Keeping track of Hue Jackson reports from various NFL analysts:

Charley Casserly of The NFL Today on CBS said he spoke with both Jackson and his agent, and that Jackson has not been fired. Casserly said Kennard McGuire, the agent for both Jackson and new general manager Reggie McKenzie, told him McKenzie “planned to come in this week and evaluate the entire organization.”

Jay Glazer of The NFL on Fox reported McKenzie was to meet with Jackson Monday and that it was his feeliing Jackson would remain as head coach.

The Raiders made no announcements Sunday and aren’t expected to say anything until Tuesday, when McKenzie is introduced at a 2 p.m. press conference.

I know some of you guys think that I am MR, Sullivan, or whatever. But, I would not be surprised to find out that MR is really Kawakami.

Canadianraider, Reggie played for the Raiders in the 80s. He also has a twin brother who played for the Redskins.

“John Herrera is symbolic of everything wrong with the old way of doing things, and hopefully he’ll be dispatched sooner rather than later.”

I say have Herrera stab Kawakami with a dirty prison shank in a dark alley then promote Herrera to head of security!

Bottom line Kawakami should be punished!

i just posted this question on S&B pride:

Had Hue not made the trade for Palmer, would we even be considering not retaining him as head coach for another year?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
If Hue didn’t make the trade for Palmer, the Raiders would have lost the games to SD, Minny and Chicago, along with the rest of the games including the 2nd KC game. They would have won only 4 games this season. The team would not have sold out anymore games after that either.

What’s Tim Kawakami supposed to write about, how great the Raiders have been the last 10 years?

    Grow up.

Canadian… You’ll have to make a game sometime just for the tailgate…. We always walk the parking lots aisles before game just to take in the sights … Nothing like it…been to Kc, Denver and San Diego… Nothing better than the Raiders tailgates

  • fingers

I’m ok with the Palmer trade…. Give the guy some consistent recievers and a full camp.. All our RB’s healthy and let’s see what He can do

I’ve been wondering how the players really feel about Hue. It’s hard to tell if Hue lost the whole team or just the Defense, seems like some players did quit on him. It will be interesting to see if McKenzie is the type to take the time and evaluate the staff or come out firing both six shooters.
Some exciting times coming up for Raiders fans.
    ****************************

If Hue lost the defense it was because he didn’t rescue them from Bresnahan. Granted, he couldn’t do anything while Al was still breathing but after the fact he could have done something you would think. Maybe there was just no one on staff that could do any better than Bresnahan. That’s a scary thought and if true, maybe the entire group of Defe4nsive assistants should be canned.

DKnight, and so what if we did lose to SD, Minnesota and Chicago ??? Our wins against them meant nothing: Vickings were 2 and 8, Chicago 2 and 7 when we played them. SD was reeling with Rivers’ downturn in production and injuries to key personnel. These were bottom tier teams: lowest of the low. Beating them was nothing to hang our ego on. When we came up against 2nd and top tier teams we were thoroughly spanked and defeated.

We would have been better off losing more games, gaining more draft picks, and developing Pryor. But noooooo….Hue, with no foundation for his belief had to go off on a tangent pretending we were a playoff tea, when we weren’t even close, and therefore mortgaged out future with the CP trade.

    Fire Hue now !
