Report: Allen signs 4-year contract

By Steve Corkran
Thursday, January 26th, 2012 at 4:42 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Dennis Allen signed a four-year contract to coach the Raiders, according to Kate Longworth of CSN Bay Area.
Allen and Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie reached agreement on a contract Tuesday night in Mobile, Ala., where Allen interviewed for the second time.
The Raiders still have not confirmed the hiring. CSN says the introductory news conference is scheduled for Monday. Given the news conference will be broadcast on CSN, it’s a safe bet to say the Raiders have confirmed it to CSN.
McKenzie returned to Alameda on Wednesday. Allen should be through checking out pro prospects in Mobile today or Friday.
Allen could not be reached for comment. Two Raiders officials said they cannot confirm Allen signing a contract.

Now, on to hiring (or retaining) the coordinators!

    OC: Al Saunders
DC: Richard Smith, Bill Johnson, Todd Bowles or…?
    ST: John Fassel (hopefully)

I know…why post something then say they cannot confirm it? I guess for the good of it, it stopped 1000 posts!

Did it just get STUPIDER in here? Yup, it sure did. JAMISTA CLOWN! So the rich pay more in taxes. Mitch Romney pays more than Seymour Bush. Well, halleluleah!!! Do you not think it is weird that out of $21mm in income, Romney pays only around $3mm in taxes? 14%?? While middle income earners pay almost 50% of theirs when you factor in Fed, State, Local and sales taxes. Oh right, I forgot, math was never your strong subject. Neither was English, writing, logic, political science, history…..

Responding to that degenerate is senseless he is so uneducated its like arguing with a drunk.

No one pays 70% income tax unless you live in England.

50% is the highest tax bracket but yet guys like Romney and warren Buffett pays 16% or whatever it was.

Nixon ended that era and so did Reagan again in the 1950’s that was true tax was that high.

How come guys like Elton John, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Paul McCarney and many many other proud English people became American citizens because they were getting taxed at 70% in Europe so they now live here and pay US taxes because its considerable less.

  19. al d. davis Says:

Last night I made the following comment under Corky’s post: “McClain will stand trial.”

“Ebony, sub-moron McClain needs to get his contract rescinded by the Raiders for moral reasons, and sent back to queer-nation with a banana between his teeth for the ape/half-monkey that he is.

I hope he burns over his crimes. Hopefully, he will “f” around in Alabama from whence he came and get capped between the eyes while entertaining some ni.ga nonsense in ‘bama’ ghetto.”

Later I made the following comment under this article submitted by Jerry Mac: “Allen was on a the fast track to HC.”

“McClain fits right into certain sterotypes and will be the cause of his own demise for engaging in nig.a nonsense. But it is all on him.

JaMarcus was the same way. Couldn’t even speak standard English, but instead spoke fluent ghetto slang, was lazy and fat and enjoyed purple drank more than lasting fame and fortune.

Because these boys don’t grow up with a daddy to whip their azz’s for bad behavior, they feel entitled as high-profile college athletes, then later as pros, to do anything they wish.

Then it all goes away, and rather quickly at that, and they wonder why? Look at TO who earned $80M during his career and is now dead broke and in arrears for $500k to his babies mamas: 4 kids by 4 different women, all as big as refrigerators.

Also, under the 1st Amendment and freedom of speech in an open and public forum such as this content of an individual’s speech is protected unless same person advocates illegality or such speech instigates “a clear and present danger” of violent behavior.

A person’s thoughts and speech are his own. Thank God for the U.S. Constitution.”

It seems that my two entries spawned a running discussion on race and racism which threaded throughout almost 900 comments.

    Let me say this:

65% to 70% of all NFL players are black, while demographically blacks represent 13% of the U.S. population. It seems that most of the black NFL players came from the predominant class of blacks in this country born and raised in the inner city, in single parent, father-absent-households, collecting serial welfare and public assistance, generationally.

This dominant sub-culture of blacks seems to disdain education and work, opting for ignorance and easy money. The young people from this sub-class (the ruined and enslaved generation) aspire to be either gang members, drug dealers, or “ballers”. In the case of “ballers” only a hyper-micro percentage will make the cut. Thus the vast over-numbers of young black men in prison and on death row, according to percentage of black population within the demographic ranks.

It cannot be denied that the blacks, due to past slavery, John Crow discrimination, and subsequent government entitlements and affirmative action programs are now on the brink of destruction.

