Hue is not going anywhere, anyone with a brain can see that but he is approaching Cable territory (8-8) and he will ride Palmer all the way next year.

You can bet that come September Hue will be selling us on how Palmer is ready for prime time after a camp with his healthy WR’s…..

By compare…Lets say Bob Kraft died. Tom Brady breaks a collar bone and OUT. WR Wes Welker with a Lisfranc and hes OUT. WR DeIon Branch OUT, RDE Andre Carter, shoulder injury OUT. CB Devin McCourty OUT. Head Coach whats his cheating face replaced by a ROOKIE.
You think the Patriots would still have a shot at the play offs?

    70. Dude, we have a serious troll infestation. Mostly its one psychopath under many, many names but he reveals himself over and over.

Just ignore the negative, ridiculous and enjoy the REAL discussions. Raiders, political, basketball or what ever.

Honestly, this is the best, nost active NFL blog ANYWHERE.

Iggy the creepy losers trolling for abuse. *shudder*

  10. No Mas Diamante Says:

jmmclain – don’t confuse us true fans with the numerous pos trolls that frequent this site. Just take a look at the list of prdicted scores for yesterdays game. (65 of them picked the raiders to win, including me…
You also have to agree that we are allowed a certain degree of frustration with the way things are going right now. The season is on the line.

  11. Nnamdi21 Says:

What no one has said is this: Sorry Darren McFadden. Sorry you got injured. That sucks!!!

You were on your way to one of the best seasons any Raider RB has ever had.

Just get better and have a long healthy productive career.

And uh, win us a Super Bowl while you’re at it yeah? :)

  12. Nnamdi21 Says:

Here are records of some of the best coaches to ever do it in their first season as head coach.

    5-7-2 Hank Stram
    3-6 Mike Ditka

    7-6 Hue Jackson

According to Seymour Bush Glenn – R Seymour has been a stud all season long.
    ==========================================

Pro football Focus listed Seymour as mid season All Pro. His team has him as a captain and NFL people have raved about his play until very recently since he has been hurt. So, we can either believe you, or NFL people and others than make their living dealing with the NFL. Since you are a known Grade A imbecile, I have to go with the latter.

Good point SB ! He was given a decent team , all those coaches had doo doo to start with …

  23. silverback Says:

The idea of McFadden having permanent damage to his foot is quite unsettling. Man this seasons has more up and downs than any I can remember. I guess the only consistent thing is the defense is not good. So much promise in those early games only to dissolve into mediocrity or worse.

Romo is right football is about blocking and tackling. The Raiders are too damn dumb to play smart, let alone compete.

  35. kidseven Says:

I swear to God if I see another Raiders defender making a big to-do and peacocking around after a simple tackle–after they’ve already let the other team take over the game–I just might smash the television. Hue needs to make that rule number one: stop celebrating when you haven’t done sh*t.

Jacoby Fords lackadaisical attitude about playing on Sunday.

  37. 89052RAIDER Says:

We don’t have one player with close to the stones of a Romanowski. We need a GM that demands smart tough play on the field. The Raiders are effed with this current HC and roster.

I wonder if DMac has a full season in him, it doesn’t appear that the guy’s feet can take the beating an NFL running back endures.

    ============================================

Really Mitchell and McClain have to go. Go find the Ryan Grant run on NFL.com and you will see exactly what I am talking about. And they do that 60 snaps a game. Wimbley is not a run stopping OLB, and since Shaughnessy has gone out, we have been getting further and further into trouble. There has been a carousel trying to fill that DE spot. The 2ndary has played surprisingly well tho.

I agree with the other stuff you said, Seymour, but I’d have to disagree with the above. I think the secondary is abysmal. Branch is the only one playing reasonably well.

    ***********

hahahhaha yeah the Texans Guard played the game with a broken leg to get the win in the 4th to clinch a playoff spot.

while ford, moore, taiwan and mcfadden …. watch back to back blowouts and seemingly dont care to go against doctors and puch themselves to see th efield to help.

Ford would rather wear his airmax nikes and shoot the shiz with Pryor in the sidelines.

  45. Silverandblack666 Says:

    “So, what are you saying?”

That we have enough talent on this team that even a bumbling idiot like Cable could get us to 8-8

Hue Jackson is supposed to be better than Cable and should have got us at least 2 more wins.

THAT is WHAT i am SAYING!

