Time to get a decent fullback who can block for DMAC and keep him healthy. we were 4-2 when he went down for the season. It would also provide another check down receiver on 3rd down when the D is blitzing. Think Tom Rathman, smart aggressive, great blocking in the backfield. RAIDERS!

Jerry McDonald ‏ @Jerrymcd

Asked McKenzie if Raiders would have fastest player in 40-yard dash. He said not if he can't play.

The perfect answer!

Misnomers to be dispelled:

Running backs are not important in today's NFL.
Running backs are a dime a dozen and easily found.

Certainly, the passing game is king. Gone are the days where an offense revolved around a dominant, bruising running game.

Never has the importance of having a premier QB and explosive passing attack been more pronounced.

The emphasis on the passing game has made it fashionable to underestimate the importance of having a balanced attack.

It's still immensely important.

I've seen it said that 'DMAC is a luxury the Raids can't afford'.

I prefer to think that risking discarding the best all-purpose RB in the NFL is a luxury the Raids can not afford.

Having a healthy DMAC potentially elevates the Raid offense to elite status. He's that good.

You simply can not give up on a talent like DMAC. He's the best player the Raids have.

No, his durability issues can not be ignored. But neither can his excellence when healthy.

Rest assured, having a solid ground game and a top notch RB is important, even in today's pass happy NFL.

Backs like DMAC are anything but a dime a dozen and aren't easily found.

In fact, I'd go as far as saying that the return of a healthy DMAC is the single most important element necessary to ensure the Raids being an outstanding offensive unit.

Keep DMAC.

DUMP SLOWLANDO.

I like Huff and Branch as our starters.

I think Chekwa might be a better FS prospect than corner. I think DVD has a better shot at one of the starting corner slots. Chekwa should be able to get in front of Gio on the depth chart.

I wouldn't call those guy "check cashers".

Couple of out of whack salaries and a non fit in the 3-4, so it wouldn't surprise me if 1 or more of those cats aren't on the roster come March 13th.
