Raiders getting the better of yardage, but generally this is an unslightly preseason game worthy of its score.
Raiders run defense encouraging, although we’re already heavy into reserve time. Undrafted rookie free agent Rod Streater has six receptions for 66 yards. He caught 19 all last season at Temple.
Maybe Terrelle Pryor can liven things up in the second half.

To be honest, our D hasnt shown us anything yet. We’ve seen plenty of good first halfs in the past.
Our problem was the scheme, fatigue, penalties, and giving up huge runs. We wont know the truth about our D until week 1 of the real games.
But I honestly believe that we will be fine.

Romac looks like he did in college for the first time since…well…. college.
Burris is active as heck.
Other than that, nothing much else we can take from this scrimmage at this point.

Offense showed some mental mistakes.
Palmer’s brain fart of an int, and A LOT of drops from key players.
Ford doesn’t play like that, so I’m not worried about him.

OK, so that was a crappy half. What do I take away from it ?
1) The offense despite looking sloppy and the bad drops, still figures to be able to put points on the board as long as CP(Captain Pick) quits giving the ball away.
2) The defense might actually be improved.
Disappointed we were sloppy, CP’s pick was pathetic, pass protection was spotty, but still confident that side of the ball will be OK.
Houston and Kelly provided some pass rush, run defense looked surprisingly good. Didn’t see Slo-mania jogging.
Coulda been better but nothing (besides CP’s bonehead pick) that really gets me worried. Ford will be OK. Criner won’t drop that pass again.
We’ll be OK.
