Miami on the other hand from the opening whistle looked confident, energized and ready to play. If I did not know the records and just flipped on the tv I would’ve guessed the records were reversed and it was Miami who had everything to play for.

Raiders should have come out with the attitude of “we’re 7-4. You are 3-8. We’re the Raiders and we’re gonna beat your azz”. Instead, they looked scared and confused which I just don’t understand.

I wonder if this team really does believe in itself or they feel deep down they’ve just been lucky or whatever.

Why the heck be scared playing Miami and play like you have zero confidence?

I don’t get that at all, and am sick of seeing that kind of letdown.

Because the Raiders still have a share of the AFC West lead, it’s easy to overlook just how many disasters the team has had to overcome to get to 7-5.

- The loss of Nnamdi, Gallery and Miller.
- The death of Al Davis
- Serious injuries to the ALL the offensive skill positions
- Season ending injury for Shaughnessy
- Injuries to
- 1st year with a new head coach
- Lag time for Palmer to get in shape/learn the offense

and lest we forget . . .

- Truncated offseason

I think that it’s remarkable that they’ve done as well as they have. Seems newsworthy, in fact. But the media would rather talk about Tebow.

Anyway, given all they’ve faced this year, the team has overachieved, and it seems inevitible that the loss of ALL the starters at the skill positions would catch up to them.

Yeah I saw the big Oaf… Its one thing to be a tough guy and suck it up for the team, but its another to come back in when youre not 100% and f@ck things up for the rest of the team… If he didnt have the fast young receivers to bail his a$$ out with YAC, he wouldve looked pretty stupid limping back into the game. Charlie Batch is a serviceable back-up, Ben just wanted everyone to say how tough he is… Did you see him limping up and down the sideline where nobody else was standing, just so the crowd could see him limp??
