Wild card off the table for Raiders
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer

The Raiders had the wild card removed as a possibility for making the playoffs following the results of Sunday’s early games.
With the New York Jets losing 19-17 in Miami and Tennessee beating Houston 23-22 the only way Oakland can make the post season is by beating the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City defeating the Broncos in Denver.
By virtue of league tiebreakers, the Raiders needed either a Jets win or a Titans loss in the morning games to remain in the wild card race.
If the Raiders beat San Diego and the Chiefs beat the Broncos, Oakland would win the AFC West because of a superior division record (4-2 to 3-3 for Denver) and host a playoff game against either Baltimore or Pittsburgh next weekend.
Houston was in position to win the game against Tennessee but failed on a two-point conversion with less than 14 seconds to play when the center snap went over the head of quarterback Jake Delhomme.
