Mark’s hair, thanks for quote from Reggie Mac re: Bilikudi being a DT. I still don’t know where you got it from though, I was searching for it but couldn’t find it myself. But you’re the second Semi to say this. The SJ Merc/ Jerry Mac/ Cork listed him as “DE”

Raidernationdave, if you’re going to “source” film at least watch it right/ watch it for real before calling Reggie Mac a fool. I actually watched the clip and saw Bilukidi playing pretty much every position on the small college Georgia St. defensive line, from RDE to 5T LDE, to standup NT . Yes, two point stance on the Nose! Or maybe Bilukidi’s self-admitted “need to learn to play lower” is worse than we thought. Watch the film again Here’s Bilikidi’s highlight reel:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STiBwfkomOY&feature=youtube_gdata_player

As far as Bilukidi’s experience at a position going down the drain, given that Bilukidi has only played a little football since his senior year in HS and thus doesn’t have much experience to lose.

And lets forget Terrelle Pryor at any position but QB—changes of position, after all, are foolish, right?

Chris in NY: aren’t you jumping the gun a little on the Leon Lett comparison? As I remember Lett was huge through the chest and arms (for his era) and could really swat blockers around. Bilukidi has real long arms but gives no indication in the film that he knows how to use them much--yet. As Reggie Mac said, he’s a project ie has long term potential. When I watch that film I see a big athletic man with great ease of movement, agility, change of direction, and body control, good acceleration once he gets moving, but not much iron in his mittens or whack off the snap. He looks like a tentative, but smart watch-see-go reactor who will become more explosive, reactive, and instinctive with more football experience and technique work. Looks like he has a lot of long term potential, but I wouldn’t expect too much too soon

McKenzie himself said Bilukidi would be moving to the inside.
++++++++++++++++
If that’s the case then RMac is a fool and since Bilikidi is listed as a DE, in his highlight real the dude is playing up in the 5 technique, it makes little sense to stick him inside where he has limited experience.
RMac didn’t draft him to be a DT or NG.

Dave, reg called him a dt project, not me..

Physically, Bilukidi reminds me of Leon Lett. That’s a good thing. Lett was a Pro Bowl talent and major piece on that 90s Cowboys dynasty. Was truly a dominant player before getting caught up in some drug suspensions.
Like Bilukidi, Lett was an under the radar, small school guy: a 7th round pick out of Emporia State.

It’s the Reggie and Mark show now, so we will live with it.

=========================================

That's it right there, Hardline. Reggie wants to live and die with his own guys, so there's no excuses if he fails and can be confident in that, whatever the outcome, it was his doing and his responsibility.

Lefty12 I know man it just has been a long long standing problem with me because I fought it. Things are better you cannot change a culture overnight people have to see the need to change.

    No problem though I think there are enough fair minded people such as yourself who want competence and diligence and that is all that matters.

    People need to see that athletic QB does not mean BLACK QB it just means athletic QB..........period

    Nice talking with ya' Al Davis did us one last solid with that kid the man was an absolute Icon in my book in a wierd way I loved that man and I'll always miss him.

I see.....Jon Kingdon was terminated. 33 yrs is long enough in any business especially considering the fact of lack of performance in winning. on the Raiders' part. The scouting of course came under extreme scrutiny.

50 yrs was too long for AD to control the team: not his team but the partnerships' team.

I am sure Kingdon was let go for good cause, or maybe no cause at all. It's the Reggie and Mark show now, so we will live with it.

Don't get me wrong, there are some extremely astute and smart fans that show up at the O. It's just that there are also a bunch of schmucks that don't know much about football. Not talking about the folks that are new to football. That can be understood. It's the morons with limited brain power that have been fans for years but don't know jack. Only there because they like the team's colors.
