Halftime: Raiders 10, Lions 6

It took the Raiders eight snaps from the 8-yard line to get into the end zone, but Darren McFadden was finally awarded a 1-yard run on a play overturned by officials.
The Raiders piled up plenty of yards if not points, more than doubling Detroit’s offensive output. Eddy Carmona’s 56-yard field goal at the halftime gun gave Oakland a four-point lead.
The Oakland defense more than held its own, giving up two field goals and holding the Lions in a goal-to-go situation.
Detroit had only three points to show for a Palmer interception on an ill-advised screen inside the 20 and an 80-yard kickoff return by former Raider Justin Miller.
Philip Wheeler broke up a pass intended for Calvin Johnson at the goal line.
Detroit quarterback Matt Stafford left the game with an injury to his non-throwing hand and Sebastian Janikowski is likely out with a groin injury.

First half thoughts:
1. Taiwan and Dmc look good.
2. Zone blocking scheme continues to show it sucks in the red zone.
3. Is there still anyone who thinks DHBeast can’t catch?
4. Defense is going to be our linchpin this season.
5. Wheeler= solid free agent pickup.
6. You might want to put streater on your fantasy football team late in your draft, or after draft, he’s looking dependable.
7. Carson looks better then last week but he still struggling. He needs to pick it up.
8. Knapp is super predictable. I knew he was going to run that draw on 3rd down. He’s lucky Taiwan got that first down for him.
9. Jano, next time leave the golf clubs at home during camp, you can’t be missing chip shots.

Offense is looking better.
Knapp needs to figure out more efficient plays at the goalline.
That DHB catch was great. He’s come a LONG way.
1st pick was mostly Palmer’s fault, although Jones was held while coming back for the ball. The 2nd was obviously McGee’s fault.
DMac is still DMac. Streater is beyond impressive. Criner still nowhere to be found. TJones will be a playmaker when healthy.
The defense is the most impressive thing about us so far.

Forget Palmer. Raiders need to pull a “Broncos/Tebow” and design the offense around TP. Looks he is getting better every game.

Like I said in a previous thread – he was only the QB coach in Houston and had nothing to do with the success of the offense on gameday… especially not the running game.