To condone athletes’ behavior, like McClain, is disgusting. McClain gained his $25M contract because the fans like you and me put down our hard earned money toward it. His arrogant attitude in which he will not deign to do interviews or otherwise make himself available to his fans flies in the face of common sense and reason. His lack of performance and off-field antics don’t help his cause.

Even if McClain is not guilty of crimes he is alleged to have committed, he should have never been in the situation in that “bama” ghetto, engaging in “nig.a nonsense.”

He spits on and soils his fans, the Nation, and makes unclean one of the most storied franchises in the NFL.

I hope Reggie sends him away, if the justice system in Alabama does not!

Dorian. .. I hope he does well.. but knowing most Raiders fans.. they will be asking for his head on a platter if we go 6-10 or 5-11 next season. . They knew They were screwed if They tried depending on tebow game in n game out.. playing strong defense was their only choice.. I’m hoping Allen had something to do with that..

  56. MiamiRaider78 Says:

I see it like this. If the offense is overhauled, then we might be looking at, maybe not so good of a season. Very premature but i’ll say 9-7. I def believe they will not be 500 or under. If Denvers defense improved that much during a short training camp, then I think Allen and co could do wonders with ours. We have players but they need direction and to be disciplined.

Leave the offense alone and we can easily be 10-6, I truly truly believe that…no kool-aid, no crap.

Truer words have never been spoken. Granted, Hue was powerless regarding the defense while Al was alive. Bresnaham basically reported to Al. After Al’s death is a different story. Rather than ignore the obvious defensive meltdown, Hue should have either fired or at a minimum demoted Bresnahan and appointed anyone else to stand in as the interim DC. At the very least he should have put a lot more pressure on him for results. That simply didn’t happen. That’s why people are saying Hue was in actuality our OC. He wasn’t acting as a HC should. This is one main reason he’s no longer the HC of the Raiders. There were many other reasons too but this ws a big one IMO.

You are completely wrong on both counts. lst off, if you are in the 35% tax bracket which most middle income earners are, and you pay say 8% in CA state income taxes, not including say another 7.5% in self employment taxes, right there you will approximate almost 50% against income. And that is not including sales and gasoline taxes that would increase that number sharply. I have a hard time believing that Mitt Romney drives around enough to budge a point or two against his $2,000,000 a month income. Romney tithed 10% of his income to the mormon church. Add that to the 13% he paid and he is less than half proportionately to other middle income earners. And no I didn’t just make this up.

More from Denver in regard to what we’re getting with Dennis Allen:

“He knew how to get us ready,” cornerback Champ Bailey told NFL Network, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “I give him a lot of credit for the success we had this year. . . . He’s one of the most intense coaches I’ve had.

“I know what type of team he’s going to have. Very intense, hard-nosed, tough. That’s the way he is. That’s what I expect his team to be.”

Linebacker Von Miller agreed. “They’re getting a guy that’s going to come in right away, and he’s going to get it done,” Miller told NFL Network. “That’s what he did for us. He came in, he laid out a plan for us, he told us, ‘This is how we’re going to do it, and this will work,’ and that’s what happened. We improved our defense an incredible amount. . . . I think he’ll do the same thing with the Oakland Raiders.”

Raiders fans asking “Dennis Who?” should keep that in mind. Instead of latching on to an established name (i.e., someone who has been fired from an NFL head-coaching job), the Raiders are trying to find the next big-name coach before he becomes the next big-name coach.

The Raiders also became the sixth team since the 1970 merger to allow at least 2,000 yards rushing and 4,000 yards passing in a season.

The Raiders also set an NFL record last season with 163 penalties for 1,358 yards”

EVERY NATION FALLS. The expectancy is about 200 years – history has proven it – any capitalism-communism argument is garbage, since they were created and funded by the central banking powers of Europe. Congress is another well-paid, outmaneuvered illusion that has been bought off or corrupted or intimidated following 9/11 and the murder of Paul Wellstone (D-Minn).

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed – from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abudnance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage.”

If you’re right, it appear the whole world will face such karma, esp. those who are still practicing slavery.

First, take the entire of the African continent, a place where slavery has always existed, as far as we can tell. All the descendants of those tribes who sold the members of others tribes into slavery would face such karma.

However, we needn’t look to centuries ago for the enslavement of peoples by other peoples. Much of the African continent still practices slavery and the stealing of children from other tribes to use as slaves and as sacrifices to their gods.(Yes, they kill them). They also steal adults to use as barter or to use as slaves. And, we can’t forget the practice of female circumcision. God, the whole of Africa is, therefore, doomed, having to face karma.

