Seymour no fan of replacement refs

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Friday, August 10th, 2012 at 12:52 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Raiders defensive tackle Richard Seymour told USA Today reporter Jarrett Bell he feels the integrity of the game is at stake with replacement officials.

“You never know who they know and who they’re connected to. And who are their favorite teams,” Seymour said. “To just say we’ve got some new guys coming in, who knows? They might admire Peyton Manning.”

Raiders coach Dennis Allen hasn’t gotten involved in the replacement refs discussing, calling it a league matter and keeping his focus on preparing his team.

Replacement officials were in Napa over the weekend and met with players to go over rule changes and points of emphasis.

Since Richard Seymour has been in Oakland, that line has been one of the most physical lines in the league. His leadership has been tremendous since he’s been here.

Branch was out with back injury; Myers left early with shoulder injury and that’s the one that Allen said may be a concern

BrownStains, the Raider DT’s weren’t a run first defense.

Cincy leading Jets 17-3. I know Rex is pizzed cuz I watched hard knocks and he gets irate when the jets don’t do well preseason.

    Great pass Tebow!
I can’t believe this guy is still playing QB.
    WOW!

    Burfict showing up.

  • DJ Johnny

I love it when weird guys like Rex get all upset about preseason games.

    Woops…Tebow just picked. By Burfict.

Mayock thought Burfict shouldn’t of even been drafted.

  • http://www.raiders.com Raider O

    lol DJ.
    My pleasure.

  • morilla

I guess Burfict has been having a really good camp. Out to prove everyone wrong.

  • DJ Johnny

I was hoping Tebow would take the gig from Sanchez. Just for fun.

  • DJ Johnny

C’mon Cincy pile on….I wanna see Rex blow a gasket.

Mayock is overrated. Kiper and his sidekick are idiots too.

  • http://www.raiders.com Raider O

I agree, but i kind of feel sorry for Kiper. He picked Jamarcus to be a franchise QB in the style of Elway.

How embarrassing. You can still google his Jamracus assessment.

I hate listening to Mayock during the draft, but it’s better than watching ESPN.

    I said the same thing.

  • Plunketthead

I missed Tebow. I had to go blow trees in the middle of the road with the neighbor. One of the pros of living in the sticks.

Three more days!! When was the last time we looked good in the pre season. Kiff got us an undefeated preseason but we did not look so hot doing it if I recall.

Has Debo ever reponded as to why JaDoofus has not caught on with another team yet?

I know, I know…..Al Davis destroyed him psychologically, physically and emotionally.

me and my girlfriend goin to a duece blastin party tonight. drop and plop, winner gets a gallon of gallo. style and placement are critical, size does matter.

  • Missus Beeecham

    Holla Fo Real

A good duece layer should be able to weigh in at about 3% + of total body weight, though I have seen a gal drop one in at about 10% of her weight. it was flat out impressive. my best is 8%, but i like to stick center line. i’m a accuracy freak.
