Calhoun, Kurn suffer knee injuries

By Steve Corkran
Saturday, August 11th, 2012 at 1:43 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Rookie wide receiver Duke Calhoun and rookie linebacker Mario Kuhn suffered knee injuries within a few minutes of each other Saturday. The injuries looked pretty serious at the time and, sure enough, Raiders coach Dennis Allen said afterward that they “look to be significant.”
Kuhn and Calhoun required help from two team athletic trainers to get off the ground. Kuhn walked off the field under his own power. Calhoun was taken away in a motorized vehicle.
Kuhn got hurt in a punt return drill. Calhoun went down while making a cut on a pass pattern.
Both are long-shots to make the 53-man roster based on their inexperience and the competition level at their respective positions. Now, it’s possible that they will miss considerable time, if not the entire season.

It’s not looking good for AC. Stem cells didn’t work and he is not ready to go. Might be the end there. He played hard when he was here but arthritic knees are just too problematic.

So current rosters are at say 90-53 (team) -8 (PS), so approx. 20 players x32 teams =640 players will be available say 10% of 640 will be decent which gives us 64 players we shoul look at after cuts! Go get them Reggie/Da…

MistaBrown can’t explain why our current Prez is leading in every battleground state. He also can’t explain what would be so great about the war with Iran Romney is guaranteed to get us into.

Haha. You mean the draft dodging tax evading Romney? Who in their right mind would want a cowardly draft dodging tax evader with his finger on the button? Oh right an imbecile like Jamista Clown. But Jamista still thinks the Italians invented electricity, that climate change is a myth and that those upper class tax cuts are starting to filter down to his shopping cart full of bottles and cans.

We’re seeing the “fruits” right here of the new CBA prohibiting hard offseason practices. Players are too soft when they hit training camp proper.

Even though Allen preferred Bill Johnson or Emmitt Thomas, I think we may have lucked out with the DC we got.

No. Henderson is done. Henderson is one dimensional and it is the wrong dimension. As soon as he came in for us teams reared back and started passing. Fortunately Henderson knocked down about 6 passes otherwise it would have been really ugly while he was out there for us.

Get a kick out of guys like Clayton and Bellicheat b1tching about the replacement officials. Please, like mistakes and blown calls are something foreign to the regular officials.

What’s the matter, hobo Billicheat? Not getting the calls you’re used to, like the Tuck rule? Miss your buddy Walt Coleman much?
