Ted Gilmore is the current Wide Receivers Coach for USC. He is a former Assistant Head Coach (Offense), Wide Receivers Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. In 2011, Gilmore was named Wide Receivers Coach of the Year by FootballScoop.[1]

I bet this Gilmore guy would make a better OC than Knapp.

  • Raiders for life

I hope Knapp wanted Gillmore, even though I know nothing about him.

This guy praised the “Tuck Rule” in his favor but then cried about the hit on Stabler in 76 which caused the Raiders to win the game…although right after, we got Mike Haynes!

Remember, we actually didn’t get Haynes till 6 yrs, later.

You know what it took to get him here?

-First Round draft choice 1st year
    -Second rounder the next

You guys know for a fact if we traded a 1st and a 2nd rounder for a cornerback this blog would be up for grabs with anger.

  • djohnnyg

    I’m “Happy’ we got Gilmore.

    Get it?

    Okay, never mind.

  • Raiders for life

Took me a second Dj, not bad.

Was talking to a die hard Donks fan tonight. Didn’t seem all that affected by the loss of DA to the Raiders. Said he ran an aggressive, attacking D, which is cool, but he qualified it by noting it helps to have Dumervil and Von Miller to do so.

Basically, what you’d expect after losing the DC from the 24th ranked unit who was really the understudy to John Fox anyway since D is Fox’s specialty.

  • DIRT-LOT FOOTBALL

SOUNDS LIKE THE COCTAILS ARE TAKING EFFECT.I’M TRY’N TO CATCH UP WITH SOME OF U GUYS..

  • hendu

Talk about Young Coaches on Staff, guess Knapp is the old man,OK with me.Sorry, but Ive got a Good Feelin about this,RAIDERS!!!!!!!

  • raiderfankirk

Just read through the live chat. What the hell is all the talk about trading DMAC for a first rounder ..He’s a number one pick already who hasn’t even come close to his prime. Who are you gonna get for him. That’s just plain stupid Steve. Think Faulk to the Rama and he was older with more wear and tear.

Yep, good point. My hope is that Allen can teach fundamentals.

If only Ted Gilmore could bring Robert Woods and Marqise Lee with him. Funny how a couple of all-American wide receivers can make a coach and QB look great.

Think for a second, why would an nfl oc, risk his employment and future prospects by playing guys that arent fit to his offensive philosophy? why would he risk the same by running an offense that isnt his strongest area of expertise?

just think for a second. Why would an NFL OC take a job with a team going in knowing he can’t succeed.

    I wouldn’t. Would u?

    Very easy answer= Money $

QB coach to OC= more money

    I’m looking at those contracts.

I dont think Eugene will be the same player he was. Chris Johnson and Eugene are the two most obvious cuts.

Seymour and Henderson should be under consideration. They are good players but their bodies can only handle so much more. Seymour’s contract is outragious.

We absolutely need to keep Carlisle if we are going back to zone blocking. He’s actually worth 3 million in that system. Kelley is also worth keeping at 6 million.

For a surprise cut potentially Curry or Routt. Would have to bring in a good replacement though and that makes it hard justify without any high draft picks. You still have to spend to bring in a good FA.

Dont know the guaranteed money in Huff’s contract but if its not that much then he might be a candidate. Wimbley is guaranteed so much that we might as well continue to overpay him. Half of Boss’s contract was guaranteed, he’s overpaid but should be kept.

Unless McFadden’s foot problems are chronic he should definately be kept. I believe DHB’s contract is reasonable for 2012 but I dont know the details. He’s still improving anyway and should be kept. Got to give McClain another year with better coaching to see what he’s really about.

Cant cut Palmer at this point, not without signing Matt Flynn. Considering he’s a QB, his contract isnt that bad.