Then, there’s Asia, of course, where slavery is still practiced, from north Asia to Southeast Asia, where the sex slave practices make a lot of money for the practitioners.

    Ahhh, humanity.

Anymore than you could look at St. Peter at the pearly gates and tell him that others have committed the sins you’ve committed. Too late for that.

    BTW, Sullivan,

Go back and study the enslavement of Amerindians by other Amerindians. You can go all the way back to the 1600s and read accounts of it by the earliest Euros who witnessed such things and were enslaved themselves.

Or you can read more up-to-date accounts. Wow. Talk about violent. My poor Cherokee ancestors were pretty darned passive, poor things.

Correct. Hence the conflict in Iran, with China-Soviet-Sino interests being threatened, and them being dragged into it – particularly if war in Pakistan is an option.
War will be waged to obstruct China’s eventual empire – it will be done through the balkanization and weakening of the Middle East- Syria first to weaken Iran, then some R2P Humanitarian “Crisis” will be foisted on to the public to gain sympathy and public consent/ and Congressonal “act” to attack Iran.

Could it be the real difference between the American liberal and the American conservative is that the American liberal takes full accountability for America’s wrong doing, America’s sins, and seeks redemption, while the American conservative deflects blame and makes excuses? If there’s someone up there watching, you tell me who’s in better with them.
    ==========================
Could it be they are two sides of the same corrupt coin?

    BUT

Until you get that QB, it’s rare to win it all without one.

We should trade CP for Tony Romo,….lol.

What a joke. As my friend the social scientist pointed out, “There is a strong, positive correlation between being liberal and living as far away from poor ethnic people as possible.”

  178. Sullivan44 Says:

Romney’s solution for the economy may as well be to punch himself in the face. 0bama beats either Romney or Gingrich 52%-48. He’ll just outclass Gingrich. Gingrich is already overplaying the “food stamp” thing. He’s no Reagan. Can’t sell it.

  179. Sullivan44 Says:

  183. Dakota Says:

Like frog face said back during bush-Clinton…. It’s the economy stupid. Independent voters will decide the election. They won’t buy the “it could be worse” campaign. The prez is in trouble against Romney who will appeal to the middle.

  184. Sullivan44 Says:

SnB, I never said the country would melt down. Just said we won’t be an empire anymore. We’ll be like England and France, failed empires. Question is, could the American white conservative handle sharing this country’s benefits with people of color? So far we see how they’re taking it. It’s going to be a rough transition. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of them foolishly try to start a revolution against an army that will be backed by Israel and China. lol. Good times. But when that dust settles, they’ll have no choice but to adapt.

  185. luvmarvhub Says:

I have no idea if it exists, Sully, but you know that wasn’t the point. Everyone noticed that you restricted your comments to this country when historically, as a period in history, we are less defined by slavery and enslavement by class and gender than any other nation on earth. E-V-E-R.

  186. Sullivan44 Says:

Romney’s going to appeal to the middle, with no economic plan whatsoever, Dakota? I’m sure the middle will definitely relate to the absurdly low tax rate Romney’s paying, despite his wealth. I’m sure the middle will relate to the fact that Romney made it rich through a firm that gutted struggling companies. That just resonates with the middle of those road independents, Dakota.

I hate thinking about such things because you only get 1 life to live….and having to live that life in survival mode is not something I am remotely interested in finding out.

  194. luvmarvhub Says:

    Sully,

I repeat–Romney, a very wealthy man, paid 40% of his 2011 wealth to taxes and charity. Good man.

Besides, I don’t want to take another’s money. I want to earn my own way. Don’t you? I want my children to feel they are obligated to pay their own way. Don’t you? I want my kids to learn the value of being productive, not living off the efforts or even the luck of others, don’t you? And when I die, if there’s anything left, big or small, I want my kids and grandkids to get what I have worked for all my life not strangers who eat bag after bag of Doritos and drink beer (or Purple Drank)while they watch Jerry Springer while their own kids run around in dirty diapers, don’t you?

Americans spend all kinds of money teaching people to fish for themselves, but a growing number don’t want to pick up the rod and bait the hook–too much trouble.

BTW, for a guy who’s into liberalism, I’d think you’d forgo professional sports. After all, a bunch of rich owners, a bunch of spoiled rich athletes who blow their money on materialistic nothingness, and who are, in large measure, bad role models for kids.

And, it wasn’t a “deflection”–just a statement of fact about what you termed “karma”–that if karma catches up with this country, it would have to catch up with Africa, Asia, and all of humanity, even today’s humanity. That’s if you believe in karma, of course.

