Cutting McClain would result in about 14 mil in accelerated bonus against him, while keeping him costs us 4.6 mil + 970,000 in salary. So to cut him we have to come up with about 8 mil in cap space this year.

Lechler costs almost 6 mil in cap space this year. You think there is no way he is cut?

I think you and Jerry Mac have to figure out something about the NFL salary cap if you want to stay in your current job. This crap of calling it a “myth” and pretending it doesn’t exist makes you look completely without knowledge, and frankly not so worthwhile reading.

Leinart had lots of left (throwing) shoulder injuries/offseason surgeries in college, and I believe another early in NFL career. He actually was good as an NFL rookie (like 5-6 years ago) and then many think his Hollywood mentality got the best of him overshadowing his modest ability as an NFL QB. He since has had more injuries to throwing shoulder, latest last year after throwing like 13 passes. I think the free agent rookie took over for him after he got hurt though, not beat him out for 2nd string

I remember both of these picks when they happened. All I could say is that why did he (Davis) not just trade back and pick up picks. No one was going to take Jano till the 4th and Guy until at least the 3rd so you could of got Jano in the 3rd and Guy in the 2nd or early 3rd.

I’d have to disagree. Though everything else with the team has sucked worse than some of KK’s takes for the last ten years the kicking game of the Raiders has been stout during that time.

If given a chance Jacoby Jones would be much better than Chaz Schillens.
