Raiders interested in Packers assistant

The Raiders reportedly have requested permission to speak with Green Bay Packers cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt Jr. about the Raiders defensive coordinator vacancy.
Whitt Jr., 33, has spent the past four years with the Packers and worked with new Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie during that time.
NFL.com says the Raiders have asked the Packers for permission to let coach Dennis Allen interview Whitt Jr. Allen is seeking a replacement for Chuck Bresnahan.
The Packers have the right to deny the Raiders permission, given the position Whitt Jr. would interview for is not a head coaching job. Whitt Jr. also was with the Atlanta Falcons, in 2007. He coached in the college ranks for five years before signing with the Falcons.

That’s a good suggestion, but I refuse to plan a party around anything featuring the Cheats and that chick Ellen Brady.

Instead I’ll be sailing the Reggae Party boat and 75 VIP guests to Catalina Island, getting some romantic fellatio from some Cal State Long Beach sorority hos, macking on shrimp cocktails and doing ecstasy until my nads go numb.

You haven’t shared your Super Bowl party plans yet!

Suggestion: Get your laies to cover themselves in bean dip and walk around with a plate of chips…somthing to start with.

Remember Questin Griffin, RB in Denver? He was the size of a lawn Gnome, I remember defenders complained that they couldn’t see him…never really did anything after that.

    Forgot about Miller…

  • Beeecham, I hope your boat sinks.

Oops. Just read that he was on the other side of the ball last year.

Well, he WAS able to find some quality there. Maybe Allen is hoping he’ll find some on the other side.

Also, an ESPN “insider” is posting the Payton has been cleared to play.

If we hadn’t traded for Palmer I would be screaming for the Raiders to go after Manning, especially since it will not cost a team any picks since the Colts will be forced to cut him before he gets his $28 million dollar bonus.

Since the Raiders are out, I’d like to see him end up in SF or NYJ. He deserves to be on a team with a great defense for once.

“Sanders returns for his third season with the Raiders and first as defensive quality control coach. A native of San Francisco, Sanders was an offensive assistant on the Raiders coaching staff for two years (2010-11).”

The guy with the 800 page play book an offensive expert is demoted to quality control coach of the defense because he was still under contract.

If Al Davis did this to a well respected coach instead of DA he would be crucified by the media all week for this.

For the money IDK if Myers is worth it thought.. Is he gonna be that much of an upgrade.

The upgrade would be huge. At it gives us some serious depth and flexibility on the interior of our line. Myers has done a great job blocking some big time DT’s.

Sounds like the Quality Control Coach was Al.
