Halftime: Chiefs 14, Raiders 0

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 at 2:32 pm in Oakland Raiders.

The Chiefs held on to their 14-0 lead as Kyle Boller threw his third interception at the Oakland 12-yard line on a telegraphed pass intended for Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Moments earlier, Boller had hit Heyward-Bey for a 21-yard gain and scrambled 19 yards to the Chiefs 36 as the Raiders threatened for the first time since Michael Bush got stuffed on a fourth-and-1 play off a direct snap.

The Raiders had five penalties and four three-and-out possessions to go with three interceptions by Boller.

Darren McFadden missed much of the first half with an undiscclosed injury.

The half ended with safety Chinedum Ndukwe interception a desperation pass at the 1-yard line and the Raiders (or Boller) being booed off the field.

suddenly we are a piece of garbage team….

  • davidon

Game over…would not put Palmer in now..put Pryor in and let him get experience

  • http://raiders.com Albert Bigelow Paine

    Absolute garbage.

  • RaiderGator

Hue’s getting a swelled head, thinks he’s clever, thinks he’s playing the media, thinks he’s all that calling plays.
gotta settle down, and play solid football, not gimick

  • ArtilleryShell

Mitchell has to somehow cover both cutback lanes, he just stayed in the wash and couldn’t even see what was coming.

  • SilverAndBlackBleeder

We can still win this game fellas. We HAVE to score on this drive though

  • olinesux

Exactly hue is playing with house money…he has no one to answer to….

  • raidermigraine

Think Palmer is regretting the trade and pay cut now?

  • GForce21

Shows what Campbell and McFadden meant to the offense.

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

Boller should be cut after this game. I would go re-sign Charlie Frye

This is what hue tried to do with a 245 pound slow rb….

    ——————————————————
No i think you are mistaken here, hes 265 pound slow rb.

  • aig-raiders

dont know if Palmer here is a good idea. But whatever.

  • http://raiders.com Albert Bigelow Paine

Can’t keep Boller in. Pryor isn’t ready. Palmer isn’t ready. Dmac is injured. We need a miracle. Where is Tebow when you need him?

  • RaiderDebo

Anybody still think this team is so great we don’t need any early picks the next two year? Some people on this board are delusional about this roster. I don’t care how “young” this team is. Could use upgrades at several positions.

  • BabySlash

Leave BOLLER in and let him taste defeat….no reason to risk Palmer.

  • ArtilleryShell

here we go will this be history

  • Pretty Rick

Good,,,wait until we’re down 21 and then put Palmer in. Great!

  • Mum-O-killowe

    Pull Palmer now.

  • big pep

here he comes, wish him luck..

  • Surge92

    About time!

  • BabySlash

    Hue is delusional

  • GForce21

Not a good start, Hali already at Palmers knee

  • PlunkforHOF

    Spark?

  • big pep

oh schty no, that mother is hurt.

  • morilla

Man, Bush just seems slow hitting holes.

  • BabySlash

Carson almost blew out his knee on the first play…great Hue.

  • RaidersMom

Good luck Carson and God be with you!

  • davidon

Christ don;t let him get to his knee!

  • RaidersMom

    Yes !!!!

  • raidermigraine

Oh God. Carson, don’t get hurt!

  • Surge92

If anything, putting Palmer in there at least energizes the offense.

  • http://Raiders.com RaiderTW

I saw this…. On a Monday night, 2nd half Raiders comeback 31 pnts with Shannny coaching.

  • Dhidee99

    YOU MUST BELIEVE!!!!!!

  • SilverAndBlackBleeder

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • SilverAndBlackBleeder

    Killin’ me!!!!!

  • Dhidee99

21-28 RAIDERS :-) THIS IS SOME GOOD KOOL-AID

  • ArtilleryShell

See, he got tweaked by Hali. Pretty scary. At least Pryor can scramble, and they probably are about even in terms of knowing the Raiders playbook

  • JT

    Battle keeps those legs moving

    a 6 yard gain!

  • ArtilleryShell

Do our DB’s ever look back for the ball?

  • ArtilleryShell

Those guys better block their AZZEs off for Palmer, even if they have to hold, don’t let him get hurt/touched. Who is our O-line leader?

Boller should be cut after this game. I would go re-sign Charlie Frye

    ——————–

I agree. Frye was far more capable.

  • ArtilleryShell

I would just let Pryor scramble and look to score on broken plays outside the pocket, and let him run if he doesn’t see what he likes.

  • ArtilleryShell

I liked Frye better, too, but he did regress this offseason. Trent Edwards at least didn’t throw ints

  • ArtilleryShell

That’s the kind of hittin I’m talking about Mitchell just clocked Battle

But how does Mccluster break a tackle

  • Surge92

    Yes! INT!

  • ArtilleryShell

Maybe the goal is to just get the team to be excited again about the prospects for the future. You can see why Hue had to do something, given Boller was his backup.

  • ArtilleryShell

Yeah, DVD had running room, too
