As for McClain I hope he does turn his personal life around. “Cash” does not buy class, but “change” does. Ethical people do what’s right before they make the bank.

As far as on the field, and the comparisons to Ray-Ray Lewis not looking good. Ray Lewis had game before the big knife fight. McClainwould not be missed.

  8. RaiderRockstar Says:

    DMAC,

    you’re pretty good at that!

Does anyone besides myself think we still need to do without a RB for our rotation?Trade DMAC!

  17. Raider O Says:

I want a big RB to be used with our fast and undersized RBs. DMAC: 6′2 215, Goodson 6′ 210, and Jones is 6′ 195. We have 2 RBs over 230 on the roster, we also have Reece, and we can add more players after the cuts.

  18. Raider O Says:

I think we are good at RB, QB, and WR.

  19. DutchRaider77 Says:

Does anybody think Reece is a big back?

4 and 1 do we hand it off to Reece for the tough yard?

  20. Al_is_theraiders Says:

cut knapp and we head in the right direction.

  21. Raider O Says:

    I think so.

  22. Raider O Says:

IMHO, we should use Reece the same way The Rats & Billisacheat use A Hernandez.

    questions for Corkran:

1 – do you think Reggie or Dennis will address the McClain incident, or do you think they’ll just wait to see what happens at the trial and if he gets suspended by the league, deal with it at that time?

  26. La Milicia Negra Says:

I dont think cockroaches and scorpions lives here..

weed isnt that an all-year thing?

  27. RaiderRockstar Says:

    questions for Corkran:

2 – any word on Marcel Reece and his contract situation? Is Reggie working on a new contract for him, or do you think it’s a standing offer to play for what he’s been offered or sit the season out?

    questions for Corkran:

4 – Murphy & McGee dealing with hamstring strains. does this open the door for Terrell Owens to be signed and compete for a roster spot, or is it just more reps for youngsters like Calhoun & Streater ??

  37. Raider O Says:

    RR,

We don’t have enough cap room to offer Reece a LT contract, but we do have a Punter with a $5.65 million cap hit. It’s OK, he is the best at what he does. Punting.

  41. DMAC Says:

    Who the hell is Streater?

  42. RaiderRockstar Says:

    questions for Corkran:

5 – in the event McClain is unavailable (jail/suspension) or gets cut, do you think the Raiders would consider adding a MLB in free agency or is the staff pretty high on reserves Goethel & Stupar?

  43. Bo Schembechler Jackson Says:

Spent the morning with Tammy Baldwin, who is running for US Senate from Wisconsin. Righteous lady! Tommy Thompson must go down and go down hard!

  44. J R Myers Says:

    KNC>Southwick.

  45. guest123 Says:

Punting is underrated. Lechler gives us a consistent 5 to 10 yard field position advantage over other avg punters. That can make all the difference between giving up FG’s or getting punts back to us. It helps the defense pin their ears back and attack the QB with the aid of the crowd noise.

    Lechler is money.

  46. DMAC Says:

Don’t want to throw salt on the wound, but that Laker talk sure is quiet in here 2day.

    ======================================

Here in Phoenix, the scorpions eat the cockroaches. No joke.

Weeds actually are much worse in the winter. In the summer, it’s too hot for them to grow. December comes though, and watch out! Weed city.

Wow Golden State Warriors having a press conference today say they’re moving out of Oakland who’s next?

  55. guest123 Says:

How about a candid question you know Cork will probably not answer.

Cork, in your subjective opinion, would you cut ties with R. McClain now after all the disappointing play and off-field trouble or do you stick with him and hope Allen/Tarver can turn him around?

Lost cause? yes/no and why. TIA

  56. McFaddens_Sneakers Says:

5 – in the event McClain is unavailable (jail/suspension) or gets cut, do you think the Raiders would consider adding a MLB in free agency or is the staff pretty high on reserves Goethel & Stupar?

I hope that if they do release him we have a solid back up plan. This may be a blessing in disquise for Mclain he might be extra motivated to prove he is not a bust.

5-10 yards with a bad defense that can’t stop the pass or the run is irrelevant.

  60. hwnrdr Says:

Anyways…DMAC, you wouldn’t have known…not even the Thunder knew that we aould give away games 2 and 4…they even said it themselves! I believe the Spurs are a better team, and the Heat won’t make it to the Finals!

    Colts released MLB Gary Brackett.

Brackett, 32, had three years and $18.2 million left on his contract, none of which was guaranteed. The Colts are turning the page away from Cover 2 and toward a 3-4 defense. Brackett, a career Colt and former undrafted free agent, missed all but one game in 2011 due to a torn left rotator cuff. He will struggle to find more than a minimum deal on the open market. Brackett was the Colts’ starting middle linebacker for six seasons. He racked up at least 90 tackles five times.

Which ILB position in the 3-4?.. Thats the important question..

He is Kirk Morrison in my book.

If schemed right, he can play the ILB 3-4 and WLB 4-3.

Taylor and Carter are both stiffs as major league players and are going to be career Minor Leaguers.

If belching after a meal in some cultures is considered a compliment to the chef what does farting after a meal mean?

    —————————————-
    It means you are nasty!
    ______________

How so? I mean if I gotta smell some dudes nasty azz breath after burping from a killer meal what’s wrong with me sharing my azz gazz?

    Don’t mind me…I’m high.

If you want to party, New Orleans is the game. If you want to watch football, its awful. Went to a MNF game there and they sat our Booster Organization at the top of the Dome near the A/C vents. Players looked like ants. The Saints do that to reduce the possibility the visitors can here their fans.

Q: Is Phillip Wheeler looking like a solid addition to the LB corps?

Steve Corkran: Absolutely. Very active and athletic. Fans are going to like Wheeler.

No doubt! Without him healthy the Raiders D will potentially suck like last year.

I’m going to the Cinn game. Should be plenty of good tickets. The game and Montgomery Inn ribs and a Raider win would make a 3 hr drive home awesome.

Q: Bigger need this off-season back-up RB or CB?

    Steve Corkran: Cornerbacks, cornerbacks, cornerbacks.

Steve sounds REALLY concerned about our secondary. JFB [blog GM] must be on to something

I see an undersized LB’ing corps and CB to be the biggest need going into camp.