  202. Dakota Says:

Unlike angry liberals, independents understand that Romney already paid the highest income tax On his money when he earned it , and the tax rate he is now paying is on investment income, which means he invests his money in companies who give people jobs. Increase his taxes and the other 25% he gives to charities will be reduced and the money that is invested in companies that give people jobs will be decreased.

Independents realize that the more mOney that goes to the government the more they spend.

And people just have to look at Europe to see the fall of those socialized nations to see what the left desires is unsustainable.

Romney is center enough on social issues and on the real issue, the economy , he is able to show he has actual experience In the real world.

The prez falls far short. He controlled congress for two years and couldnt bring the economy back. His promises ring false now that he has proven himself as unable to get the job done.

Go and talk to all the small business owners that have been pushed out by these behemoths that only contribute to the rising rate of folks living in the red and relying on public funds for health care and essential needs.

And then there’s China. Thanks to Nixon, we’re in bed with the devil. We complain about their very well documented human rights issues then turn around and feed the monster by becoming their largest trading partner.

    =======================================

“Major challenge” might be overstating things. Mitt is very weak: He has constantly shifted positions (to the point where I don’t think anyone knows what he truly stands for), lost two of the three major races he’s run in, would have lost by double-digits if he’d run for re-election in Massachusetts, and on the GOP’s signature bogeyman issue (”@bamacare”), crafted something very similar when he was Governor.

There’s also Bain Capital, which will be painted as “making million$ by firing people,” and finally an untold number of evangelicals who will refuse to vote for a Mormon. Can’t elect someone who believes in a slightly different imaginary friend in the sky, now can we?

ughhhhh!!!!! dude, here you go…..per wiki

    Senate
Main article: Filibuster in the United States Senate

In the United States Senate, rules permit a senator, or a series of senators, to speak for as long as they wish and on any topic they choose, unless “three-fifths of the Senators duly chosen and sworn”[36] (usually 60 out of 100 senators) brings debate to a close by invoking cloture under Senate Rule XXII.

Part of the GOP’s problem is that the Prez is a formidable campaigner, probably the best since Kennedy (and maybe even better). There’s a reason the GOP A-listers (Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie, Haley Barbour, Jeb Bush, Paul Ryan) all sat this one out.

  286. luvmarvhub Says:

Fannie and Freddie–affirmative action in housing loans that caused the housing collapse, and yes, Bush, along with Franklin Raines, Barney (I am getting married soon ) Frank, Maxine Watters and the Dems were all over this.

Ever since his days as Gov. of Texas, Bush believed that people who owned their own homes would create better neighborhoods. (Too bad he didn’t realize that they should have to be able to afford them). Of course, his buddy, Karl Rove, thought this would get him votes too, but Bush believed in the policy as “compassionate conservatism.” Truly.

However, he was stupid, and the others were feathering their minority nests, trolling for votes. You don’t give people something that’s worth a lot for free or for very little. That’s true whether it’s giving your kid a new video game or giving people a house with little to no down payment.

Lots of people love to blame the banks and brokerage firms, but early in the game, they were actually ORDERED to give these loans to people who, in previous years, would be considered bad risks. It was simply too easy to conclude that housing values would continue to rise, something sane people would have questioned, but beyond that, you need to require a decent down payment.

Both parties were to blame for that. The Pres, the Dem-controlled Fanny and Freddie. Fanny and Freddie need to be gradually phased out. For good. Forever and ever.

Part of it is the increasing reliance on the threat of a filibuster. Now, having 60 Senators is pretty much a requirement for any major piece of legislation. If you don’t have 60 votes, then you’re not getting it passed.

“If you believe in karma, you have to believe that at some point America has to face some kind of demise for slaughter of native Americans, enslavement of blacks, etc. We can tell people to put it behind them. But if there’s such thing as karma, everyone pays.”

    ===================

Uh, you’re leaving out the complete control of Africa and genocide of its people since the 1600s by England, and the monarchy, silly.

Generations of British race patriots declared the British Empire the finest empire on earth and made sure that it would encircle the globe again. Your largely stereotyped arguments dont enclude the encirclement and OWNERSHIP, i.e. “Theft” of the Congo, by Leopold the 2nd, nor the complete utter theft by diamond merchants such as the DeBeers Dynasty, and the division of Africa by the European Monarchies, which advanced slavery – through equally corrupt africans and of course, JEWS. (some of whom traffic human organs from Haiti to this day).

These kind of childish, misinformed statements and complete absence of real history is what is destroying America from within.