  46. kidseven Says:

Ford seems like a gamer to me. He appears to love the challenge—USUALLY comes up big in the clutch, etc. so I’d be surprised if he didn’t come back as soon as possible. DMAC also seems to love the game, so I’m guessing he’s simply too fragile. I don’t know about the other guys. I do know the Raiders can’t afford any missing pieces because, clearly, they aren’t very good.

The problem for the raiders now is that most of the money is now being spent on the defense. It is incredible that you have Huff, Kelly, Wimbley, Routt, Seymour, McLain, Johnson, Curry making a ton of money and they don’t play up to the salaries.

    ^^^^^^^
The main problem is we have a chitty D coordinator leading them also! Ugh

Get Steve Spagnolo in here as the new DC after the season and have him work his magic with Waufle again!

Comparing a QB to a RB??

Another dumb thing said on this blog!

  53. 2romes Says:

As I stated in past since we lost McFadden Hue should have been introducing a faster shiftier running back to compliment Bush. Bush is a workhorse and very much needed in the backfield but there is nothing like a quick strike in the ground game. GB had not had a ground game like that in a while but when the line open up the back bolted through for a TD. While running Bush for past few games Bush should have gotten plays to throw the ball to keep the defense from teeing off on him.

  54. Silverandblack666 Says:

“Ford would rather wear his airmax nikes and shoot the shiz with Pryor in the sidelines.”

Don’t get me started about today’s athlete…all this money is watering down the game. You couldn’t pull a guy out of a game in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s but today’s player taps out often.

Jesus (if that is your real name),

You must be smoking crack if you think we can’t beat the Chargers! Dude, we beat them twice last year and once already this year. WE DOMINATE THEM! We play them mean and they fold up like cheap lawn chairs. The chargers are scared to death of the Raiders, you should know this since you post in this blog. The chargers don’t want to play us. Are you by chance MR or whatever the last worn out moniker you used was?

You are exactly right. If not for a couple of really lucky game saving plays, this season could have ended 4-12. And probably should have. I always preach improvement, and if anyone can see ANY improvement over the last four weeks I would like to know about it. Lastly with all the injuries, other guys are supposed to step up. Someone mentioned the Patriots and Brady. If anyone remembers, Bledsoe got injured and the Patriots had to turn everything over to some 6th round scrub named Tom Brady.

Now Hue is working without the best player on the team, two of its playmakers missing at wr, a tougher schedule, and a brand new quarterback but his season is supposed to be judged the exact same way as last season….right…

I guess we must have watched different Raiders teams last year…

Good to see we have some great team players.

  72. 8RaiderReign8 Says:

  73. Seymour Bush Says:

    ========================================

Cable also took over a team in complete absolute utter disarray. Cable took over A team that had not had more than 5 wins in a season in 9 years. Cable was saddled with a complete rookie set of WR’s and Jabustus. The team Jackson took over was used to winning games and had MUCH BETTER personnel. Injuries are an excuse.

  74. raiderjhawk Says:

Palmer needs some reliable WR’s, Chaz, Housh, DHB and Murphy ain’t those guys. Sorry, that’s why we need Ford and Moore.

  77. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

Folks….DMAC has averaged NINE carries a game and dropping every week. The guy was hurt in camp…the guy gets hurt a lot. Not because he is not tough…but because he has a foot injury and that is a place that is hard to heal 100%. Ask Chaz. His absence is NO EXCUSE for this mess.

So is DHB a bust? Our number 1 receiver has been playing the entire time and you all treat that like its bullsh&t. The m’fn starter!

Jacoby Ford has been out MOST of the year so he wasn’t a factor much. Denarious Moore? Sure he is a key target, but this team should have had the horses with Louis Murphy, Schilens and DHB to be able to get by.

That’s the point. Injuries are a reality for EVERY TEAM. No team does not have injuries.

Now do you understand? You have a raggedy defense that can’t stop the run which means they can’t get off the field…..time consuming punishing drives.

Your money guys have let you down:

Seymour, Wimbley, Kelly and Routt. Only 1 truly difference making game all year among the lot of them…and that was Wimbley’s multi-sack/pressure performance against an injury riddled San Diego defense.

Had the players with bloated contracts each stepped it up in just 1 more game, this is a different situation….but instead just failure after failure after failure.

Sure the scheme is terrible, but damn,..can a guy just beat his man and make a play…stop getting pushed around and being a non-factor.

