Raiders get to keep 2013 first-round draft pick

It was believed that the Raiders were on the hook for giving the Cincinnati Bengals their 2013 first-round draft pick if the Raiders advanced to the AFC Championship Game last season or this season as part of the compensation for trading for quarterback Carson Palmer. As it turns out, that bit of misinformation from the start took on a life of its own.
On Wednesday, the Raiders confirmed that the conditional part of the trade last October applied only to last season. Therefore, the Bengals get the Raiders second-round pick in 2013, regardless what happens this season.
The Bengals also received the Raiders first-round pick in this year’s draft.

Palmer you better get those ginger balls trimmed bro and pull your sack up, because this season its all on you. You’re the first real quarterback in a decade that we’ve had and a bad season from you is unacceptable.

We got the QB we needed and he will be worth the cost. The man has a mini camp to learn his wrs. Last season was not evn close to being fair or rreasonable. They threw him to the wolves and had him play sandlot football. Really? No DMAC. WRs injured. Tom Brady couldnt hav done better. We got the running game to help him and a new DEF coordinator that coordinates! JUST WIN BABY….JUST WIN!
