Case in point – Bresnahan elects to put Joe Porter on single man-to-man coverage on Wes Walker and he gets beaten to a 9-158yd performance and then he cuts the guy the next week. Your game plan was to put a barely used DB on the best slot receiver in the NFL, give him no help and then cut him because he couldn’t keep up? Bresnacrap is out-coached and is out of his league. He is an Al Davis re-tread and I don’t doubt that he will be gone in the off-season. Too late to change DC now.

I understand the stats, they say one thing, the game says another. I can understand the penalties, those do hurt the defensive effort, but look at the leads they have blown and how many games they have to hang on just to win. Do you think a veteran QB loses that game yesterday? Ponder made *rookie* mistakes yesterday that cost his team. That team yesterday should’ve never had a chance to be in the game had the defense held. Instead, the offense makes changes from the first half to the second and the Defense does the same thing and ends up gripping at the end. No defensive adjustments. KC, Denver, Buffalo, Cleveland, Vikings, all made changes and scored effortlessly while Bresnahan sits on the side lines looking like Art Shell. If you can shut down a team to 10 points or less in the first half, why are they doubling their scoring in the second half?

Jackson upset by officials’ treatment of Raiders
“I understand that I am a rookie coach and maybe I don’t get all the calls,” he said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “But there is no way some of the things that happened should happen.

“Sometimes I would get talked to as if they didn’t know what I was asking. I just don’t think it was fair. I asked several times for explanations and wouldn’t get them. … We can’t get the ref over here when there is a break in the action, but he is over there on the other bench having conversations with them. I have a hard time with that.”

A couple of calls Jackson might have been angry about Sunday included personal foul flags on Tommy Kelly and Aaron Curry, as well as a situation where the officials had to change a fourth down to a third down for the Vikings because of an oversight that occurred two plays earlier on the drive.

Jackson says he’ll call the league about the matter today.

“I want us to have the same opportunity that everyone else has in this league,” Jackson said.

Or, at the very least, he just wants somebody to listen.

I think you nailed it there. No reason to even get mad at the guy since he probably hasn’t even put an ounce of thought into what he says. He’s just up there stylin’ and profilin,’ as the kids say (or at least, as they did in 1991).
