what other options are there if KW gets dumped?

find a OLB in free agency for the vet minimum or throw an undrafted kid in there?

Shaughnessy and 4.5 million to sign another LB to play opposite Curry. I dont want to lose KW but it wouldnt be a total loss. Steve is wrong about a lot of things. Look at Shaughnessy’s scouting reports. He’s a 3-4 OLB, not a 3-4 DE.

The first thing I would ask McClain if I were Allen… “What exactly do you think a MLB is supposed to do?” And go from there.

My guess is he would say “If I see a lineman in front of me that looks like he needs help, I am to abandon my assignment and hope someone behind me covers my ass.”

Seriously… thats all he ever does on running plays…

Simply using McClain more in the blitz, and less covering the other teams best WR… will improve how he looks on our teevee’s.

And how frigging hard is it to get someone to STAY ON ASSIGNMENT??

I don’t know how many times last year all he had to do was stand there like a blob in the middle and the RB would have ran right into him… and instead he was either helping some lineman (why? who knows) or he guessed the wrong gap to jump into…

We could probably get same production from groves if we let kam go, jus resighn for a fraction of the price, I think it would go unnoticeable since they both can’t cover and are both to small and weak to play de.
