin’ to the press and not enough practice.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:10 pm

October 23rd, 2011 at 4:12 pm
Preparation is the key to winning football games…Our strongest suit this year has been running the ball and it was abandoned and neglected early…There is only one person responsible for that…I am not ashamed of my devotion, love and enthusiasm for the Raiders, but, Hue Jackson, you should be……!!!!!!!!
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:12 pm
Disgusting…truly disgusting…..And everyone has the right to vent in here so please stop getting so sensitive in here people. Doesn’t mean you don’t have your team’s back. Just means your pissed. It’s only 1 game, and one loss, but the Raiders deserve our ridicule for today’s showing.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:13 pm
ok gents and 1 lady, let’s get this ugly game out of the way. Sucks we dont play next week. Later.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:13 pm
Thanks,
Does CB Chris Johnson start when/if he returns from bye healthy enough to play?
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:14 pm
All my good Raider vibes are gone.
I’m embarrassed.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:14 pm
Man Haley didn’t even look Hue in the eye during the handshake. Hue was still talking and Haley just kept walking. What a D Bag
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:14 pm
I think I’ll have an Irish coffee and think about this loss
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:15 pm
i feel like a wrung-out dishrag…………………
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:15 pm
Hue is too stubborn. We should have kicked the FG, been down 14-3. We have to act like we arent’ desperate for points. Wouldn’t have mattered, but I hate getting shut out
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:15 pm
Hue didnt like what Tod Haly did there passing to to endzone with 1 minute remaining. That will stick for a while.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:16 pm
In just one week, HueJax has taking a highly promising team and regressed it two years. If he continues with his BS, the team will only stumble. He has totally lost his mojo. He’d better not stink it up against the donkeys.
What a lost opportunity. Mr. Davis is turning in his grave right about now.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:16 pm
Let’s be real,guys…..:if DMAC injury is serious,we are screwed….!

Jackson’s play calling in this game was really, really bad.
He sends out Pryor, who hasn’t played a down on a QB sneak?
He goes for it again on 4th and goal and puts Bush in as QB!
Boller was what we expected but the play calling didn’t help.
Sending Palmer out was pointless since he’s only been with the team for three days, doesn’t know the playbook, is out of shape, and has no connection or rhythm with the receivers.
Carson damn near re-injured his knee on his first play-in fact the KC player who got the flag seemed to be trying for that.
When it comes to the defense they forgot they had to tackle and as old Al Davis always used to insist, if you keep blitzing you’re going to get burned.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:18 pm
This game just freed up a lot of tickets for tebow nation to scoop up.
October 23rd, 2011 at 4:19 pm
Darren Mc Fragile needs to nut up. This guy is hurt more often than not. Tai Jones had better immerse himself in the playbook for the next 2 weeks
