It’s about 5% of your total cap. On a punter?

    *********************

Like I said, not good “value” and out of whack.

But at least for his $5 million you get the best at the position, it’s just not that important of a position. So it is not a salary-cap killer, like these long term deals to these scrubs we have signed in years past (Wimbley, Routt, Gibril, Hall, Javon, Jamarcus, etc.)

Osi is under contract with the Giants, but he is available for trade according to the media.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought there were some decent FA’s left, but yeah..most have been snapped up. At least as far as the BIG names go.

Osi for what? 3.5 mil? I dont think he’d take it..

Lechler AND restructure Tyvon would get it done.

    Vegas,

11 starters on Defense + 11 on Offense = 22 starters. Forget Ks, Ps, Condo, and the rest of the 53 man roster. 100%/ 22= Same % for Lechler.

  • Raidernationdave

    Or Raider Dodgeball or Twiddly-Winks!

  • http://www.raiders.com Raider O

    Cap Killer IMO.

  • Just Fire Baby

    “Killer”??

Really? I agree with everything you said but that.

Especially since he is only signed for this season at that salary.

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

People complaining about the salary of the best Punter in history?……… Wow.

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

A guy who dominates the field position game?

  • http://www.raiders.com Raider O

Killer when we can’t improve our CBs and improve our pass rushers. All we can afford is 2 CBs who didn’t play last season, a backup DE from the Giants and it’s not Osi, and a LB from the Colts!

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

I think some blog monkeys don’t understand the subtleties of the game.

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

With a defense like ours, and this guy can put the ball at the other end of the field?

  • http://www.raiders.com Raider O

I rather have a PB CB like A Samuels over Lechler for the same cap hit.

  • Just Fire Baby

    KK,

Do you think The Reggie will re-sign Shane next offseason at anywhere near the annual salary Al gave Shane?

I think Lechler will be lucky to be offered 75% of what he currently makes.

  • Marks hair

No punter deservers that much.. Needs to restructure & extend his deal. But we shounldnt cut him..

    Co-sign

    Go Nuggets

As far as I’m concerned, he’s worth every penny. He dominates the field position game.

  • Just Fire Baby

    Repeat after me:

    Daaa-niii-leeee-oooooooooo Galllllll-aaaaaaa-nnnnnaaaaa-rraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Fair enough, I am certainly not saying he doesn’t bring value on gameday.

We shall see what The Reggie thinks next offseason.

  • DonManoukiansNeighbor

Man! The season needs to get here quick. Next you will be looking up the 40 and salary on the guy that runs the pictures from the printer to the Qb.
It is what it is. We will address other positions and salaries next season.

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

Dude punts the ball from deep in our own territory and pins them back deep in their own territory. With a defense like ours, that’s important.

  • Just Fire Baby

I am going to channel my internal Mistic1 here, and declare that I wouldn’t trade Gallinari straight up for Carmelo.

I’ll take the cool Italian guy with the awesome name.

  • Marks hair

    Metta World Peace

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

Don’t put that schit on. Mistic when he’s not here to speak for himself.

  • Just Fire Baby

LOL….Mistic’s buffoonery withstands the needing to be present test.

Oh, and MB, call me a libtard you m’fer. C’mon.

Oh shut up you big blowhard.

I see your posts. I’m just shocked you actualy made one that doesn’t reek of your obsession with Al Davis.

You may be right sometimes…but it doesn’t change the fact that world would be better off without diks like you.

You’re just an unsavory turd and i’m sure nobody wants to be around you…ever.

You might scare a few people into pretending they like you, but deep down i’m sure you realize what an unpleasent jerk you are.

Must have dinged you somewhere along the line ashole. Now what do you want to debate about on here?
