McClain’s statement to media

Raiders middle linebacker Rolando McClain emerged from the locker room and gave a 36-second statement regarding his legal issues:

“I’m aware of the bad publicity that I’ve given the Raiders. I’ve talked to coach Allen, I have the support of the Raiders, my teammates, as well as the coaching staff. I apologize for the bad publicity that’s been put out there, but I mean, it is a legal process so I can’t talk much about it. But I think in due time, the Raiders and the Raider fans that are out there, it is what it is, I can’t really talk much about it. But it will be resolved in the near future.”

McClain took no questions.

Excellent point. Let’s hope you’re right. I might add I was being a bit sarcastic in that I don’t consider MJ the GOAT anymore than I do Jim Brown being the NFL’s GOAT.

    That crap is all subjective.

you know what Dave, and that is where he will be better than MJ…because MJ just didn’t know when to fianlly quit! He tarnished his legacy coming back to the who? The Wizards?

You do realize that Houston is drooling for Gasoft, right?

You don’t think a lot of GMs agree with you that he just needs to get away from Kobe?

Skilled 7 footer has no trade value? The guy who basically netted us Chris Paul?

    You’re babbling!

So numbers back up your head and shoulders better claim?

We are talking about this year and the future, not 2 years ago and the past bruh.

I think their numbers were pretty similar this year across the board.

And one of them isn’t coming off BACK SURGERY!

    —-

Or mulitple Knee surgeries?.. Like that?..

Pretty similar and similar are 2 different pay grades buddy.

And Bynum doesnt make NOWHERE near the impact on D that Howard does.

    AND I HATE HOWARD.

I guess the Laker talk is not as bad as seeing Sandusky44 in here and his senseless banter that is similar to finger nails on a chalk board.

    Your Homering!

Value is tied to Contract sir.

Teams literally CANT trade for a guy they cant afford.

There are %’s involved when moving players in the NBA.

Theres only a few teams who can even make an offer dude.

DA is not saying much about #55 right now but see how that tune will change if he is found guilty.

    ——————————————————————-

I thought he said plenty about 55.

Maybe you should take another look.

  • DennisAllensVisor

Houston also thought they had a trade for Howard done at the deadline too.

They will offer more to us before they even respond to a text from Kupchek.

  • Dakota

Stop talking Lakers because they were eliminated? Yeah right, that just means we will be talking even more Lakers because the offseason will soon begin.

    Jhill,

Who do you think the Rockets would give up for Gasol…..Scola of course, but they wouldn’t give up Lowry before, so i doubt they would now…..so who else?

  • DennisAllensVisor

And thats just to RENT Dwight Howard.

    LOL..

Laker fans are the funniest. True definition of Homers sometimes.

No one is going to pick up Gasoft’s contract. Way too much money, far too little heart. Like LaBron, looks to pass during crunch time instead of having a killer instinct.

  • hwnrdr

well, anyways…time to close shop and get outta here! Peace Nation!

    Deuce,

If you want to just keep throwing homering and purple colored glasses on then we are wasting our time.

Dwight Howard is a great player. He’s not worth Bynum and Gasoft. He’s just not. Sorry.

NJ can lose D Will for nothing or take an All Star C who is from Brooklyn (I think). The Lakers don’t HAVE to deal with NJ so they are going to have to sweeten the deal with something like Lopez or a # 1 pick.

Lakers can certainly get Lowry and Scola for a package involving Gasoft. So they are NOT giving Bynum away.

    Dakota,

Sorry for depressing you, just trying to keep it real.

Brown is Cable’s clone. Watching the Lakers all year was like eating tough barbecued meat, with grizzle all over.
    ++++++++++++++

Think Phil would have just sat and let Bryant shoot jumpers in every 4th quarter of the series? I almost heard him from Montana yelling at the TV “Run the offense!”

With coach Brown, the offense is watch Kobe shoot…..and it isn’t all Kobe’s fault….none of the other players looked like they wanted to touch the ball in the 4th.

    Sad.

Obvious that McCheese’s agent didn’t write that statement.

  • J Hill

    Dakota,

I think Dragic breaking out and Lowry getting hurt may have them revisiting that.

And so what if Houston is going after Howard too? Of course they would want him over Gasoft. What’s your point?

Are you suggesting that Howard will end up in Houston because they’ll settle for Scola and a draft pick instead of Bynum and Gasoft?

What your not getting is you have to take Gasol’s contract into consideration, oh yeah and his PLAY.

DWill is a free agent right now, so they cant trade him anyways.

Brother, your cool peeps, Raider fan, rah-rah…

Theres not a snowballs chance in hell the Lakers can put anything together to get Scola & Lowry.. Sorry.

If McCain was a good player I could see us giving him the benefit of the doubt.

From what I saw last year he was slow and jogging behind runners more often than not. Could not shed blocks and took bad angles, whiffing on plays.

    Unless you saw something different?

I saw someone who was playing out of position and knew he was being put in situations that he couldnt suceed in. And did what a immature player with no organizational structure does, pout.

Didn’t we get swept last year with Phil Jackson?

Didn’t Rick Adleman miss the playoffs?

    O.K. I’ll bite, just this one time…

I have been a Laker fan for as long as I’ve been a Raider fan.. I do back to the days of: Jerry, Elgin, and Wilt…

THE problem with the Lakers, rests solely on the shoulders of ONE man….

His name is Dr. Jerry Buss. Mainly for allowing his very inempt son Jim, within 100 miles of El Segundo, (team hq) let alone run/ruin the franchise…

Only when Dr. Buss pulls himself away from the poker tables at the Bicycle Casino, long enough to realize his idiot of a son is running “his” team straight into the toilet.. It’s just going to get worse….

    Playoffs? …….HA! Nevermind a Championship….

  • DennisAllensVisor

Mike Brown’s offense? He doesnt have an offense. LOL

    Never has.

His strategy is: Pass to Lebron/Kobe, pray.

Ok I can buy that, as we all know Chucky B is a half tard.

I just don’t see how RM and DA can talk so much about the kind of high character players they want then turn a blind eye to the legal issue McCalin is having.

  • J Hill

I can’t believe you guys are really sitting here trying to blame Mike Brown for Kobe calling his own number.

Blaming Mike Brown for Gasoft refusing to shoot the ball from inside 10 feet and instead throwing it to Durant?

    UHHhHh-MAZING!

    @silver

this is what Reggie & Dennis are thinking. It didn’t happen under our watches. same thing with Underwood

everybody gets a clean slate since 01/05/2012 (the day Reggie was hired as Raiders GM)

    so, really?

DHB is the only guy on thier crap list with that DUI arrest last month – yikes!!

Its not surprising that all the McClain haters are not liking his statement, anything he would of said you would find something wrong with it, but it is what it is and he cannot and shouldn’t talk about it until its resolved.

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    How about this:

“I apologize to the Raiders’ organization, Nation and fans for the negative impact and publicity my actions have brought. Hopefully, all matters will be resolved quickly and in a way that I can prove my worth to all parties involved – especially the Organization, Nation and fans. I look forward to contributing to the team in the most constructive and selfless manner as possible, in our efforts to reach the playoffs and the Superbowl.

I thank all who have faith in me and will work for all who don’t have faith in me, to be the best player and person I can possibly be.”

  • ohioraider

Can comments on this blog be used against McClain in court? I would think that “fails to maintain spacial awareness in pass coverage” ought to be especially incriminating.
