What can we get for Luke Walton…I mean, according to his dad, he is the most under rated NBA player..lol

  • J Hill

But Bynum better never injure his knee again, because then I am coming after you Jhill, for you are the one issuing guarantees that Bynum will never be injured again!

    ———————————————————–

    LOL!

I think you are tremendously undervaluing GaSTUD’s value.

Why on earth would you feel the need to give up our 2 #1s AND GaSTUD???

What do you expect D Will’s role to be with Kobe in the backcourt?

    Chris Humphries to replace GaSTUD?????

    No effin way!

  • DMAC

I like physical running backs, not those soft, non contact, scare to run over a DB running back.

almost like saying Huff will be our best safety in 2012

better than Branch, Mitchell & Giordano.

Branch is a better safety than Huff, I don’t understand your distaste for him?

  • RaiderRockstar

Ok so lets see what kind of offer that would be….let me take a crack at it first then you tel me what you think.

3 years 10-14 million 8 guaranteed is that about right?

    ***

    Silver,

that seems fair to me. That is almost identical to the contract Al Davis gave Justin Fargas after his 1,000 yard season in 2007

and Fargas was a better leader, blocker and locker room guy!

MBush failed to crack 80 yards rushing his last handful of games because of a number of problems, not all his own making: bad playcalling, poor blocking, the lack of a viable RB threat in relief…

And…solid RB stats come from yardage numbers all over the place: 97-yards here, 53-yards there, 113-yards over there. If a RB averages 75-yards over 16-games, he goes for 1,200-yards. When a Raiders RB runs for more than 1,200-yards, we enshrine him. If either DMC or MBush would’ve started the entire season, either would’ve eclipsed that mark — with another 600+ yards receiving. Justifiable Pro Bowl numbers.

  • HayesDaze37

I can teach a good RB how to block. I cannot teach a good blocker how to run.

  • bcz24

Bush’s ypc #s are what worry me, he was at an ok 4.2ypc last year, helped a lot by that monster game at SD, but Dmac was pushing 5.4 ypc behind the same oline. He wore down. Simple as that. Not saying its entirely his fault, but true #1 rbs dont wear down at the end of the year, and its even worse in Bush’s case because he didn’t start the first 6 games.

  • RaiderRockstar

    BCZ,

I like Huff. I just don’t like his contract

I like Branch. I just don’t like the thought of tagging him or paying him like a Top 10 NFL safety

  • DutchRaider77

So what is the prediction of a comp pick if M. Bush walks for the 2013 draft?

Remember 1/4 of the NFL are free agents?

Bush been in the league 4 years, and played college ball and hs ball and he hasn’t learned to block effectively yet. He isn’t a complete back if he has to learn a fundamental skill at 29 years old

  • J Hill

anch is a better safety than Huff, I don’t understand your distaste for him?

    ——————————————————-

I don’t know how you can say that.

Branch was FINALLY decent last year. He was BY FAR our worst safety in year the year before.

I think Branch has the chance to be a good one if he stays in the film room like he did last year.

Huff did the same thing the year before last and was DAMN good for us as a result. A better FS than he had ever been.

Last year Huff was HURT pretty much all year.I still say Huff is our best DB.

  • Silverandblack666

“I can teach a good RB how to block. I cannot teach a good blocker how to run.”

Yes I get that but we are talking about a back up RB when we already have a lot of money wrapped up in that position in McFadden. Plus we are over the cap and we need a lot more bodies in camp between now and then.

With all of that in mind it just doesn’t make fiscal sense to keep Bush if you ask me.

Sure he is a great player I love watching him but this is a business and we are over the cap and cannot afford to pay a 2nd RB top dollar.

    666 Says:
If the doctor tells you that you can play and not risk further damage to the existing injury all you have to do is manage the pain then I can honestly tell you that 99.9% of the NFL players before the year 2000 would have taken the shots and played.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++

    666,

Did the doctor really say he would “not risk further damage” to his foot if he returned? I don’t see that in the story. I think you are making that up to suit your needs.

If the Dr. said that, then why did Hue come out and talk about “jeopardizing his career” after the Anderson meeting?

McFadden played through turf toe injuries which are very painful, and he played through shoulder injuries. I think your twisting of what was stated in this argument is unfair to McFadden.

    HD37,

    sounds like excuses.

#1 Blame Hue Jackson’s offense, yet most people say defense was the problem last year or two.

#2 Blame the O-Line, yet Bob Wylie kept up the run blocking for DMAC and reduced our sack totals by HALF. Bush’s first few starts were solid too

#3 Blame the lack of depth. If DMAC doesn’t get it done next year, are we going to blame Taiwan Jones, Rock Cartwright & Lonyae Miller ???

Like those who worry about Andrew Bynum’s knee is no different than McFadden’s foot.

McFadden will be a pro bowl player for the Raiders just like Bynum is an All Star C for the Lakers!

    Dakota @ 993,

Amen. That is a truism that can be writ in stone and every bit as emperical as the laws of physics and mathematics.

Bush will get his payday, but not from Reggie.

Huff and Wimbley will restructure or walk the plank, they won’t even be given the option to kick rocks.

  • RaiderRockstar

Chuck Bresnahan made players out of Tyvon Branch & Aaron Curry.

  • HayesDaze37

    Give MBush29 a 4-year, $20 million contract, with $10 million guaranteed.

Trade DMC…I’ve been looking at who else is available, and revising his value. Matt Forte is obviously the expensive prize in RB’s this year. DMC isn’t nearly as expensive as Forte will be this year, and he’s more explosive.

DMC will bring a 2nd and a 4th this year, or a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year. Nobody else on our team could do that. For the right team, that would be a bargain for DMC’s talents…and we could use the picks.

  • Silverandblack666

“McFadden played through turf toe injuries which are very painful, and he played through shoulder injuries. I think your twisting of what was stated in this argument is unfair to McFadden.”

Dakota you are a staunch McFadden supporter and that is cool. I m not trying to twist words and in reality none of us will ever know what took place in the doctors office or in meetings with Hue Jackson all we can do is speculate which is what I am doing.

I love watching him play and would love to see a season where he plays in all 16 games. If I am wrong I will admit it and move on to the next topic.

Unless we personally spoke with his doctor none of knows what was really said.

    So yes I am speculating.

I don’t understand this trade DMac for a 2nd rd pick theory.

We’re paying DMac 5 million. Trading him would mean we’d have to franchise Bush and pay him 7 million.

That’s just not going to happen.

If someone wants to give us a couple of #1s then he MIGHT get moved.

Do you guys think Andre Johnson is being shopped for a 2nd rd pick?

Can you provide a link or source for your information. I thought he wasn’t injury prone at Ark, and the only injury he had wasn’t football related. He kicked someone at a bar, and injured his foot (as I remember it).
