McFadden, Ford, Seymour and McClain not practicing

By Steve Corkran
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 at 11:35 am in Oakland Raiders.

Wide receiver Denarius Moore returned to practice today after missing all of last week, as well as the game against the Chicago Bears.
The news isn’t as encourgaing for running back Darren McFadden (foot), receiver Jacoby Ford (foot), running back Taiwan Jones (hamstring), defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee) and middle linebacker Rolando McClain (foot). All five are not at practice.
However, Ford is at least on the field, running from one side of the end zone to the other. He said Monday that he didn’t plan on practicing today but might give it a shot Thursday.
Fullbacks Marcel Reece and Mansae Tonga are practicing without any obvious effects from recent injuries. That gives the Raiders the prospect of having both fullbacks at full strength for the first time in awhile.
Even though Moore is back at practice, T.J. Houshmandzadeh is the one fielding punts. That likely is just in case Moore suffers a setback this week or aggravates his injury Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Three officials are working practice today, as has been the custom all season. The Raiders committed only six penalties for 44 yards against the Bears on Sunday.
The Raiders still are on pace to break the NFL record for most penalties (158) and penalty yards (1,304) in a season.
Cornerback Chimdi Chekwa posted on Twitter today that he is going to get his shoulder fixed once and for all. He supposedly was placed on injured reserve because of a lingering hamstring issue. Perhaps he is just addressing the shoulder issue as long as he has the time.

Everybody says we have been lucky, but what about the other teams we have faced, and everybody said that if cuntler played we would have lost. Well what about DMAC, FORD, MOORE, CJ, a 100% SEYMOUR cause i think he played only on 3rd downs. They were lucky they lost by 5 points.

    Very –

I like how DHB has found his niche, hes strong after the catch too.. that long ball stuff wasnt for him.
Unlike Mike wallace, or should i say D.MOOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • baumraiders

I love DHB but maaaan, i get so nervous when the ball goes his way because he lets the ball hits his chest, it just doesn’t come natural to him

That’s the hypocrisy in the NFL. When we are injured or missing key players and lose a a game it’s because the other team was so much better than us.

When We win, it is because the other team was injured or didn’t play up to their potential.

It will always be Us against the World, and that’s why

“There are 31 teams in the NFL, and then there are the Oakland Raiders.”

  • JLofty

    I say close game, Raiders 24 – Fins 20.
We have yet to play a complete game and certainly JLofty would love a laugher, but I’ve watched Miami play a few games this year and they are not terrible and that Moore kid can play QB.

  • Blackmamba_20

    lol nice

Yep, I despise the Donkeys… Hate Orange and Blue…

  • baumraiders

    Tebowmania my ass.

Everybody has an opinion but can the analysts at least watch the games and see he is just averaging like 17 point a game the last 3 games. That defense is really good

F the Broncos. But considering all the injuries we have had on both sides of the ball, let’s see how good the Mules really are! If they are really good, they will not miss a beat. Next Man Up!

  • Blackmamba_20

Yeah Matt Moore was in a bad position with the Panthers who were pretty darn horrible at the time.

He has shown to have a lot of throws in his repertoire

i think we are going to run up some points, its what we hold them too that im unsure of.

  • fingers

Exactly…. Denvers winning with Defense…. That defense wasn’t playing like that. When Orton was behind center…. I’m still not sold on Tebow… Fk him

  • baumraiders

The only thing i´m a little afraid right now for the game is JAKE LONG, we need to get pressure from the blind side, even if a QB is bad or average, if he has all the time in the world to throw, he will have a big day

  • HayesDaze37

    It’s a great day to be a First-Place Raiders fan. Isn’t it?!

The Raiders would be foolish to think Miami is anything less than a dangerous opponent. Lately, Miami’s been playing much better football than how they started the year, and they do have a few weapons.

Our record vs the run leaves me worried that Reggie Bush could end up doing a Ladanian Tomlinson impersonation…and we all know how LT looked playing the Raiders.

“Recent” Raiders teams have a history of letting-down their play, just when they should be stepping-up to an elite level and taking positive control of their own destiny. Now more than ever, the “Build-a-Bully” theme needs to come into play.

The Raiders should dominate the Dolphins, and start to churn their way into the Playoffs — it’s time to become a dominant team. Some good tests coming up…and a Green Bay Super Bowl preview is actually a possibility. The Raiders match up to Green Bay favorably, too. Churn and burn, baby.

  • fingers

The Raiders are by far the most talented Afc west team..

  • baumraiders

And they say TEBOW is one of the reason that defense is playing like that….with his speeches? or with not turning the ball over? well maybe, but don’t you think the defense would like to have a little more support from their O.

  • raiderinparadise

Von Miller & the D is Tebowmania, they hold teams to like 17-20 points and allow the game to be close for Tim to win.

Hopefully Vikings can score more than 21 and they will win.

By ARNIE STAPLETON, AP Pro Football Writer

“Denver Broncos rookie pass-rusher Von Miller(notes) underwent a surgical procedure to repair a strained ligament in his left thumb and missed Wednesday’s practice. Miller is expected to play Sunday at Minnesota, however.”
    _________________________________________________________

This is what I saw. Any other report to indicate that Von Miller is gonna miss some games?

  • fingers

When I first heard Tebow speak I thought the sound was messed up on my system… The guys talks like a mouse …

  • baumraiders

Hayez, i think our problem against the run is because we have 2 penetrating DT and the biggest runs start in the middle, which Reggie Bush is not good at, not afraid of outside runs from my perspective which maybe Im wrong. If you disagree with me its fine

  • baumraiders

Oh and our MLB hasn’t been able to enter BEAST MODE against the run

  • davidon

The Denver post says Miller may Miss some games…. But Miller has vowed to play….
Willis MaGahee has his ankle heavily wrapped ” sprang ankle”..

  • Blackmamba_20

Willis Mcgehee said it best when interviewd,

that its not tebow 5-1 its us, the team, where a team, its a team sport, tim, me , the d everyone is the reason we are 6-5 now, not just him..

  • fingers

The Donkeys just got healthy and now it apperas they are having injury issues again…
    Too Bad for them….

  • HayesDaze37

Baum — Let’s not say rushing, per se…let’s just say I don’t like the threat of an all-around (running/receiving) RB like Reggie Bush. He’s the kind we can hold for 30-yards on 11-carries, then let him bust a 70-yard sweep or swing pass.

The Raiders have a way of letting guys have the biggest days in their respective careers…it’s time to stop that…because great teams don’t let it happen.

I agree, but I think R Bush strength is the screen game, which we are good at, and i just think if he has a good game it will be like 15 carries for 50 yards and 3 passes for 50 yds and a TD. If he has a game like this we will win easily IMO. If he has like 8 Rec for 120 and more than 20 carries, i think we are in trouble but i don’t think it will be like that.

The liberal Dem machine has engrained into this generation that a woman and child dont need a father around they can doit alone with the help of govt assistance. They poke fun at “family values”.
    ================================================

Actually, I think women of this generation have looked at men like Jamista Clown and realized they would be MUCH better off economically, socially, and ethically if they just raised kids by themselves. Which is really sad, but true. But after reading Jamista’s comments for awhile, you certainly can’t blame them for wanting to go it alone.

  • baumraiders

Im more afraid of Jake F Long, i hope we can get pressure on Matt Moore
