Bryant gets 2nd-round tender from Raiders

By Steve Corkran
Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 at 4:24 pm in Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders placed a second-round tender on restricted free agent Desmond Bryant. That means that the Raiders are entitled to a second-round draft pick as compensation if Bryant is offered a contract by another team and the Raiders refuse to match the offer.
In other news, the Raiders declined to make a qualifying offer to safety Jerome Boyd. Therefore, Boyd is free to sign with any team, with the Raiders not entitled to any compensation if he signs elsewhere.

    Free agent CB Aaron Ross will reportedly visit the Redskins on Friday.
    Ross will first visit the Bengals. Washington has had its sights set on the second-tier cornerbacks after losing out on Cortland Finnegan.

    WTF???

    SMH….

    Last year WR’s:

    (PASSES COMPLETED/PASSES TARGETED)

    Schillens: 23/38 = 60.5%
    Ford: 19/33 = 57.5%
    DHB: 64/113 = 56.6%
    Moore: 33/77 = 43%

    Talk about “Money Ball”! Pretty sure this is why Schillens will get a pretty nice contract… while some Raider fans here thinks he “sucks!”

    Hwn,
    Yesterday I was HOT. Today a little less. I hate to see Udoh leave more than Monta. I hate S Jackson returning I hope they have a trade worked out for him. Bogut will be nice next year. They threw in the towel on the playoffs this year only 3 games out that sucks! I think we will be better off next year though.

    Dakota,

    If you could find a way to get Carmelo on the team, I’d be ok with you also letting Bynum go for Howard.

    +++++++++++++

    Did you read that report that in just the past couple of weeks Howard has been called by Kobe and told he doesn’t want Howard on the Lakers?????

    If that is true, it is time to kick Kobe to the curb. Can’t let the fkn selfish fool destroy our chances to reload instead of rebuild.

    Other than Reggie White and Charles Woodson, did Green Bay ever sign any big ticket/big name FAs in the past 20 years? None come to mind.

  • qodrn1

    After the Warriors nutty trade, Reggie and the rest of the local GMs would have to do a lot bad to match that trade.

    New Post.

    Looks like it is time to implement the Alex Parsons Project…Kirwan said he could be the next John Randal! (undrafted superstar)

    So far I see nothing to indicate that Oakland is all of a sudden a more preferred destination now that the satanic Al Davis is not around anymore.

    Is Reggie the kind of guy that players wnat to come play for? How about Allen? Bush and Campbell can’t wait to get the heck outta here and take backup roles.

    I hear Bush is visiting the Bears to talk about a backup role behind Forte who is not injured nearly as much as DMAC, so his chances of starting are even less.

    Is Reggie and Allen trying to create an environment that guys wanna come be a part of?

    I hope so.

    I made that call that Bush would sign with the Bengals about a month ago. He stays helthier than Benson, runs just as hard, and he can catch out the backfield. Dalton was in need of that last year. Also, he played at Louisville real close to Cincy so they know what the guy can do. Not surprised one bit, Bush will be in a great situation with the Bengal’s.

    By the way Bengals were 40 mill under the salary cap so they have more money to burn on other players as well. They are in a good spot, dang!!

    Learn how to smell his name first retard.

    ============================

    You’re going to call someone a retard because of a spelling error? LMAO what is his name supposed to smell like, genius?
    +++++++++
    I smelled it wrong intentionally. Get a clue Jackwad.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Reminds of that kid in fourth grade that accidentally smacks himself in the face and then acts like he meant to do it.

    I spelled a word wrong “intentionally” after calling another dude a retard because he couldn’t spell.

    GTFOH!
