McFadden not at practice; Ford, Moore giving it a go

Running back Darren McFadden is not practicing today and likely won’t be able to play Sunday. The same can’t be said of wide receivers Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford.
Yet.
Ford and Moore are working out under the watchful eyes of two team athletic trainers, running short sprints and going through an assortment of drills.
It’s not much, but it’s far more than either has been able to do in recent weeks. Ford has been out with a foot injury since Dec. 10, when he suffered an injury against the San Diego Chargers. Moore suffered his foot injury 10 days later on a punt return against the Minnesota Vikings.
It’s still difficult to envision Ford and Moore playing Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, given they will have missed all three practices this week.
Just the same, the fact they are running around four hours before the team boards a plane for Green Bay portends there being a chance.
Running back Taiwan Jones (hamstring) and defensive tackle John Henderson (knee) also aren’t practicing. Jones certainly won’t play Sunday. Henderson has a realistic shot because he was able to practice Thursday.
Bryan McCannn is fielding punts and kicks in practice. It’s possible that he will be called upon to handle both jobs if Moore and Ford can’t play. Moore is the regular punt returner, Ford the No. 1 kick returner.

QB and WR are two totally different positions. A QB can literally walk on the field the entire time of possesion, a WR cannot.

I agree, assuming we can run the ball this week. Packers run D is sub-par. Grind the clock. Keep it away from Rodgers. Set up the play-action and pick up some chunks there.
Our pass D is among the best in the league in terms of completion pct allowed and yards per attempts.Plus we’re near the top in sacks. Capable of holding Rodgers to human numbers (250 and 2 TDs or so). Meanwhile, Run D is our biggest weakness. Packers ground game is just OK.

Why would a REAL Raider fan believe that Carson Palmer can save our hopes of making the playoffs?
Before Palmer, we were comfortably in the playoffs. Thanks to his “Carson Palmer” playing, which is what he did in Cinncinatti, our hopes of being in the playoffs, is only a dream.
PUT IN PRYOR.
He may or may not be the future quarterback of our team, but in the mean time, he needs to be given a chance with some reps.
Jason Campbell may be our starter for 2012, but in the meantime, give Pryor the reps.
