Lefty, I like Seymour and Palmer a lot, but their helping the team didn't come at their own expense. If anything it benefitted them as they got more of their money up front in a signing bonus, rather than delayed.

Chris, the difference is Palmer,Seymour and the rest restructured to help the TEAM.Wimbley refuses to do so to help the TEAM.He is only worried about himself, not a team player or the type of player Reggie has said he wanted. As far as Bush goes, you have to know it was the old man's idea for him to play FB and it was requested ONLY due to injuries, yet he refused to 'take one for the team'.Once again an Imate not a TEAMate.

LA to TheBay Says:
March 9th, 2012 at 3:11 pm
If Kerry Collins can get 10 more chances, JR surely deserves one.
——-

Then why hasn’t he gotten it?
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Damn good question! I suspect the bogus Vicks 44 allegeations leveled at him cost him him shot with the Bengals and Jets in 2010. Toward the end of the year, he got a look from the Redskins, who didn’t end up signing anyone. With no offseason in 2011 during the lockout, there was a glut of free agents that signed late and he probably got lost in the shuffle. Lots of bad luck for this dude. Too bad he doesn’t have an Ernie Acorsi, who was great friends with Joe Paterno, hand him a job like he did for Collins in NY. We’ll see what happens in 2012. If he really wants to make a comeback, and I don’t blame him if he doesn’t, he’ll get another shot.

********************************************************

Bogus load of crap.

NFL teams are billion dollar operations that will do virtually anything to win in an extremely competetive environment. This means that they have the resources to check out anything and everything about a player before making a move to sign him. Those "bogus Vicks 44 allegations" would have been checked out, analyzed and then checked out again before anyone made a move. So would the stories coming out of Oakland that his work ethic was laughable and that his attitude was not that of an NFL player.

If any or most of that was proven to be groundless he would be on an NFL roster right now.

"lost in the shuffle?" Stop lying to yourself. At some point you have to realize that Jamarcus sank his own boat, that he was the only one that could dredge it up, and he couldn't bring himself to do it.

LA,

Do you mind me asking how old you are?
Most kids in their early twenties can’t spell responsibility these days.
-----------------------
Pardon me for butting in here O...

My son is 20, and has been and is, way more responsible than I was at the same age.

Plenty of responsible young'ins out there.

Not just my Son, but most of His friends.

You guys are crazy, I wanted to be a field goal kicker when I was young. I've actually been training my son to kick FG's. You can make some good money and every team needs kickers.
