There are alot of good running backs in the league but only a couple of game changers. MCFADDEN is a game changer so you just got to take the bad with the good. When he finally gets healthy he'll be back to dominate>
RAIDERS!!!!!

trade dmc? stupidity defined.
=======================================

Someone was bringing up the buy low sell high mentality with regards to Dmac. In other words his value may never be higher than it is right now. Problem with that logic is we paid an overall number 4 for him. Is anyone going to give us HIGHER than that? Like, Indy is going to give us their overall number one, Peyton Manning, Dwight Freeny AND next years lst rounder?? Not likely. Bill Polian is running their drafts not Mike Ditka.

One thing about McFadden I see none of you seem to mention is how he brings a mean physicality out there that our team sorely needs. McFadden is not above getting into scraps with the opponents, he is a devastating blocker and a hard physical runner. None of that shows up on a stat sheet. When you are trying to build a physical mean team, how much is that worth?

====================

Its worth a lot - but when that physicality is mixed with a durability issue, it negates DMC's value to the team. You can't be built like Fred Jackson, but run like Adrian Peterson. He has to realize his value and protect himself. His value would never be higher, and if we send him to an NFC team, say the Dallas Cowboys, what value do we get back? How about to Jacksonville? what value of packages could we get (maybe...Maurice Jones-Drew straight up? or a package of picks -) what could we get in the draft...could a number of players that have to learn the system, start and contribute right away replace a guy who is a touchdown every time he plays?

Its a risk-reward situation, and we don't have a GM in place yet. We have to figure that part first.

Mathieu is only a sophmore, I don't think he's coming out this year. And if he is good for him, he's gonna have a long career.

Hum.....
James Harrison was Undrafted
Tommy Kelly Undrafted
Arian Foster Undrafted
Kurt Warner was undrafted
Wes Welker undrafted
Antonio Gates was undrafted
Tom Brady was a 6th round pick
So you can find some gems at lower rounds or not being drafted at all.
So Tom Brady has 4 superbowl Wins, and Carson Palmer was the 1st overall pick and has 0 superbowls. Both have been injured. Should we get rid of him because you can always find replacements at lower round in the draft (just as an example, you can do this for every position).
