Surprise! Criner signs and won’t miss a thing

Everyone was presumably present and accounted for Sunday with the announcement that the Raiders had signed fifth-round draft pick Juron Criner to a contract.
Criner, a wide receiver from Arizona and the No. 168 overall, was a standout during off-season minicamps and OTAs and is expected to push for starting time as a rookie.
ESPN reported Saturday Criner and the Raiders were $14,000 apart in terms of signing bonus money.
Players will take a conditioning test Sunday, and coach Dennis Allen is scheduled to meet with reporters who cover the team at 1 p.m.

I think it would just be the fall out Reg had to avoid. To many other players signed and then you single one guy out and pay him more just to make him happy. I don’t blame JC for asking for it. But at the end of the day the deal is done and the media as usual has made something out of nothing.

I am trying to post a couple of Criners recent tweets, they show that he was getting caught up in all his hype. The dude would tweet story’s about how he is the steal of the draft and one saying he is the next Denarius Moore. Someone needs to tell him he hasn’t done schit yet.

Lol… So many fools jocking criner last week.. A guy theyve never seen take an nfl snap.. I saw a few ppl say he is our best reciver. That he’ll be #1 on the depth chart and lead us in catches… I saw a couple ppl say he’s the next fitzgerald.. And after his agent askes for more money. A whole 14k, criner gets a tsunami of hate..lol…..he didnt even miss a practice…overreact much?lol

I was taking a look at the schedule just now. That is one tough schedule. I think we might be able to keep up offense wise, but I really hope our D can hold off some of those offenses we will see. The first 4 games are crucial I think. If we go any less than 2-2 in those we will be in for a long haul.

Well he was a 5th/6th round pick that didn’t sign until the first day of camp and the story yesterday was he wasn’t going to until he got what he wanted, I wouldn’t call alot stuff that was said overreacting.

It’s a great summer to be a Raiders fan. Isn’t it?!
The weather is too nice here for camp…this isn’t some vacation spot. Oh, yeah, it is…but these mofo’s aren’t here for that (Jamarcus isn’t around here, is he?).
What’s with all the cryin’ over Criner?? Those late-round guys need to maximize every opportunity for a payday…that $14k is real money, all you make-believe people.
Criner might just be awesome. (Obviously) ReggieMac saw enough in the kid to make a semi-major personnel move by getting rid of Louis Murphy…a proven NFL receiver, if not a star, who at times could make good things happen.
Replacing any NFL-quality talent with a rookie is a dicey proposition. Make no mistake, Reggie REALLY likes what he sees in Criner.
In our imaginations, we see Criner as our #4 WR already…and the kid hasn’t done a thing yet. We see him stepping on the field, and instantly competing against (and burning) guys like Routt.
But…let the kid try to maximize his first professional contract, at the cost of an average-priced wristwatch for an NFL Player, and watch and listen to all the whining about it.
I’m here to say, Criner’s worth every bit of that $14k…and he just might be one of those rookies who come along every few years to make an impact at WR (see: Denarius Moore).

The player before him signed for 160k & the one after him 144k for a difference of 16k, now divide that 2= 8k + 144k = 152k…… Numbers maybe wrong? But I think you guys know what I mean…….