The Dischargers have lost a ton of their offensive linemen, Gates didn’t play the lst 7 games, Bob Sanders was supposed to be their SS he didn’t get to Game 3, and they are in the hunt making a move. You are making excuses for next year.

He also benched Campbell for poor play. Cable won 3 of his last five and had the lead in the 3rd quarter against Manning and Indy in one of those two losses. In other words the team played hard at the end. Do you really see that happening here? That last game was one of the most unprofessional displays I have EVER witnessed on a football field. All I am looking for is beating K.C and a legit effort against Detroit and San Diego.

If he can’t do that….he needs to go.

Lefty, your post is pure trash. I care about the team, and i have had a legit concern about the replacement qb, that have been proving true.

i know the golden hair hero is who you favor but that doesnt mean he cant be questioned. The reason i am compelled to bring it up, is because as soon as we signed palmer i noted concerns and you along with everyone else said palmer was not only better than the guy he replaced, but “elite”.

this left me no choice but to expose this fraudulent claim as nothing more than fantasy. Just like when the y benched the qb for grad i was compelled to voice my concern.

The best qb on the roster should be the starter, im not even sure palmer is better than boller or pryor at this point in his career.

This year the team has been turned over to palmer due to injury, but we didnt have to make that move and saddle ourselves with this washed up never was quick to quit bungle.

I know you jumped for joy at the prospect of palmer being here, but like i told you from the start, he is garbage and not better than what we already have.

As long as JC is here i will always advocate him being the starter when healthy until someone out performs him on the field. Why? because the best players should play, so that the team has a chance to win.

being critical of a player doesnt mean you are not supporting the team.

You can whack of to palmer posters all you want, it doesnt change facts.

he hasnt even sniffed the level of our starter, he hasnt earned a starting gig for next year, and he is lousing it up with so many turn overs he could Pillsbury out of business.

Exactly. And if the defense is not playing up to par, as HEAD COACH, your JOB is to go over to that side of the ball and get things fixed. Of coarse not but raiders are my team and there is hate read some posts the last few weeks I’m not making it up. Ya I was really upset yesterday but I’m not blaming just one person on this team. I’m a firm believer in the offensive and defensive lines being the key to winning football games. If those two don’t work you will lose games and IMO that’s why we’re losing games. The hate around here is blaming the wrong people plain and simple. We are who we are it takes time to turn this team around from the last 11 yrs. if you people want it to happen over night it will not. You seriously think we could beat the packers are go to the superbowl, I didn’t. I just keep it real no reason to hate on me.

Exactly. He runs end arounds that the defenses are now completly waiting for. Yesterday he did the fake punt. Honestly, I loved the call. We were down 31-0. Why the fook not? The problem with that call is you do NOT have the punter heave the rock. You do not do that! It is coaching 101. He did it once and it worked, but notice when coaches that know what they are doing call a fake, the back up Q might throw a pass. Not the punter. Or a kicker for that matter. I am a high school and semi-pro referee and I think I can give you a good reason why the clipping foul was allowed to stand even though the play was cancelled. By rule, personal fouls can be either a live ball or dead ball foul. Since clipping is a personal foul in the NFL, it can be called in both instances. So it does not matter the status of the ball (live or dead), the foul is called in all cases.

I’ve bashed everyone there is to bashed, ripped them good including the bulk of the subpar moron dummies who second as “players”, Hue Jack, Chuckie, etc…etc.

However, the real blame runs to the skipper, stank AL, who should have been run out of the league after 1983, last time we won the SuperBowl, once he figured out it was easier to make money winning lawsuits than football games.

The “back to Oakland” years were horrific, as stank AL sunk into dementia, alzheimers, had oozing pus sores on his face, while he was honored and adored for being the “Coach”, “Genius” etc. Maybe such monikers suited Stank at one time, but Stank went way past his time. The one bright moment came under Gruden’s command but AL couldn’t deal with Gruden (and ran him off), and knew positively that he, Stank AL, was the “wonderkind”, infallable, and would live forever.

Now we eat the fruit of what AL planted: a bullsh.t shoveling pimp and snake oil salesman for a coach; a recycled, over-the-hill embarassing DC, and the entire roster on which nary a playmaker can be found, except maybe Ford and Moore. What took 28 years in the making cannot be undone in one or even 2 or even 5 seasons. Hopefully, Amy Trask and Mark Davis will realize that Stanky AL in the last 28 was non-creative garbage, and to rid the team of Stank’s taint, the Raiders must be completely blown up, and start anew.

    In the Raiders we trust.
