McFadden and other key players not practicing

By Steve Corkran
Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at 10:59 am in Oakland Raiders.

The early signs of the Raiders getting back running back Darren McFadden and any of their other injured key players aren’t looking good, based on the first day of practice in preparation for the undefeated Green Bay Packers.
Running backs Darren McFadden (foot) and Taiwan Jones (hamstring), wide receivers Jacoby Ford (foot), Denarius Moore (foot) and Chaz Schilens (foot) and defensive John Henderson (knee) aren’t practicing today.
Jones, Ford and Moore on Monday said they were hopeful of being able to practice this week. However, it appears as if their injuries aren’t healing as well as expected or hoped.
There’s still plenty of time for them to get back into the swing of things before Sunday’s game. The same can’t be said for McFadden, who hasn’t done any football-related activitives since he suffered a mid-foot sprain Oct. 23.
At this point, it’s almost inconceivable to envision McFadden playing Sunday. It’s likely that the Raiders are targeting the Detroit Lions game Dec. 18 for McFadden’s return.
Coach Hue Jackson said Monday that he doesn’t expect McFadden to miss the rest of the regular season. The fact that he didn’t rule it out has to pass as a major concern.
On the bright side for the Raiders, defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee), middle linebacker Rolando McClain (foot) and tight end Kevin Boss (hip) are practicing.
Quarterback Jason Campbell was expected back in early December. That hasn’t come to pass yet. Campbell still hasn’t been cleared to practice, more than seven weeks after he suffered a broken right (throwing arm) collarbone and underwent surgery.
The Raiders waived tight end Kevin Brock and linebacker Jeremy Leman from their practice squad. They signed running back Lonyae Miller and linebacker Carl Ihenacho to take the place of Brock and Leman on the practice squad. Miller and Ihenacho are practicing today.

Remember what Leonardo DiCaprio said in Gangs of New York?….” When you kill a King, you dont do it in the dark….no. You do it where everyone can see it!” Raiders are going to kill a King on sunday and whole NFL will know and respect our authoritah!

No one was asking me about team’s mental state when we won three in a row – Jackson

    ***

McClain wasn’t arrested until AFTER the 3 wins, idiot.

Regardless of what anybody says, your defensive QB, Captain & Leader gets into trouble with the law? that’s a distraction. infects the locker room & morale. makes Hue look bad for preaching no-nonsense and playing the guy anyways

  • raiderinparadise

    @ AIG …

    Yeah just read that too…

    Unreal.

There only a small window of oppurtunity to win this game.

It will be primarily on the o-line and run game (Bush, Reece) having long drives and success.

If not, Chaz will have to go ape-sh&t for like 175 recieveing and 2 TD’s.

  • fingers

It’s time that front 4 started earning that bigtime paycheck…
Attack the Packer Oline like Raiders…..Seymour.. No stupid penalties..

  • RaiderReggie

We must keep it on the ground and be patient. On the first drive if the run does not work do it again on the second drive. Hue got to be patient!! Don’t get in a shoot out with Green Bay. If he do, we will get blown out. Put down that play calling card Hue and manage the game from the sidelines, like Mike Tomlin, Bill Belechick, John Harbaugh, Jim Harbaugh and many more good head coaches in the NFL that does not call plays.

Thec is pretty solid with predictions, but also loves to pour & serve the Kool-Aid.

hey Thec, what Raiders are gonna step up and make this a win for OAK?

  • Method To My Madness

We beaten the odds since the summer. Some folks on this blog saiid due to loss of Cable,Nnamdi,Gallery and Miller that we would take a step back. Look at us now….we still here! still fkin here and aint going nowhere anytime soon!

  • aig-raiders

    @RaiderinParadise,

IMO, it’s all about controlling the LOS. If we are able to run on them and get to Rodgers, we have a very good shot.

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

I agree with the need to run the Ball and keep Rodgers off the field.

But Michael Bush is a back who gets better with more carries in the 2nd half. It could be over by then.

  • RaiderReggie

We need to run the ball right at Green Bay defensive line and soften them up. Carson can then throw short safe passes to move the chains. Keep Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines.

    paradise,

there is a good chance Chaz doesn’t even suit up for this game. If a Raider WR goes bananas, it’ll have to be King Darrius, Murphy or Housh … but some help from Boss, Myers & Reece will be needed to avoid double teams imo

  • Blackmamba_20

Can we have a Lamar Houston Sighting

Can Wimbley Get back in the sack game.

    Routt nab’s a pick.

    Bush to go Beast Mode

DHB Multiple, i say Multiple Touchdowns.

  • Method To My Madness

DIRT LOT….no one said anything about being hapy about a loss….Miami game is over and done with. The B@uce has been saying we will win….what are the doubters saying will happen Sunday? Those are the real losers already predicitng a loss

  • RaiderRockstar

Ryan Pickett & BJ Raji are tough.

Wiz II, Satele & Carlisle are gonna have to bring their ‘A’ games if we run the ball at will against that defensive front seven!

  • RaiderRockstar

back 2 work – later gents!

  • Method To My Madness

If Chaz is out then Hue needs to start Tonga and have Reece be the other WR with Murphy,Housh and DHB

  • Method To My Madness

Kam Wimbley needs to be at RDE alot this game. Hopefully big John is ready to play. I’ll expect GB to try and pound the rock more than normal

  • DMAC

    B,

We need to pound the rock w/ Bush and The Tonganator and we’re going to win this one.

  • fingers

Don’t let Rodgers get in a groove… The Raiders need long slow drives…
And our pass Rush needs to play like wildmen( Raiders)

RRS….its a shame Satele even gets to play in this game….Wiz gives us a better shot….but Sammmy better eat his Wheaties and Chunky soup. His career is on the line

We’ve got to do WHATEVER it takes to win this game,
someone has got to make a play or two and get this team rolling…

Wiz shows why he SHOULD be ROY.

    Raiders go to war.

Did you order the Code Black?

  • Method To My Madness

DMAC somehow someway we will get this done. GB gives up alot of big plays on defense. We have shown ability all year to move the ball but TDs not hella FGs are vital

  • DMAC

I’m busy as hell at work.

  • THE COUNCIL OF NINE

Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if we won this game but we’ll have to have all our troops to do it.

Another thing is GB is last in the NFL in penalties commited they almost play a flawless game every sunday.

If our MIB dont come out looking for blood somethings wrong.

  • Method To My Madness

Elkster….you right about that….I say start Kam at RDE Hendu at NT Kelly UT with Bryant and houston alternating from LDE to UT….Curry and RoMac at LBs with MM34 as our base D

Sounds good, but it’s just talk. Who’s even going to return kicks & punts???????

  • Just Fire Baby

Bigger game is the Detroit game.

I can see us losing and the Donk show winning this weekend, but if we can bag the Lions game I think the Donks will lose that week to the Pats.

We will be tied at 8-6, have a chance at both the division and wild card, and most importantly coming off a win going into the last two weeks.
