    Perspective.

Too bad Chicago is out of it for a year.

LOL…laker fans really think nash puts them over the top vs OKC?

    ———————————————————–

You can make a solid argument that the Lakers should have been up 3-1 vs OKC last year without Nash.

I just think it’s ridiculous that anyone can argue the Lakers offense won’t be better than it was last year with Nash at PG instead of Fisher or Sessions. That’s just unbelievable to me.

Are you really telling me Nash is not going to feed the bigs????

He’s going to let Kobe punk him into only passing to him?

No one is going to take the Lakers 3 million exception to come play with Nash???

    Ridiculousnessm LOL!

    Jamal Crawford too.

    PG – CP3 / Billups / Bledsoe
    SG – Crawford / MarShon
    SF – Odom / Caron
    PF – Griffin
    C – Jordan

    That’s a valid debate.

Pop benefits from having the whole organization on his side. Great “program” they have.

Doc has slight disadvantage of Danny Ainge making a bad trade with Perkins.

    Could go either way.

Kobe can now be the finisher he needs to be, instead of trying to be an orchestrator which he is not, I predict Kobe will win the scoring title easily next year, MVP honors, Lakers will win the No. 1 seed, which had they had against OKC could have easily won 4-2

  • DennisAllensVisor

Dude, Kobe hasnt been close to an ‘orchestrator’..

Unless that means he doesnt pass the ball ever.

Ok let me slice and dice this bs post up shall I?

You can make an argument that it shoulda been a SWEEP as well. Talent wise lakers aint in same galaxy as OKC in 2012

Who said shhht about the offense? We know Nash can play PG…but he 38 and cant lock a door let alone play defense

Nash can feed the bigs but btch ass Kobe wont like the fact that Bynum and Gasol get the shine they deserve. Yes Kobe will punk him…Nash was such a bz and calling and asking permission of kobe to come to LA…puhleeze…we know who runs that show

Nash is cool and the 3 mil exception means what when you dont have a leader of men like Dilbert being the coach?

  • Raidernationdave

Has anyone actually seen Kobe Bryant pass the rock? Seriously. Calling Kobe an “orchestrator” is like calling AIDS a “minor infection.”

  • J Hill

but he 38 and cant lock a door let alone play defense

    ———————————————————–

Fisher and Session had to be 2 of the worst defenders in the league. Can’t be any worse.

And to top if off, they posed ZERO threat offensively to offset their lack of D. Nash and his ability to run an offense add at least 8 pts to the Lakers scoring avg.

Gasol is going to have an All Star year, lol!

I know you’ll never admit it until they actually do it, so I don’t even know why I’m arguing with you, lol.

  • DennisAllensVisor

    Nash does make Pau better.

But the fact is it all comes down to defense.

The Lakers dont have the ability to defend the Pick & Roll or defend the Rim.

Cant win it without that. Period.

  • Dakota

If the Lakers can play defense like they did the first 1/3rd of last season, and Nash can provide them with some offensive consistency, then they will be very difficult to handle, even for the Thunder. Hell, if Nash had been on the Lakers during the playoffs last year the Lakers certainly would have been up 3-1 on the Thunder, considering the fact that Kobe shot them out of a couple games late.

But, those are big ifs, and you have to remember that Mike Brown is still the HC. And Mike Brown is a clueless mouth breather like Tom Cable.

    =======

I said Kobe was trying to, meaning he was asked to bring the ball up the court a lot, was setting up plays, getting people in right spots while creating his own shot off the dribble, now he can simply be a finisher, that will make all the difference in the world, Nash will take over those responsibilities, be the Orchestrator while Kobe can just jack up open J after open J after open J, it will be a thing of beauty, cant wait, just get your popcorn ready kick back and enjoy the show

  • Dakota

I doubt Mike Brown is smart enough to let Gasol and Nash run the pick and roll. He will just keep calling iso’s for Kobe and the occasional post up for Bynum….and Gasol will be hung out to dry at the free throw line area…. while Brown will continue mouth breathing and staring up at the scoreboard with those neck fat rolls glistening sweat waiting for some sort of inspiration from the basketball gods.

  • The Big Banana

Thanks, Dutch. I don’t take big Richard as a guy that would blow smoke either. Last year I could see it written all over his face that he didn’t like the defense, based on his response in a preseason sideline interview.

DAV it might have something to do with the fact that DH is the proverbial ‘turd in a punchbowl’; more disease than cure.

BSPN and the general sports world is all abuzz over Armani Toomer’s comments in saying he thinks that Tony Romo is a better QB than Eli Manning.

Little did anyone know but Toomer had just got done huffin’ some major glue because anyone stupid enough to make such a comparison (even after winning a SB with EM) has to be completely fck’ed in the head.

If anyone other than RaiderDeb can see Tony Romo beating Brett Favre and the GB Packers in their own hizzie in record cold temps let alone the vaunted 49′er D in theirs (never mind EM did both) then you need some serious professional help.

  • Raidernationdave

Steve Nash is a helluva PG offensively. No D. The Lakers problem is D. Yes, it really is that simple.

  • blackandsilverside

Kobe is finished after 16 yrs in the bigs. Steve Nash is a joke, way past his prime. Bynum is a “lil knucklehead” who has been so enabled from such a young age, he could care less. Gasol has run out of gas.

Metta Peace floats on Cloud 9.

Mike Brown lacks distinction and charisma and is in over his head; he isn’t a proper fit for Hollywood.

So who else is left ??

Seems to me that the Lakers needs to rid themselves of intra-family management, get rid of Kupcheck as the GM and find some good and competent outsiders to re-build then manage the team.

The Lakers will win nothing soon, except “bottom of the trash bin.”
